Instead, I ended up ordering online and had the present mailed directly to my friend. At checkout, there was a box where I was able to enter a message, and all I wrote there was "Happy Birthday!". I expected that message to appear somewhere on the shipping label (as I've seen other places do), but no. What arrived inside the shipping box was another beautifully wrapped box with a bow and a hand-addressed little Frank Lloyd Wright note card. Totally unexpected, and terrific!

They have good quality products mostly from Nepal, the products are mostly hand made and 100% fair trade!! They sell women clothing and accessories, including jewelry mostly from Nepal. They also carry beautiful, unique and well crafted goods that are fair trade. The stories of fair trade artisans are clearly displayed. The store is laid out beautifully with lots of natural light and is situated in the middle of a couple of Madison's finest authentic restaurants in downtown. The prices are not that cheap but you don't feel like you're compromising any quality for these unique, international fair trade items.

Garrett was incredibly helpful and gave me all sorts of great advice and ideas for my design. He is honest and incredibly knowledgeable in the world of jewelry design and gemology. I even got a quote from him out of curiosity and it was very competitive, even including shipping to CA! Sadly, I ended up going with a jeweler that was local to me in CA just for the sake of convenience, but if I lived anywhere near Madison, I would 1000% go with Chalmers.
