Quality repair and great customer service. Don't waste your time or money at a traditional tech repair shop.

I took my MacBook Air to Hartland to have the keyboard replaced; one of the key caps had come off and simply no longer worked. I also took in a older MacBook Pro that would no longer boot up. When I got my computers back (at more than $200) things were fine -- for about a month or so. The trackpad on the Air stopped working and the cursor frequently moved on its own. I took it to the Apple Store and they replaced the trackpad. The cursor problem got worse. Back at the Apple Store again, they said that the back of the computer did not match the top of the computer -- the serial numbers didn't match and evidently the trackpad didn't fit correctly when it was replaced by Hartland. The cursor issue was also caused because the back had been replaced by a back that didn't match. I ended up having to buy a new MacBook Air; the Apple Store did credit me for the trackpad they replaced but I was still out a lot of money because of what Hartland did. I guess they figured it didn't matter if they used cheap or substitute parts. Or maybe they just don't want to repair computers any longer. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I have taken my computers to them three times now and every time they have either fixed the problem or provided the operating system update quickly and for a reasonable fee. I am so impressed with their customer service, the way they can quickly diagnose an issue, and the work they do. Plus, I am very nervous about handing my computer over to someone considering the personal information stored on it, but they have proven themselves to be completely trustworthy. Even though there is a computer repair company just a few blocks away from my house, I will ALWAYS drive a computer to their office for service. 100% worth it - highly recommend!!! read more

I called Hartland Computer Repair to have them install a program on my sons computer so that he could record videos. They were very helpful and also trained my son on how to use the software. Bad location. Hard to find because it's in someones house! Not air conditioned. Ridiculous pricing.

I can't say enough about how great the service was from the first phone call advising me on what to purchase to the moment I brought my new computer home and plugged it in. Crystal did an excellent job setting up the new computer, transferring everything over. I brought all my accessories as my goal was to come home, plug in my computer, and never know it was a new one. Note: Home-based office without any signs (apparently due to zoning laws) so when you see the house with the green light over the garage, that's the place. I walked in with a simple problem (busted power cord on my laptop) and Steve was incredibly friendly and helpful. After he gave me a very fair price on a new cord I decided to pick up some more ram while I was there - Installed it and gave me a quick clean-out with absolutely no charge for the labour. Again, really super-nice and knowledgeable, totally recommended - Will call back whenever my computer goes bust in the future. =) read more

Ross replaced the hard drive on my Mac. They were quick, through and professional. Ross took time to answer random Mac questions and show me unrelated things when I picked up. I have a Hp laptop and unfortunately broke the screen, when i brought it to Kennedy's bookstore on campus. I honestly did not have high expectations just need my laptop fixed. I was called that very same day and told that they had a screen and would start working on it, he was very friendly and even got it fixed that very next day! The price was fair and he talked me through everything he had to do. If you need anything computer wise make sure you go to heartland, and if your on campus student/ employee you can drop it right off at Kennedy's bookstore!! PROBLEM: They confirmed that the hard drive had failed and replaced it and then restored my data using my back up. Plus they discovered the wireless card was not working and they replaced that as well. I was very impressed right off the bat with owner Steve and his super responsiveness to my situation. This was my first contact with the company but after looking over the web site, I figured they were very capable....so I called him and told him I feared my hard drive was dead on my iMAC and that as a full-time self-employed graphic designer, I could not afford down time. I took it in immediately and then he rushed it through, even as they were in the throes of moving to another location. He told me up front an estimated cost. He also told me what to expect as far as communications from them and he did let me know as soon as he could what was wrong and gave me a couple of options on the hard drive. And then he kept me in the loop over the next day and had the computer ready as promised. There was a minor problem when I got the computer home, but he and his staff were attentive and it was resolved. I was very happy with the level of professionalism and friendliness. You need to be able to have confidence that the people who work on your computer (or car, or broken arm for that matter) are competent, reliable and fair. Hartland lived up to that so I guess they are now "my computer guys". I would recommend Hartland to anybody who needs help with their computers and other electronic devices. read more

I came home from a long vacation to a computer stuck in an automatic disc repair loop. I took it to Steve, and he got me squared away. He was very friendly, had the computer done in 3 days, and I actually ended up paying less than he originally quoted me. He ended up having to re-install my OS and transferring about 500 GB worth of data, so I'm very pleased he got the work done as quickly as he did. For those who are going for the first time, Steve works out of his house, so you won't see any obvious signage out front, however, his door mat does let you know you're in the right place. I highly recommend this business, and I'll definitely go back with any future issues. read more

Steve has worked on my computers for maybe 5 years now. Found out about him from a friend and I'm so grateful. He is super knowledgeable and is able to transmit the technical information so that even I, totally non-computer savvy, can get the basics of what I need to know. I took my laptop to Hartland to have all the hidden malware and viruses removed and installation of a program for future protection. They did everything in a couple of days (there was a lot of malware and viruses) and didn't cost an arm and a leg. This best thing was after the removal, my laptop had a problem connecting to wifi and Steve spent an ENTIRE day finding and correcting the problem!! I don't think anyone else would have taken the time to fix this correctly. This is the BEST place to go to by far!!! Very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. read more
