Waited 15 minutes for a veggie burger that tasted like cardboard and had the wrong toppings on it.

Great food! But the service was quit poor. They weren't the happiest people. But the service was quick. Great for a grab and go meal!!

It was kinda cold-ish on Nov 06, 2021. So I had my hoodie covering my head, which I was informed, that they don't like hoods on customers. Other than that service was good. I ordered the grilled chicken sammich plate, wife ordered teriyaki chicken and veggies and my bro n law ordered the fish n chips plate (cod) w/1 extra fish. The teriyaki chicken and veggies was so-so, the sauce was really salty and didn't really taste like actual teriyaki sauce. No real complains about the fish n chips. The grilled chicken sandwich wasn't really seasoned, which is okay for me..since I have to watch my sodium intake. The meal was enjoyable for the most part. It's not easy to find places that offer a grilled chicken sammich on whole wheat bread. So likely to come back. The portion sizes weren't that great for what we paid...but economy isn't the same as it was pre-pandemic. The parking availability is street parking only..so kinda limited. Service : 4/5 Food : 3/5 Value for money spent : 3/5 Return visit : likely yes.

I've been sooo patient. This is now months after they've opened. Admittedly I'm fussy when it comes…read moreto BBQ Chicken. I used to train Managers & staff at another chain. The thing is. Cooking chicken is not neuroscience. I've tried this restaurant 6 times now because I'm such a BBQ Chicken fan, I was so thrilled that one was coming to Fergus. Not so much, anymore. I tried it again this past week for the last time. I asked the counter person if the chicken was fairly fresh from the oven. He checked with the roast cook, returned and said "No. it was cooked this morning". It was now 2 pm! I suspected that was going on. When you have zero pride in what you do, that's how you act. Cook it all (start early) in the morning for lunch, then you don't have to think about it all day, as it gets dryer and more inedible as the hours go by. Who cares? After all. It's not the cook eating it. It's only customers. Decent BBQ Chicken Restaurants begin putting less chickens on the spit for their final cooking process once the lunch rush has finished. If the spit holds 5 birds, there's no law that I know of that says you must put 5 on it. Put 1 or 2 on there at a time so there's something fresh coming out of the oven regularly. See? Quite simple really. It annoys me, obviously, that they get away with that. Have spoken with managers twice on phone. Disinterested. Figures. So go ahead. Take those big short-cuts and serve dry old birds in the off hours and we won't be back on those days when we do get to come in during your busy times. Shameful! I'd fire all their bums and start fresh, with a new Mgt team who cares, because the atmosphere is now likely too toxic to fix.

They have done a nice job sprucing things up a bit and revamping the kitchen. Hope to see the red carpet in the dining room go at some point. A bit under staffed as they get on their feet a lot of work for one person at front of house to manage, quite a long wait for walk ins due to covid restrictions on the dining room. Definitely call ahead for a reservation. Staff was friendly and polite took our order correctly. Our meals where pretty good! We got two orders of the Fisherman's platter. One with fries and one with a Ceasar salad. Breading on the fish was light the halibut was a nice large piece! Cooked perfectly nice and flakey not greasy at all. The scallops and shrimp where cooked well too. Chips where fresh and light. The Ceasar salad was not worth the 3.50$ dollars for the upgrade. They just tossed two strips of bacon with it. No croutons, red onion or even parmasean. Was also dissapointed that they didn't do a home made tartar sauce and also no lemon provided with the fish. At first I was excited to see the paper in the take out bag! Then realized they wrapped the take out box in paper. Hopefully they will cut back on the waste and just wrap the fish in that beautiful paper moving forward. Would really love to see this place stick to fish and chips and sea food options and perfect their sides. Would love to see more fish and seafood meals and stay away from the burgers etc and really specialize on the seafood. There's plenty of wing and burger family restaurants and I think they could really make a go of it if they keep it simple, fresh and refined! Found it a bit pricey but overall enjoyed out meals great piece of fish! This cost us 70$ with tax.

Instead, I got an existential crisis served with a side of "why did I spend money on this?" The vibe felt like the restaurant itself gave up halfway through its own shift. The food tasted like it lost a fight with the microwave. The service moved at the speed of someone who knew I shouldn't have come here and didn't want to encourage the mistake. My drink tasted like the bartender whispered the idea of flavor into the glass instead of actually mixing anything. The wings had the personality of soggy paper towel. Even the fries looked tired--as if they were begging me to take them home and let them rest. Chucks Orangeville isn't a restaurant. It's a test of patience, willpower, and digestive bravery. If you ever want to know what regret feels like in appetizer form, this is the place. Never again. I'd rather eat air.

Our app's are gone along with most of our beer before anyone comes back to take our order. I'd understand if it was an isolated incident but it seems to be the norm. It's always one girl, running around trying to keep everyone happy and there's just no way for her to keep up. I feel like the owner banks on return customers by way of Orangeville having limited options. If you can afford it, I'd recommend spending the extra money on an establishment that puts more emphasis on staffing and customer satisfaction.
