We chose Hart Masonry to correct the work done by another local waterproofing company. That business fixed the problem of water coming into our house but did nothing about our cracked basement wall, which only got worse over time to the point where the wall was in danger of collapsing. Despite the seriousness of that wall's condition, one or two other companies recommended wall anchor systems, which Brandon recognized would be insufficient to hold back a concrete block wall as deteriorated as ours. He also noted the insulation put around the base of our house by the previous company was meant for indoor use. We did make attempts to contact the company that did the original work, but it was murder trying to get them to respond. They finally did, but by that point we'd decided to go with Hart, even though the other company would've been less expensive. We just didn't trust that first company anymore. I'm glad we chose Hart because they did an excellent job. Brandon was very professional, letting us know what was involved each step of the way. They worked hard and fast and we finally have a great solid basement wall. I'd recommend Hart in an instant to anyone who needs waterproofing and foundation repair. read more

We recently had Hart Masonry and Waterproofing replace our foundation and waterproof the basement. The entire process was easy and Brandon and his crew were phenomenal! We had multiple companies out to quote the repair (big name companies that you see advertising everywhere). They all wanted to put band-aids on the problem, Hart Masonry was the only company that wanted to get to the heart of the issue and fix the entire basement so the foundation would be good for life. Most of the digging was done entirely by hand and the repair took 3 days less than originally expected which was a nice surprise.They were polite, efficient, willing to work around our schedule, and cleaned up after the work was completed. I'm sure they do great work, but would never do business with them again. I had a hard time getting someone to call me back on getting an estimate. I finally got an older gentleman Rich on the phone who clearly had gender stereotypes in his head. He spoke to me like I was an ignorant woman when I'm actually well-versed in home improvement and work in the industry. That aside, the new leader of the company did end up contacting me wanting to do an immediate quote - so I physically left my job, drove home to meet him on his schedule (clearly not mine) so he could take a look at the issue. He seemed very nice, and well-informed about his trade. He explained thoroughly what was likely the issue and what he and his team would do to perform the fix. I was pleased with the interaction and was likely going to hire them for the job. He left letting me know he'd send me a quote via email. That was two months ago and several follow-up voicemails left later, I still have no quote or a return phone call to explain the situation. I'm assuming they found better jobs to fill their queue, but professionalism and follow-up to at least let me know out of courtesy - absent. Interestingly enough, they did make sure to 'put down' another local competitor of theirs to me for never returning quotes - guess they're not any different. If you want arrogance and hypocrisy for the chance they might happen to do work for you - these are your people. Otherwise, don't waste your time. Very disappointed. read more

I called this "masonry" company because they are located in my community and I believe in supporting local businesses. I called them to set up an appointment for an estimate to rebuild my chimney. the man I spoke with (rich) asked when I wanted the work done, because they were booked up through august. I told him that was no problem, if he got the job he could do the work at his convenience. he told me he would call and set up a time to give me an estimate the following week. the next day rich called to tell me they were just too busy to do the job, without even seeing the job or doing the estimate (even though I gave him an open schedule to do work whenever he had time). I thought small businesses were looking for all the work they could get, but I guess I was wrong. I would never give this company an opportunity to work for me again, period. read more
