We drove past Hassel Florist and decided to stop by, check the shop and feel the vibe. Guess what? The shop is beautiful! We loved it! We even loved the energy and vibe we got from every employee! We described the event, showed them our colors and described what we wanted. I have to say the shop is very clean, organized and all flowers looked fresh! They had a variety of flowers and greenery to choose from! They were very creative, organized and unique. We chose Loose Fresh Flowers, lots of green and white roses! We recommend them for any event! Rude and bizarre experience. After meeting with Sheryl, I was given an estimate much higher than the quote (also including items that she misunderstood). I asked for an appointment to meet with Sheryl in person again to discuss how to reduce the cost, and make sure I'm still getting what I wanted. I received this response: "Since you still see discrepancies, I think it's best that you move forward in finding another florist to create the vision you would like for your special day. Sheryl" and "I don't think we're going to be a good fit for your wedding needs. Sheryl"...so basically she sent me an estimate much higher than we discussed, then became offended that I politely asked to meet to discuss it, and blew me off to go find someone else. She seems bipolar or something. Unfortunately this is a small, family business and she's a co-owner with her brother, so there is no one to hold her accountable to being professional. I just wanted to leave an honest review before people decide to spend time trying to work with this business. Called back on 6-1 talked w Autumn, asked for pic again she answered " we don't send pics " but just this once she would email it. I thanked her. One minute later my phone rang and Mr Hassell - the owner said he was canceling my order , " HE DIDN'T WANT MY BUSINESS & HE DIDN'T NEED MY BUSINESS and wished he didn't have any of the Funeral business " I was in tears. This is a great florist. Hassell has been in this same location as long as I can remember. I love the convenience of this place. They keep all my important info on file, so it makes ordering very easy. The deliveries always happen early in the day, and the flowers look great. I used them again this year for Valentines Day and was very pleased. Heck -- they even called me to remind me to place my yearly order! Yes they are able to arrange flowers. Unfortunately, the arrangements they created for the wedding was lackluster. Never mind the fact it was the WRONG COLORS!!! I am not going to rate it low because I have used this place before and the flowers were beautiful. The man who was working this last weekend though was an incredibly rude person. I asked if they could make something for me tomorrow (which would have been Sunday) and he said no we are closed...so I was like okay how about Monday? He was like well we have a wedding Monday so what do you want exactly? I said well I could do Tuesday because it needs to be delivered. He instantly said THAT IS GOING TO BE EXPENSIVE...NOT JUST SOME $9 fee. I told him it was fine never mind and just left. I was with my friend that day, and honestly we were both really shocked by the whole thing. I was prepared to spend over $250 for two arrangements and whatever it would cost me to deliver. I was dressed in sweat pants and a hoodie, and I look really young, but I am a professional woman. I drive a 435 BMW, and I own my own business. He didn't see me park, and he knew nothing about me, but I am pretty sure he judged me instantly by the way he looked at me and spoke to me. He was not the tall man that usually works there. He was shorter, and there was a woman working with him. I am probably not the first customer he has lost for you, and if he is the owner...he needs to get over his entitled attitude. I wanted to send my mother flowers to her hotel so I called the hotel and was recommended this florist. When I called I gave them just a few request: Gerber daisies, colors like pinks and yellows, and a certain price point a delivery date. The lady on the phone was extremely nice and helpful. Although there were a few hiccups in my order, things like the yellow daisies weren't ready in time, the note had some misspellings, etc, the arrangement was absolutely STUNNING. I have ordered flowers several times, spent hundreds of dollars on flowers and been dissatisfied every time. Not this time. If I could do 10 stars I would. Our son was having a small family beach wedding. We were looking for a non-traditional bouquet and boutonniere, something appropriate for a beach wedding.
