Sad to have to review this, but the day has come. This place used to be good and have good, fresh food before Covid but has since become a has been. The beer list is good and is the sole reason to visit anymore. Paid $17.50 for a burger and fries the other day and the burger was so overdone it was inedible. Probably a frozen patty just throw onto the grill and dried out. There are so many better places to go nearby to get a nice homemade and fresh burger for that price. The service has always been good and still is. The ambiance is nothing special - it was just nice that it was local and used to be a hit. Hate to say it, but I won't be going back. read more

High expectations for the perch dinner. Three of us ordered it. It was over fried to the point you couldn't find the fish--just breading. Was like eating deep fried smelt. Nice spot for dinner and drinks with a casual environment. I tried the Perch BLT. It was a nice twist on a BLT. Sandwiches came with homemade chips which were really good, nicely seasoned and crispy. They had a decent beer selection. Service was good and it didn't take too long to get our food. Thought it was a little pricey for sandwiches/bar food, it cost us around $35 plus a tip for 2 sandwiches and 2 beers. read more

This place was warm and comforting. We went in around 2:00 for lunch. Boyfriend DEVOURED the cheeseburger and we shared the fries, which were seasoned WONDERFULLY!! Honey mustard sauce was soooo good!!! I had the Chef's salad and it was AMAZING!! Everything was very fresh and the ranch dressing was GREAT!! Our server was Rawley, and he was VERY attentive, but not over-bearing. He was such a nice young man!! I was so impressed with the older gentleman who owns the place, but actually takes the time to talks to customers AND buses tables!! Great place!! read more

This is a great spot for a drinks and dinner. Just across the street from SVSU, this place has plenty of seating and a chill vibe. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. They hosted a new years deal and offered champagne service. They also do live music from time to time. Great spot to check out if you want to sit down and eat a full meal instead of sub. read more

A few days ago I came into the Pierce Road bar. I didn't have a whole lot of time for lunch so I just ordered something simple bacon cheeseburger with fries. I was one of the only few people that were in there at that time. So I thought my food will probably come out pretty fast. But unfortunately it took over 20 minutes to get my food and I didn't have enough time to eat it there. So I took it to go box I really wish I could've eaten that while it was hot but unfortunately when I get a chance to eat it it was all cold and not the great. Would of been much better hot. The bartender was nice and friendly staying busy cleaning and preparing the bar for the night shift. read more

Nice place. Our server was friendly and accommodating. Beer was cold and tasted fresh. It was a busy night so service was a little slow, but luckily we weren't in a hurry. My wife and I had ribs, my second meat was chicken and her's was brisket. Our ribs were extremely dry. Comparing them to jerky would not be unfair. My chicken was the leg quarter, but from a very small chicken. The taste was good and my sides of fries and coleslaw were actually of better quality than my two meat items. Our next visit will not include the over priced and underwhelming BBQ. I would classify it as more of a burger and bar joint. read more

Stopped in for lunch with a friend, atmosphere was great. Food was very good, a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Justin (manager or assistant manager) was very friendly, even sat down and chatted with us for a bit. Outdoor seating so smoking was not a problem. The only improvement I could suggest would be to make accessing the menu online a little easier. We had appetizers, pickle fries (would be better if they used spears), crab Rangoon, and shrimp with a delicious Asian dipping sauce. Today, I treated my daughter in law and her grandma to lunch at Pierce Road Bar and Grill......I left embarrassed by the lack of service and not being able to receive an accurate order. The waiter took a while to arrive to get our order, and announced that he was new. Two of us ordered the breakfast special, I got the omelet and grandma got eggs, bacon, toast and hashbrowns with coffee. My DIL ordered a wrap and some diet pop. The coffee and pop were served immediately, but my DIL sent back her diet pop because it didn't taste right. The waiter said the machine broke and he would get her a water while the machine was being fixed. Within 20 min. of taking our orders, the waiter brought my DIL's wrap and fries and water, along with grandmas coffee. 20 min. after no one stopped to check on us, or bring out the other two orders, I nicely mentioned to the other waitress that we still had not received any breakfast food. She apologized and said she would tell our waiter. After another 5 minutes of NO SERVICE, I asked the waitress to speak to the manager at what time she told me there was no manager on duty and the cook was having problems. Finally after another 5 minutes Grandmas scrabbled eggs and hashbrowns arrived minus the bacon and toast that was to come with the breakfast special. Five minutes later, my omelet arrived with hash browns, but no toast. We all commented that we've never seen an omelet made that way with the cheese on top, and the greasy eggs and ham under the cheese. We were happy our food arrived but we had no silverware to use to eat it. I found it in the restaurant by the front door and helped myself. We spoke again to the waiter about the service and he said since the manager was not in, he would discount our bill. He discounted the total bill 50% and by then we just wanted out of there. We never received bacon that was ordered or diet pepsi. I have been to this restaurant this spring and didn't experience the chaos we had today. I'm hoping to hear back from a manager, as I don't completely fault the waiter (although he never once asked how we were doing) or the waitress who became teary eyed when I mentioned we never got 2/3 of our order. Nice place, son and i ordered wings (traditional) they were not breaded and bbq was very saucy, mild were a little light on the sauce and not as hot as some mild sauces. Wife had the smoked prime rib and she really like that, people around us mostly had bbq, waitress said they were mostly known for their bbq and it did look good. Plenty of craft beer on tap as well as the traditional favorites. All in all was a good dinner, wold go back again. read more
