Walking into this place is weird because you feel that you shouldn't touch anything because you don't want to break anything but every ounce of your child within is really doing everything it can to not want to touch and play with everything within sight and within reason. With locomotives here going for over $1000 this is the real deal, not for the faint hearted but for serious lifelong collectors who are establishing their collection for grandchildren. The trains are limited editions sometimes and will only increase in value over time (they tell me), so you better be serious when you buy them and maybe just keep them in the box. Not the kind of stuff you buy for kids that are young. But kids that are old enough to appreciate a good thing and take care of a good thing when they see it.

They have so many crazy things that I would never have even known existed. Their range of model cars, planes, boats, tanks, trains, and insert any other mode of transportation you can think of here is amazing. The store is huuuge and literally packed to the rafters. As well as the model vehicles they have doll house kits, and little doors, furniture, etc. to for people who build dollhouses. Just seeing the little doors and windows in their packages made me smile thinking of Grandfathers making dollhouses for their grand-daughters. But now I'm getting emotional over a hobby shop. Hobbyrama has puzzles, crafts, kites, and countless other things you could do to entertain yourself or hone your fine motor skills. I've never built a model in my life, but this shop is full of so many things that even a hobby n00b like myself would love to try my (very shaky) hand at. I needed to buy glue for small pieces of plywood, and the guy behind the counter helped me out and was very friendly. He didn't even mind that I had my fourteen year old terrier in tow (who was busy examining the extensive range of matchbox cars down at his eye level). Hobbyrama is worth a browse purely out of interest. You'll be surprised by the kinds of cool things people make. You might even end up tackling something yourself although if you're anything like me you'll no doubt end up with pieces of aeroplane glued to your hands, but it's all part of the fun, right?

Having picked a couple of colours in the showroom, I was surprised how different they looked in the actual room and with softer lighting. I'm glad I was able to have an in-home quote as I went with a completely different colour than I had originally chosen. Connor also upgraded us from 7mm underlay to 10mm at no charge, as he said that would give us more longevity and be better in our baby's room. He also gave us a discount coupon for rugs if we wanted to purchase one at a later time. Carpet Call weren't the cheapest quote I was able to get, but their service in giving that quote gave me the confidence to order from them and know I'd be looked after.

Never got a phone call which we were told we would be getting. Never told that the courier would only put the two boxes only at the front door and not bring them in. They are too heavy for us to bring in and are broken and torn and then retaped together. Not once were we told that we would be assembling them and that even if we were not home that the item would be left. Totally understand that it was an online item. We went to the store at Aspley to see what the type of lounge was like and shown lounges similar to the one we were buy. We were happy with this. It is something that we have not done before, buying online. Never told it would be such a horrible experience like this. The guy I spoke to down south said put a tarp on it until I hear back from the company. Does he not know what the Queensland thunderstorms are like. It will take 24 to 48 hours for them to get back to us. In that time we will have a completely washed out lounge. If we were told this would be happening, we would of gone else where to buy our items. We have just moved into our house and have purchases so much furniture. Eureka, Early Settlers and Amart. Never had problems like this. What do we do. Just leave it outside. Just dreadful.

A small scratch or ding leads to savings of over $150 on name brand applicances. Plus, they have a fridge at the front with cold soda and water and an honesty box system. Anyway, so a quick Yelp search just happened to present me with the Outlet store in my local area. We ended up purchasing a Fisher Paykel, stainless steel model at nearly half the price. I am so pleased! While we were there, we had around the show room, they sell all your standard White goods plus stove/oven, all at factory second prices. It would be great if they were bigger and had more stock but I guess time will help that. You can really grab a bargain item there. The salesman don't try to bamboozle you into purchases you don't want or aren't ready for either, which is always greatly appreciated. I'm a big fan, I wish I needed more white goods so I could keep going back!

There's plenty of room to walk around in but I'm still cautious of having my bag with me in case I knock something over and we all know that would be a disaster!
