We've been here a number of times to meet up during the holidays. The food is always solid. It has a pleasant ambiance and is a nice place to eat. I think we've always had good service. Their fish dishes are a good bet and they have a lot to choose from on their menu overall. Good desserts, too. They don't serve brunch/breakfast food, but they have mimosas and bloody Marys. Just know this if you are here early on the weekend and don't want lunch/dinner food. read more

Harvey's is pretty good. It's one of the better and more consistent places in Saginaw. Reasonably priced. I wouldn't say it's spectacular, but it's good and it's a great place for a decent meal out. It's got a nice patio for the summertime. It's better than a Cheyn restaurant. Give it a try. read more

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and it was a pretty full restaurant; however, we were still seated quickly. We started out with the calamari strips, buffalo wings and Caesar salad. All were very tasty with the buffalo wings leading the pack. I also highly recommend the calamari strips though I didn't care for the sauce it came with. I think the ranch from the wings paired better with the calamari strip. For my entree, I had the Nashville fried chicken and it was a bit spicy but very delicious. Absolutely no complaints. One of the better choices in a part of Saginaw that is mostly fast food and chain restaurants. Ossobuco is a favorite, and very reasonably priced. Service is good and don't miss the lemon cake for dessert. read more

It's nice to have a more upscale option in Saginaw. Not super fancy, but great service with a full bar with loads of specialty cocktails. I came in and got a martini flight during happy hours. Pricing for happy hour drinks and appetizers Appetizers are very reasonably priced. We had some great spinach and artichoke dip. we both ordered salads which were enormous. My grilled salmon was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress was attentive, and very personable. Food came out relatively fast. She regularly checked in even the manager stopped by. When I travel for work, it's nice to find a good happy hour spot for after work drinks and a bite. When I lived here, this was a good place to go for food and drinks. I came into town and met a friend here. It took 30 minutes for our drinks to get delivered and an hour for mozzarella sticks. We were there two hours and had one drink and an appetizer. Very disappointing. We left and ate dinner somewhere else. read more

We have come here several times since Harvey's opened its doors and the quality of food and service has always been good. We stopped in during the week for a late lunch and it we couldn't have timed it better as they were not very busy. The host that seated us was welcoming when we arrived and seated the two of us right away. We sat at the table for 15 minutes waiting for a server. I did try to get the attention of one that was in the area, but she just kept looking away. I did go up to the host and he apologized profusely and said someone would be right over. The server showed up and we let her know we were ready to order our drinks and food. When the food arrived it was room temperature but I didn't wanna say anything since we had already been there for 35 minutes. The medium rare burger was dry and not medium rare. We asked the waitress for ketchup twice, and she finally brought it when he finished eating. Not sure if we will return since the service was lacking and the food was just "eh". read more

While we were out cruising around heading north, we looked up ratings for bar burgers near us and found this highly rated place. Being that it looks pretty classy I assumed it would be pricey as well. Fortunately, the prices are decent as compared to many other restaurant burgers. We split the bacon cheeseburger, fries and added a side of Mac n cheese. (I'm a Mac n cheese lover so I couldn't pass it up). The burger was big with two patties of beef and perfect amount to share. The fries were perfectly cooked. The Mac n cheese was creamy and ok but nothing to write home about. Our service wasn't the greatest as I waited with ice cubes and no water for longer then I'd like but overall I'd still go back and I still recommend trying them out. read more

The.Nashville chicken sandwich was tasty, crispy and just the right amount of seasoning/coating. The fries were hot and delish. We Also shared the turkey panini. We highly recommend the place. This is a nice place to stop when visiting Sagnasty. Service was good. Food was good. I had the tacos pictured, cool, but there's shredded cheese on them. My wife and I summer in Michigan and our neighbors said we needed to eat at Harvey's if we ever visited Saginaw. Yesterday we made a trek down and had lunch at the bar. We were surrounded by friendly locals and made friends. Unfortunately the bar tender/server took forever to take our order. Even the local couple next to us tried to flag him down. When we gave him our order it then took close the 40 minutes to arrive. Locals that came in way after us got their food within minutes when we got ours. Adding to our disappointment was when the bartender said Happy St Pattys day toast and gave everyone around the bar a free shot except us. We travel a lot and consider ourselves pleasant guests, chatting with anyone near by. We did not once send impatient and unhappy signals. If you move to Saginaw, go there often for the food and Cheers like vibe. If you are a traveller, best to avoid as you'll feel unwelcome. read more

A few co-workers and I came here for drinks & dinner on a Monday night while staying the area for a work trip, and we will definitely be back for dinner when we want a relaxed, sit-down meal. So many options nearby are fast food or chains, so Harvey's is unique in that it's locally owned and well-maintained. We chose to sit outside and our host opened an umbrella to block the sun as we settled into our table & menus. A bartender/waitress was quickly over to take our drink orders, but let us know that she couldn't make quite a few things on the menu because they were out of ingredients. We then ordered our meals, but were distracted by multiple different waiters walking by asking where food was supposed to served. In this case, this was somebody else's food, but I hate seeing my food being toted around restaurants on a platter, getting cold and offered to different tables. This happened a few times outside and it was noticeable enough that I was nervous our food might end up in the wrong place. Thankfully, it didn't... as almost 45 minutes later we received our food. I enjoyed my turkey apple Brie burger with red onion jam -- simple, hit the spot. Just a tad dry, I would have loved a little more of the onion jam or something to counter the innate dryness of the bun/turkey blend. Fries are fries, but also hit the spot. You ever wonder why your food is taking sooooooooooo long? Well, we all love to blame the kitchen staff or the server, but we should be blaming management... I had the pleasure of working for this company for a short while and to say the least, your servers CAN NOT make up for what's happening behind the scenes. The leaders are not leading, so the kitchen can not produce and the servers can not serve. If the restaurant is busy, you should just leave. Because the mess is FAR beyond your sight and it's not worth the wait. However, If you do have the patience to wait, please tip your server because it is OUT OF THEIR CONTROL. Please ask for a manager because they should be the ones held accountable! I posted this in the Harveys group chat in order to bring awareness to other staff members and it was immediately deleted and I was immediately blocked. MY TABLES WAITED AN HOUR FOR APPETIZERS TODAY and my manager told me to "be more careful"... Your server is waiting on the kitchen and it's "managers" to sort out their mess so please be graceful!
