Alan showed up more or less immediately in response to messages, bringing a new tank and a friendly, helpful attitude with him. when it turned out a different tank was needed, he went back and got it. he spent Saturday evening doing the messy grunt work of getting the old tank out and the new one in and was unfailingly cheerful and enthusiastic the whole time. a lot of people would show up and do the job, but make sure you knew it was ruining their Saturday night. not Alan! the work was done flawlessly and he cleaned up after himself far better than necessary. at the very end he was still upbeat enough to show me the cool remote control spotlight on his truck :) thank you Alan!

Cups and buckets were helping the situation but it was clearly a losing battle. Calling Alan's office, they recognized the urgency of the situation and soon sent Derrick over to examine the problem. The leak was getting worse and Derrick shut down the water heater and took the pressure off it. The following day Eli showed up with a new water heater, removed the old one and installed the new one, and by late afternoon he and Alan had the new one working perfectly. Amazing response from start to finish! Alan and his company are extremely accommodating and congenial. I highly recommend A. P. Fortes for all your plumbing needs.

The bad news keeps coming…read more Two years ago I fired these guys after my bathtub fixture started geysering on a Friday night all over the ceiling and spraying in my bedroom. Fortunately I was near by and the floor damage in my bedroom was minimal but the bathroom ceiling and lights needed replacement. They refused to come over despite offering 24 hour service. So I had to race through the house to turn off the water to the house and live without water until they decided to show up. They tried to blame the contractor but finally had to own it was their mistake. They did repair it. Two years later I went to install the second dehumidifier they had sold me only to discover it was defective and now out of warranty, after 4 attempts it get it working by our current plumber. You now know the potential consequences of using them: 24 hour service is meaningless; they try to blame others for shoddy work; and the products they sell may be defective. We get to pay for getting their mistakes fixed.
