A stop for some brew at the 'BC Liquor Store' first, then a few steps further to 'Buy-Low' to check out the colourful, outdoor displays.that had caught our eyes when we first came into the plaza The outdoor set ups on the store's patio area -- colourful, plant baskets, and early-fall produce -- had definitely called us for a closer look. Upon a closer look, we found selections of late-summer/early-fall fruits & produce - including pumpkins, pumpkin gourds, and some very 'cool-looking' dried, ornamental corn cobs. There was no way I could pass catching some of the latter, and picked out four, colourful cobs to purchase and bring home for the makings of an Autumn and Thanksgiving table set up. Our rather short, and inexpensive stop, was fun & friendly, and produced some "fun colour" to bring home for Thanksgiving!

At 8am today hardly any shopping baskets when you come out n main entrance and ones that were there had garbage in most of them. Again lazy staff. Vegetables like celery and broccoli rubbery to the touch always. Mushrooms are always spotted and brown In the bakery this morning I found a chocolate cake that was 3 days past best before date. Not the first time I have seen this all over the store. When I pointed it out to staff they seemed like they didn't care. Poor management and poor work ethics would be my guess to these problems. I've been shopping here for 4 years now and have seen these problems start a few years ago. Probably going to start shopping elsewhere.

The store has changed since I last stopped in a couple of years ago. They still had the ice cream, and they had just brought out a fresh pizza too so we had to get a slice of that as well, which was really good after a day of hiking outside when the temperature never hit 60 degrees. The soft ice cream was just as remembered, excellent! So from reading the other reviews it looks like the store has new owners, so please don't change things too much, I've always liked this little store the way it is, although the pizza was a nice addition.
