This one only has 8 spots to fill up and normally at least one is open. It can be a little awkward to access them depending on which ones are filled, but they do have extra room around them and multiple driveways to enter or exit from. When I have gone inside, the people working have been nice. They still have a good soda fountain too! Inside is stocked with snacks but not as much hot food since this is one of the smaller locations.

On a recent late night we arrived home from a long road trip and a day of familial nuptuals and needed to stop off to buy a loaf of bread. Sure as shootin' they we got the last loaf of butter-top what goodness from the shelf. Granted, it was priced (per ounce) the same as raw tungsten ore, but they had it there. Regarding the car wash--I dunno if they give one to everyone, or what. Clearly they're trying to upsell you on a more expensive one, but when I went there today I got a "you've earned a free car wash you can upgrade" just after swiping my card. Talk about a niche market: People living or working around the Fort Union triangle who are too cheap to get a membership -- or too lazy to drive 5 miles -- to Costco. On this night, we fit that description. They have ... let's just call them the sparsest amenities of any gas station in the area. While the TWO amply lit Maverik "Adventure's First Stop" (less than a mile apart!) were packed, we shared the Shell station with a night clerk and some grizzled dude in an ancient Ford Taurus who parked in front of the door ... and was just there to buy a pack of smokes. There was an old Simon & Garfunkel song, "A Heart in New York", where the song goes "Lookin' down on Central Park, Where they say you should not wander after dark." Well substitute "Central Park" with "the Shell Station on Fort Union Boulevard." Well, I'm exaggerating, but I'd turn the safety off your mace ... just in case ;) Again, we were there for the cheapest gas, and Shell has everybody in a 5-mile radius beat.

Was there anything before Netflix? How did life happen before streaming? I'll tell you what I have streamed, and that's a Slurpee (see what I did there?). Why are they good? And by good I mean awful. And by awful, I mean, are they actually good? There's something perfectly nostalgic about a wild cherry Slurpee, and whenever I get a hankering, I come to 7-11. And that's about once every 5 years. Unfortunately, last time I came here they weren't very prepared and I remembered that they have a 7-11 on 7200 now (maybe it's been there forever, I don't really recall) and it seems to be a bit more Slurpee-ready and customer friendly. This spot seems to be a little less shiny and a little less cared for, but there are far worse in the area, so it's a suitable SEV if you need one.

I had given my kid extra bucks for him to spend but he got shy and just got his stuff and hurried up. This happened today around 7:00ish she has black hair tattoos and a piercing on her lip, really unprofessional.
