May 1, 2026 - two for dinner before a show at Florida Studio Theater…read more My first visit. An easy walk from the FST parking and the FST theater. Drinks very reasonable and decent volume/quantity/pour. A buck for my soda water with lemon..... a bargain for the driver and non-drinker! The boss got 10 wings, 1/2 parm cheese and 1/2 barbecue. The reputation is best wings in Sarasota??? She like flats only and we paid $1 for just flats. This was a very nice option as I the whole food plant based "spartan vegan" will usually cringe at leaving those drums behind or wasted??? I did try one of each though. I believe they are baked and then before serving deep fried to crisp them up and heat them. Sadly the barbecued ones where burnt (see picture) and a little too crisped. The meat and most of the wing and the flavor was pretty good. 5/10 The parm wings where actually the opposite and the meat and wing undercooked, but the deep fry dunking crisped up the skin which would have been really raw and rubbery. These were also seasoned nicely and tasty. 8/10 Both easily fantastic with attention to pre-cooking and cooking? I got the Cup o' Spuds (sweet potato) in a little basket. These were pretty deeply fried and a few blackened/burnt but were nice and hot and flavorful and couple burned gave it some character and was a big deal. The menu is very limited for whole food plant based, vegetarian, vegan, nutritarian mix and match or anything....... so went with one of the three salads. the Side Salad I got an entree size. Romaine, diced tomatoes, cucumbers and black olives and a balsamic. My server missed my point after the second ask about adding "protein". I would have LOVED to have seen some black, pinto, kidney, navy, garbanzo, or any kind of BEANS to add to this salad as a "PROTEIN" or a quinoa, or even scoop of rice or edamame or even a few chunks of toasted or grilled tofu!!!! The salad ingredients were fresh and a nice amount of each. Dressing good but I only used a little since I thought I had asked for Balsamic Vinegar (no oil) and this was a Balsamic "Dressing" with actually quite a bit of oil. Service by "Nightime Bar B" was very attentive and friendly. REALLY good! Fielded our myriad of questions and we were never wanting or waiting. We had a long discussion about the wings which is why my wife wanted to go here. Maybe I should have put this first.......but the pricing was EXTREMELY reasonable especially for Main Street and I guess technically IN Season? The drinks about $12 for a Cosmo, Tito and club $10 ? Tax, tags, tip at 20% plus and we got out under $70 for two!!! VERY nice! Good spot. We will be back!!! As we have just about completed the Mainstreet and City of Sarasota circuit these guys are in the "rotation" for a before cabaret or full production play at the FST.

Great wing options and we tried their cilantro garlic version--delish and different. They had about 10 wing options--wow! Some nice happy hour drink specials--including a great Old Fashioned with Forrester. Calusa IPA beer in big mug. The big hit was their special Irishman burger, really big with a tasty whiskey bacon jam and tons of arugula. A truly special burger. One super nice woman bartender/server made our drinks and brought us the tasty food. We will definitely return.

(Mind you it does say hamburger so that was our fault). My Reuben was delicious. I am a picky Reuben eater, the marble rye was butter/flat top toasted (a nice crunch) with fresh corned beef, Swiss, dressing and I enjoyed the pickle on it. The right amount of everything. Our server was polite, and on top of everything. We suck and didn't catch his name (our fault not his), younger guy with a bald head, Monday lunch closer. Thanks for taking care of us and 3 little kids. The closing host was also awesome noticing that my kids loved the wiki stix and gave us more to take home. Thanks

OUCH The other PAM was modified and I rated this one the same. Another OUCH I wanted so much to love this place but when you're eating your meal and thinking my OJ at home is sooo much better than this one. I wonder how long this bacon has been sitting around because it's dry and tough? THAT's NOT GOOD. Food should taste fresh as though it was just made, FOR ME. This food was not. It lacked flavor was not very warm and again did not express freshness. Bagel was also just okay. No where near a New York Bagel. Overall for a restaurant to be memorable each individual item has to be the best. This results in a total amazing meal. This meal unfortunately was not amazing just Okay. What was good? Glad you asked. Coffee was warm & tasted good. Extra points for providing real cream on the side. Love that! It's a great touch! The cream cheese was excellent. Service was also good. I think this place has great potential but definitely needs a new chef with more upscale, fresh ideas.

The Original Wolfie's Restaurant, Deli & The Rascal House Bar is a New York-style Jewish deli in Sarasota. They're known for classic deli fare like pastrami, Reuben sandwiches, matzo ball soup, potato pancakes, stuffed cabbage, and famous cakes like the Rascal House chocolate cake. The vibrant deli is filled with Broadway & celebrity memorabilia. It is a modern revival of a classic deli with full-service dining, a lively bar, and both indoor & outdoor seating, As a child, a highlight of visiting, my grandparents was getting online at Wolfie's in Miami Beach. The original, iconic Wolfie Cohen's Rascal House and Wolfie's Delicatessen in Miami Beach & Sunny Isles closed in 2008. The original Miami Beach locations were famous landmarks for 50 years before closing. We almost missed the deli. It's sort of around the corner in a little alleyway. We walked in past the bakery, deli meats, salads, and desserts before getting to the maître D. Danielle waited on us, she was informative and on point. We shared a pastrami on Rye and a potato knish. It was a lot of memorabilia inside as well as a full bar. We sat outdoors. It was a beautiful afternoon. Our potato knish was large. It was enough for two of us, a little cold in the middle. Our pastrami sandwich was too big to fit in my mouth, the meat was a little dry and tough. The dessert we ordered 4 Rugelach that tasted more like cake. I'm glad we shared because this would've been much too much to eat on my own. There seem to be confusion between our waitress and the kitchen, either they brought out something that we didn't order or nothing came out and Danielle thought we were serve served. Our shared dinner was reasonable, $40 for the both of us.
