We interviewed two doulas and I was honestly very torn because I really liked them both for different reasons. Heidi had such a calming presence even through zoom and I knew deep down that would be exactly what I needed. Little did I know at the time my seemingly low risk pregnancy would take some interesting turns. I don't know what I would have done without her constant reassurance. I ended up in the midst of a multiple day induction that picked up incredibly quickly when they broke my water. We had been in communication with Heidi throughout the weeks leading up to my induction and she got to the hospital very quickly when we let her know they had broken my water. Just as i suspected she was the calm in the storm, not just for myself but my husband as well. She took some photos for us of those initial moments together and made sure I got my lusted for post delivery meal before leaving us to get some rest. She stayed in close contact over the next few days while we dealt with a 72 hour hospital stay, a readmittance scare, and struggles with feedings. We had a lovely postpartum visit at our home when things calmed down and it warmed my heart so much to see her hold our son. She advocated for me during labor when I wasn't in the mindset to do so myself and made me feel so supported and safe. I've recommended Heidi and wildwood to everyone I know who has gotten pregnant since my delivery. They are truly such an amazing and supportive group.

Kim was our birth doula she supported me in pregnancy, labor, and birth. The birth experience is a very personal thing and we felt incredibly comfortable with her throughout the entire process. I only ever felt supported by Kim and that she had my best interest at heart. My husband had concerns that having a doula would be distracting for him, however looking back he said that that couldn't have been less true he was thankful for Kim and the support he provided for him too. Zoe was our day time postpartum and we were so thankful to have her there in those essential first weeks. Zoe not only took excellent care of our baby, but she checked in on our physical and mental health. She really was making sure everyone was doing well. I felt comfortable asking her all sorts of questions and she showed us how to give our baby their first bath! Kelsey was our night time postpartum doula, it's a strange feeling leaving your baby with someone overnight and you going to sleep, but from the moment I met Kelsey I knew she would look out for my baby and do what's best for him. As a mom who had a journey with breastfeeding, pumping, formula Kelsey was always coming up with a plan for how I could do what I needed to and get the most sleep. My husband and I would always say "Kelsey night!" the day she was coming because we got to sleep and we knew our baby would be taken care of - which is a rare combo in the days of a newborn. As a whole Wildwood Birth Collective was a dream to work with. The birthing course was thorough and informative and communication for all the staff was excellent. I feel that when we joined Wildwood we got not only really great doula support but gained an awesome community. Thank you Wildwood, Kim, Zoe, and Kelsey!

I listened to the audio and practiced some of the techniques daily until the birth and absolutely the class and practice helped me be in a confident, calm zone for the majority of my hospital birth. She gives the right amount of pressure, is professional and not too chatty (I like to meditate when I get a massage) and her prenatal massages are wonderful. Plus she accepts insurance at Bloom! Initially, I was going to her to reduce what I thought were tension headaches in the first trimester. I noticed the first two times when I put my head face down on the table the headache would increase. She figured out it was sinus related and recommended sinus flushing. Once I started flushing the sinuses with saline solution, relief took over. In addition, I completed Lori's "Hypnobirthing" class this past November. Our second child is due mid January. I cannot express how grateful I am that she offers this course. There are things I learned that I wish I knew four years ago when I had my first water birth. I feel well-prepared, calm, yet excited, to meet our new "hypno-water birth" baby! UPDATe: Her hypnobirthing class is exceptional. I gave birth to a healthy baby girl who weighed in just under 9 pounds. I was able to labor at home and then drive with my husband to the Alma Waterbirth Center. Birthed my baby in water within 45 minutes of arrival. Little to no pain except during crowning.

I highly recommended to any mama and partner to take these classes, they are well worth it! Also, her tea blend for the raspberry leaf tea is so yummy! Especially if you aren't an avid tea drinker. The classes are built in a great order- As someone who plans to birth at a birth center my anxieties were lowered ALOT after these classes. And if you are planning a hospital birth or home birth, the classes work for all of them! You and your partner will appreciate these classes a lot!

But I'd had a very traumatic birth with my first child, so I figured we could use all the extra support we could get. In the end, my husband and I were both so grateful that Callai was there. It was comforting just to know that we could talk to her about any decisions that came up, with her wealth of expertise on everything labor and delivery. Callai met us at the hospital and helped through the early contractions, and even after I got the epidural it was still so helpful to have her there. It was the middle of the night so my husband was able to get some rest, while she checked in on me and helped me change positions. The delivery went great, but I had some complications after. Having Callai there was so perfect, because my husband was able to have skin to skin time with our baby and Callai was at my side holding my hand until I was stable again. She had just the calm and reassuring presence that we both needed after coming into this experience with some PTSD from our first child's birth. If we ever have another baby, we will definitely choose Callai as a doula again.

My goal was to go for a natural birth while still giving birth in a hospital. After finding that all the midwives were unavailable or booked for my due date I ended up going with an ob/gyn. I was nervous about what seemed like a less than ideal situation for a natural birth. On the suggestion of an out of state friend I looked for a doula and found Callai. Working with her was the best decision my husband and I made. When you're going through labor it is so important to have a supportive team, and I am so glad that she was there with us. It was my first experience with labor, and frankly I was nervous, anxious, and a little scared However, with Callai's help, I achieved the birth I had hoped for. Labor is truly one of most transformative but toughest moments in life, and I will never forget how she got me through it. When I didn't think I could keep going she knew I could and so I did. She expertly engaged with the hospital staff to get me the birth I wanted. She was a true advocate, and I will be forever grateful. Thank you Callai for everything. If you are reading this because you are looking for a doula, stop your search and go with Callai!

When my baby was about 4 months old, I reached out to The Birthing Stone Doula for guidance, and I'm so glad I did. The set-up process was super easy. Tiffany quickly got back to me, asked a few questions through phone call, and matched me with Julia, one of their sleep coaches. From the very first home visit, Julia was incredible--kind, empathetic, and so knowledgeable. She helped me recognize when my daughter was self-soothing and gave me practical things to try. We set goals like easing daycare naps, learning to self-soothe, and adjusting to her crib. Throughout the process, Julia was always there--quick to respond, thoughtful in her answers, and endlessly encouraging. She gave me confidence to trust my instincts as a mom, while also teaching me tools to help my baby build healthy sleep habits. Within a few weeks, we met all our goals. Now my baby is a solid sleeper, can self-soothe, and sleeps through the night. I honestly don't think we'd be here without Julia's support. Highly recommend!

I'm a first time mother who really had no idea what to expect with the labor and delivery experience. Here are the main points of what we knew we wanted for our birthing experience: *delivery at Legacy Meridian Hospital *labor as long as I could without any pain medication *make use of resources to be comfortable (medicine/peanut ball, jacuzzi, massages, essential oils, dim lighting...etc) *doula for support No judgements. Compassion. We interviewed one other doula before choosing Casey and Charli. Without hesitation I knew I had to have this awesome team to support me. They are incredibly warm and friendly with tons of knowledge and experience with the whole process (pregnancy to postpartum). I felt completely comfortable upon meeting them. One of the biggest reasons why we chose them was because we were guaranteed to see one of them on the big day. Other doulas are so busy with other clients that they may send someone else from their company to support you on your big day, and that was something I didn't feel comfortable with. Casey and Charli didn't make me feel like I was just a number to add to their list of births. They always listened and asked questions. The process was easy and accommodating: first contacted via e-mail, set up the first meeting, establish a contract and deposit, set up another meeting, maintain 24/7 contact throughout pregnancy, go through labor and delivery, pay balance, and postpartum appointment. Birthing Stone offers a lot of great classes, so take advantage of these! Casey and Charli had excellent communication throughout and a great, well-organized system down to support me at any moment. I opted to have a doula-in-training to attend my delivery as well. My delivery exceeded my expectations! I had a fast delivery and ended up not using any of the resources available at the hospital. Charli and the doula-in-training were supportive and helped me to focus on breathing and relaxing during my labor. Charli made me feel like a super woman! She tied my hair back and not only worked with the medical team for me, but she made sure my husband was taken care of too. After my delivery, they checked up on me at home and helped me with any issues I had with breastfeeding. I like that they don't leave you hanging because there's SO much to this whole experience. Overall, I highly recommend Birthing Stone!! If you're looking for a doula team, this is it.

It wasn't cheap (it is a pretty complicated fix) but since this place had done some okay repairs in the past, I trusted them and spent the money. I thought the ring looked good when I got it back, but after only a year and a half, I lost two of the little diamonds out of the ring. I don't live a life that would be hard on the ring, so I called and told them about losing the diamonds (an expensive repair like that should last more than a year and a half!) and instead of being polite about it, or even offering to repair the ring and replace the stones at a discount, the guy got mad at me and basically told me that I was a liar (he said that it must have been more than a year and half) and was really nasty to me. I finally saved enough money to take the ring into a different jeweler (who is very high rated and has been in business for decades) who is charging me half the price to repair (and guaranteeing the repair for 10 years) , and he also said that the repair that Portland Jewelry Academy had done had not been finished properly. I will never use this business again.
