TLDR: Just eat ANYWHERE else. So saw the "flatbread" and it sounded like it would be the interesting. The description: "Spring Veg Flatbread (V) (N) Our fire grilled flatbread smeared with roasted red pepper hummus, topped with peas, chopped asparagus and green beans, a hint of Italian seasoning and drizzled with hot honey." We opened the box and what the holy fuck is that?! Looks like a hippie with diarrhea wiped their ass with a pita. IT'S NOT EVEN A FLATBREAD!! It's literally a PITA!! Probably store bought as well. This "food" in all its glory shows how lazy the "chef" and I use that term very loosely, was in creating this disaster. To call this "food" is a travesty. I'd say it could be edible and would at least make a turd but someone beat us to it. read more

My wife and I stopped here tonight for dinner and both of us really enjoyed what we had. I had a pizza and she tried the salmon entree. Food quality was excellent and the only issue that I had was that my pizza was delivered not as I had ordered. The staff corrected the issue immediately and were very apologetic and did everything professionally to make it right. We were happy. The amount of toppings on the pizza could have been a bit more generous but the taste of the crust, sauce and toppings were very good. Rachel provided us with excellent and courteous service. Cudos to her and the staff for taking great care of us tonight.. We will return another time when we are in the area and want something good to eat. read more

We were seated immediately. Once seated the waitress forgot about us cuz she's not used to working the floor so we waited approximately 10 to 15 minutes before even getting our order taken just as I was going up to say something she came over. Two of us ordered nachos we both ordered beef on the nachos there was hardly any beef on them You couldn't even see the beef. They don't put lettuce on their nachos you have to ask for it. They also don't offer you hot sauce You also have to ask for that. It was not busy there was eight other people in the restaurant. I was embarrassed to bring my guest there because it was just terrible. I used to eat there all the time and get the nachos cuz they were excellent I ate less than a third of it and threw it out. I'll never order there again and I will never refer their restaurant out again I'm too embarrassed. read more

We were greeted in a friendly way and seated in the area we asked for. It was busy but we were helped by a friendly waitress named Melody. She sat right next to us in the booth, which I liked. She was honest, informative, and kind. She seemed to care about what we were saying. We ordered the best spinach artichoke dip I've ever had! The pitas that came with it were a bit crunchy and warm. Yum! My son said it was the best thing he's ever tasted. He ordered a holy cheeseburger and I got a flatbread. The place was perfect for all ages. The restrooms were clean and easily located. If we are ever in Saginaw again we will go there. read more

Honestly I want to start by saying I've came here over many years, took people here and had some small events here and unfortunately after tonight that's absolutely over.. Me and my girlfriend both went in there and were sat down to a mostly empty floor. We had just sat down and our server (Megan) came up to us and greeted us but she was only paying attention to my girlfriend. She took her drink order with enthusiasm and turned to me as IF I SHOT HER DOG and took mine whilst barely even wanting to look at me. The appetizer order went arguably worse, Megan had came up to the table, asked if we were ready to order (only looking at my girlfriend) and when I told her our order she turned to with a look of what I could only call disgust, turned back to my girlfriend and put in the order. After that I asked my girlfriend to do the rest of the talking as I didn't want to deal with the treatment anymore and she was happy to take the one sided treatment. She had Megan put in our food order, when it came I said that it wasn't we ordered (because my girlfriend is uncomfortable doing things like that) and Megan turned to me with disgust again and just told me flat "I didn't get your order wrong" and turned tail and walked away. We couldn't get the bill fast enough and leave.. I called the restaurant to speak with a manager as soon as I got home (I don't want to cause a scene in public as it ruins other peoples dining atmospheres) First call was a no answer, second call I got someone but as soon as I asked for a manager I got hung up on, this happened TWO MORE TIMES until I realized it wasn't worth it. And just wasn't coming back.. Super not pleased with the evolution of Timbers , prices went up, portions down, food served wrong and rude service.. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend going to this bar. We stopped in while visiting the city and were having a great time until the bartender, Tommy, started on a solid 5 minute string of some of the most vile, racist jokes I've ever heard. I was genuinely shocked because it was entirely out of nowhere. When I finally snapped back to the situation and said that I was leaving he was seemed almost gleeful to ask if it was because of his jokes which I told him it absolutely was and it was disgusting. That was bad enough but what made it so much worse was a couple days later, we were at a different bar when Tommy came in alongside the owner of that bar, Ozgur Acar, someone we had been told by others would be equally disgusted by the display. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When my partner went to speak with him, originally just to ask if he would be in the bar the next morning so we could explain things in a quieter, more sober (for everyone involved) environment, he shrugged it off, basically saying that's just how Tommy is and that he wasn't defending him but that it was ok 'because he has a black friend.' I was inside at the time but at some point during this, Tommy also went outside and sounded like he said the N word right at my partner, in front of the owner so there's no way he could deny the disgusting racist display. I realize that in small town Wisconsin, there's only so much you can do to avoid these things but if I can stop even one person from giving money to a place that allows these kinds of things to happen, or stop someone else from having to witness such a disgusting, hateful display, then it'll be worth having typed this up. read more

Wasn't sure what I was going to expect when going here but glad that I did. I was a little worried because the ambiance seemed a little dated but it was fine. Ordered the brisket burnt ends and it was phenomenal. Definitely surprised me. My only complaint is that there wasn't much of it otherwise 10/10. They had a great selection of food on the menu and I decided to order the pizza. Pizza was delicious, 8 out of 10 which is high for not being a dedicated pizza spot. The service was phenomenal. My husband and I have been enjoying Timbers for years now and have never had a negative experience. It seems that they are always looking to offer new and tasty food items. I just had their spring special menu item; Lemon Grilled Chicken pasta. YUM!!! Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and engaging. Great ambience, too. Great for a date, friends night and larger groups. They also have space to host a larger party with privacy. We had our rehearsal dinner there years ago and it was a great experience. Got there famous nachos 17.99 there big But there was a up charge of 5 for chicken and 4 dollars for queso cheese No problem if there good . They were really just a bunch of pickled jalapeños and there was a lot of chips A very small amount of melted shredded cheese some chopped onion and a bunch of pickled jalapeños. Really I should have just bought a bag of tortilla chips because that's all it was there was 5 tiny chunks of chicken and I mean tiny . Service was very good nice waitress. Met her with my family of 10, some of us from Northern Michigan, some from south Michigan. They got us in right away. Shawn was our waiter, he was attentive and wonderful, the food was amazing to say the least. My brother,Brother in law and I got the Nor Easter. All of us enjoyed it. The potato soup was flavorful, the French onion soup was in my top 2 when it comes to French onion soup. Spinach dip and chips were great along with the pretzels. We all said that this is our place to meet in the middle here on out. The inside is charming, warm and comfy. George is one of the owners, so nice and welcoming. I wish we took pictures of the food but as soon as we took the first bite, eating was the only thing we thought about lol. read more

However, the real hang up I have is with the value. Had the old faithful with crispy chicken for the $5 up charge. Timber Pub and Grub Tonight topped the cake of poor service. A. This is my 5th time going to this bar. 3/5 of the times I've gone I've sent drinks back due to over pouring and not mixing drinks properly. Everyone of these times was the female bartender. It was just last weekend I sent two drinks (my friend and my drink) back and had heard her mocking us about what we could handle. (Tonight I only had one glass of wine due to past drinks) B. Tonight my adopted son turned his drink back due to over pour & poorly mixed ingredients in an old fashioned. No joke, this 'bartender' asked my autistic son, who only goes to socialize and doesn't drink, to look up how to make the drink. When my adopted son went to turn the drink back in, she refused to take it back for something else, and only offered the other ingredients to dilute it down. I have seen two lawsuits due to bartenders over pouring. Not only can it be a deadly mistake, but an extremely costly one too. C. When it came to charging for the poorly made drink, he got charged $15 for a martini. D. When my brother went to question the bartender about the charge in an attempt to help his adopted nephew, I watched as the bartender started vehemently argue that she charged and made it appropriately. Then she went to call the owner to say that he was talking to her badly and to request him to be 86ed. In my opinion if you are so sensitive that you can't handle someone challenging you, then you shouldn't be in the service business. E. While arguing with my brother the female then brought it personal by saying "this is the reason why your siblings deny you as a brother". I must say, I'm a little protective over my younger brother and I had something to say about that comment at the end of the night. Nobody has the right to say anything about his relationship with his siblings, except for his siblings. F. During the poker games I've attended, I thought it kind of odd that my sister, who runs the poker tables, have been taking orders & serving food and drinks. We looked up the liquor serving laws. This is not legal. With as much animosity as I've seen on the poker nights I have attended, it seems the main bartender doesn't like the customers. I have been a local for 30 years. It's too crying shame, as it seems that this will be yet another local establishment that won't last too much longer if they don't figure out how to work with their customers and improve their customer experience. I know I won't return unless I hear of some major changes that have taken place. Neither will my party of 6. (Multiply that in food & drinks, that's a chunk of change) read more

Yummy fresh and homemade food, reasonable prices, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. Think of this as an upscale take on a sports bar. Great for a date or family-- our go to place in town. Baked cheesy potato soup in a bread bowl, stir fry, Cherry chicken salad and their delicious cocktails are my favorites. The prices are higher than average especially for the amount of food that you get. The service was good nothing that stands out. The place was 2/3 full for a Friday at 6:30 ish. I remember coming here about ten years ago, and the food was good. My recent visit, not so good. I ordered the fried cod with sweet potato fries. The cod had a fishy taste to it, which was odd, as cod is not usually a "fishy" fish. The sweet potato fries were very thin and hard. Not very appetizing at all. Not to mention that I did not receive my salad until after the entree came out. The waitress did apologize that she forgot to get it, as they were slow. ‍ I don't think I will be back. read more

The staff are friendly and the space is decent with a sizable beer menu, so on the bar front, I think it's a good spot to go. For the grill end of things, I would be much less likely to recommend. We've been a few times as it it right around the corner from us and stays open later than many other places on week nights, but every other time I go I come home with a serious stomach ache. With a rustic vibe and a larger than average menu, this place is a Saginaw mainstay. This place can accommodate most groups as they have a private room and a patio. The last time I ordered nachos, I had to take them home in a pizza box, and that speaks to most of the sharing portions on the menu. On more than one occasion, they have hit the end of the keg while pouring my beer so I got a (nearly full) beer for free. Shucks. Timbers does have a great atmosphere & service. Manager is clearly seen in all areas of the restaurant which is great to see in itself for once. However food wasn't up to par for the price of the meal. Fell short in the quality of the food for me. Would like to see more options w/o them having heavy spices on most foods. They have many options to choose from just not enough for me to be able to eat w/o suffering through the spices on them. Otherwise my hobbies steak & potato dinner was just good not great. read more

We were up here in Saginaw working and stopped at a few places around here and this place is by far the best. The cheese sticks and pretzel sticks are the only appetizers we tried but both spot on and they have a burger that's half beef and half bacon that melts in your mouth and the chicken Parmesan is perfect. Our waitress the first time we visited this place remembered everything about us and how we liked our drinks and she's groovy :) She was really cool and made the dining here a great experience. The interior is rustic (fitting the name) and it can get a little loud with the TVs and the amount of customers that can be accomodated. But I love coming here for three reasons: 1. The waitstaff is efficient and polite. 2. The taplist is good and the pours are generous. 3. PIZZA. When you look around this place you wouldn't think you could get a decent American-style pizza, but it's true! Most restaurants will give you pre-selected options as if saying, "ohh, come see what we think you want! we know you better than you know yourself," with a build-your-own option as an afterthought. Timbers cuts through the BS and just lets me make exactly what I want. And provides a tankard of beer for a reasonable price! This is all I want. read more

What a fantastic experience. We went in at 8:30 on a Wednesday night with 8 of us. I am generally cautious eating out at that late time, as most establishments and workers tend to be distracted at that hour. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. Service: Katie K was our server and couldn't have been better. She talked to everyone at the table, offered suggestions, followed up to see if we were happy and waited on us as if we were regulars. A personal touch I have not had from a waitress in years. Food: All of the food was amazing. It was hot and fresh. Kids had grill cheeses, I had the BBQ Flatbread, someone had the Cueso Dip and some ate pizza. Add this to your list of places to go. You won't regret it. read more
