The remaining mains were the Yellowfin Sashimi. While they were happy with the Sashimi, the portion was more like a starter. So these two dishes together are good for two people to share. We paired dinner with some Asahi & Sapporo. We noticed some other tables with the 16 and 30 Shushi entree and they looked like they were enjoying their meals. We came for dinner on a Monday and concluded this might be a better place for drinks at the end of a week? The bar looked like the better place to hang with it sunk down seating and leafy drinks, than the glass 90s cafe-style tables. Two areas in the restaurant had kneeling style seating and yes- there is a samurai statue. The interior here is impossible to photograph with a cellphone - red carpet and mirrors top to bottom! Everywhere - Even the bathroom :) now this might sound like a bad idea but it does manage to make the space unique. So to the food. The prix fixe menus are steep: 500-1200 per head. Wine is at 350-500. And unfortunately, although filling, not very exciting. Somehow the food reminded me more of Chinese than Japanese? More fat that crisp flavor and texture: Edamame in butter, tempura shrimp drenched in mayo and so on. The salmon sushi got the highest and only praise of the total 12 dishes we tried. Oh, a last note- don't miss out on the all mirror bathroom and bathtub sized waterfall basin - you will leave wishing you had a better camera and flash on you phone!

They have a vegetarian and meat version of it and both variations are delicious. The broth is rich and packs a punch and noodles cooked al dante ensuring they retain their texture instead of turning soggy. Soft boiled egg was just as we expected it to be. We got a refreshing beer to accompany our ramen. Note that the spicy ramen is indeed SPICY, I went with a level 3 and had to take a couple breaks to make it through the bowl. The place itself has a fun interior. Service was friendly. I am so glad we decided to bike all the way to the Norrebro district for a meal here, it took us about 20 mins from our hotel and eating a slurpy soupy bowl of noodles post that on a chilly night was such an experience.

But this August and today especially will not be tolerated: 9 days ago, much to our surprise, the free water that has ALWAYS been out at Ramen to Biiru was removed to impose plastic bottled own-brand water (how effin stupid, stop commodifying natural resources). Hot tip: in Denmark, restaurants are not allowed to deny you tap water. Ask for a glass of tap water and you don't have to buy into this stupid capitalistic hellscape. Today, we place our order and hand the waitress our neighbour discount card and stamp card - only for her to point at a freshly printed and framed A4 sign to her left declaring that pr August 1st, these cards are no longer accepted. Of course, this comes as another great surprise seeing as we were there just over a week ago - still very much August - and our cards were accepted just fine. Today as well, we had a free ramen to enjoy - well, no we didn't. When the first of our ramens came, they were cold and the waiter had his whole thumb in my ramen as he served it. Disgusting. The last two ramens (we were 5 together) came over 20 minutes after the other three, and by then the rest of us were obviously done eating. Such poor priorities. The staff is doing what they can, but unfortunately the Mikkeller owners are wet for profit and profit only. In the last year, the management has made extremely poor choices - surely benefiting their pockets in the short run, but guaranteed to hush all their regular and loyal customers far away. Luckily, there are many new ramen places in town and none of them include Mikkeller. Choose a different restaurant.
