We are so glad we did because buying a property in NC while living in Florida came with a bunch of bumps in the road. All of these bumps became very smooth with the help of Bret and Amber. From FaceTime showings of potential properties, setting up appointments with contractors (and actually meeting them at the house to get quotes), putting us in touch with local vendors and even just simpler things like telling us great places to eat! Buying a house is stressful and I really could not have imagined doing this without them helping us along the way. We will definitely be recommending them to friends and family who also decide to move to the area. If you are looking to move to Asheville and are worried about buying a place while you live in another state, these are the people to help. I wish I would have found them way earlier in our house hunt. Thanks again!

From the listing process, handled flawlessly by Hannah Heedy including the coordination of photos, listing details and handyman references, to the market presence and negotiations by Dave Cash and through the final stages of closing with Amber Cloutier, I was thoroughly impressed by and excited for the overall experience. I highly recommend working along side this excellent team - outstanding levels of integrity, friendliness and local knowledge.

Our kiddos were growing up and in the stage of being everywhere all the time, so we needed to live closer to town. Matt came out to meet with us and evaluate our property. We had a tricky situation because we also owned and were selling my mother-in-law's home next door. There were weird right-of-way and well-sharing things to figure out since we would be selling the two homes separately. Matt and his team were on it. We had no stressors when it came to all of the crazy paperwork. My mother-in-law's home sold very quickly, and our home was not far behind! We were shocked with how fast everything happened. At the same time, we were on the search for a home that we could afford that would hold our big blended family. Enter Samantha Profetta...super realtor! She and her team helped us look all over Asheville until we found the first and only house my husband and I agreed on. Again, there were some funky issues to handle with the seller, and Samantha was all over it, making the process peaceful for us. We love where we live, and if we know anyone looking to buy or sell, we would recommend this team. If we ever move, they'll be the first call we make! In addition to all of the awesomeness during the buying and selling, Samantha calls us to check in, sends us home "anniversary" notes, and the team is always doing fun customer appreciation events. We just LOVE these people!

We soon realized we made the right decision partnering with Darrell; from our first consultation, it was clear he was attention-oriented and detailed in his process. Darrell's advice was comprehensive with no stone left unturned, and we were able to get our house staged and sold within 1.5 months. We then decided to continue our partnership into the buying process, and Darrell continued to go above and beyond through his dedication to closing the deal on our dream home, and by proactively providing us with all the information we needed to make an informed buying decision and finalize the transaction as smoothly as possible. We are so happy to have moved into our new home within 4 months which leaves us with plenty of time to prepare for our new family. With that, I highly recommend Darrell for your real estate endeavors.

As an out-of-state buyer, I relied heavily on his expertise, and he exceeded all expectations. Over the course of a more than a year-long search, he showed me at least 30 properties and went above and beyond by creating detailed video tours of homes when I couldn't be there in person. His deep knowledge of both the local market and construction was invaluable. His extensive experience allowed him to offer expert insights on remodeling options and property improvements that went far beyond what typical realtors could provide. When I finally found the right house, he managed every detail of the purchase process with remarkable attention and professionalism. He often rearranged his schedule to accommodate my last minute viewing requests, and never showed frustration when I was indecisive or picky. He was always calm, kind and focused in stressful situations. His stellar negotiation skills repeatedly led to exactly the outcome I was hoping for. I wholeheartedly recommend Darrell and feel so incredibly lucky that I found him to be my realtor.

From our first conversation, she was warm, knowledgeable, extremely organized and clear in her communication. We knew almost nothing about the home-buying process, let alone the complexities of the market in Asheville, and she made sure we understood and were aligned every step of the way. It took nearly a year to find our house in a rollercoaster market with a lot of ups and downs, but Anne Marie kept us level-headed and never rushed the process. She kept our needs and preferences as the top priority, gave us her honest opinion, and toured houses I'm sure she knew weren't the right fit in order to make sure we left no stone unturned. Once we were under contract, she took so much off our plates by helping us get quotes and expert opinions on multiple issues and meeting with countless vendors during the short due diligence period. We purchased our home without seeing it in person, which may not have been possible without her understanding of our taste and lifestyle needs. We're so lucky to have had such a patient and skilled agent when buying our first home. I can't recommend her enough!

Perhaps consider getting a copy of the Beverly Hanks agreement to read, prior to making an offer. If time allows, before making an offer, visit the useful website "Graphic Information Systems Buncombe County," and check flood zones, school districts, surveys etc.. Also, if considering applying to public schools outside of your child's district (a complex process with variable success) you may want to consult public school employees. City & state employees & the "North Carolina Real Estate Commission" have varied free info resources. Brock Law firm helped us with the toughest unexpected problems and appeared affordable, thorough, honest---definitely recommend this firm! Glad we had this firm pick our title insurance too, though Beverly Hanks can do this. Pay attention in the final process. I ended up on my knees, scrubbing orange clay off decks, hours after purchase, as the home seemed to have been shown by agents while under-contract, but there weren't mats on the deck during the rainy, messy, muddy spring. Nothing like celebrating a home purchase with more ibuprofen than champagne. Realized the home's new dishwasher had a component which wasn't installed, but the directions were still there. Removed a toe jam and got it fixed up. Our agent had come to closing but forgot to give us a final bill for close to $2,000 dollars for misc things, so I needed to meet & take care of this bill and other forgotten things the week following closing. Since purchasing this home, we've had worrisome trees removed and driveway widening work done. Wish we had budgeted for extra stuff. This will be small potatoes in the long-run, but I hope others can learn from me now.
