There is a line for the slide which they let only one kid a time to and let all VIPs to go front of the line.

We went last night (10/1/22). It gets crowded closer to the sunset (when the lights go up). The most fun is in the second (end) part of the event. At first we walked by the pumpkin tunnel and saw the signs saying "no return past this point) and turned around not really impressed with the first part of the "park" which had face paint (huge line unless you are a VIP), hair spray (huge line) and then we finally got to the second part of the park where we should have gone straight up that has a bounce house, a small roller-coaster, trick-or-treat area, food trucks, merry-go-round, huge slides, and a little car ride for kids. We had a blast there and had hard time taking kids home even though they were exhausted. One advise I have is to get a VIP tickets because the lines get crazy and you get to go to front of the line with a VIP ticket.

My first visit to this place was last year 2021 and I got so say this year, 2022 it got so bad. First off compared to last year the decorations are very mid, last year they had this maze that looks so cool but this year its just a straight walkway and it went very fast. Considering the price of their tickets it shouldve been better, the candies they give are so small they werent even able to fill out my daughter's bucket. They give out HOT TAKIS FOR KIDS that doesnt even make sense. do they really think hot takis would be enjoyed by 2year olds? come on. This year was a disappointment, no wonder there were fewer people that went this year compared to last year. Well atleast the portable restrooms are clean. I shouldve listened to the other comments prior to buying tickets, THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH IT

Haunt O'Ween is an all-ages-friendly drive-thru experience. Keep the fun traditions and excitement of Halloween alive in a safe, engaging, interactive & immersive format. This is a drive-thru Halloween adventure created for families to have some Halloween fun safely. Windows are kept down but everyone must be wearing a mask. You drive thru the maze at 5mph. Each car gets one pumpkin which is sanitized and then placed in your trunk. There are some cute displays and lots of Halloween fun you drive through. Then you get to the houses where a different character at each house dumps some candy in your car on a basket with a long stick keeping everything pretty safe. Very cute for families. Definitely not too scary for kids. The design is really nice and you can tell a lot of time and effort was put into it. Staff is really friendly. There's plenty of staff on site to help direct cars and the flow of traffic. Enjoy!

For my 6 year old it was the best night ever. For us parents it was no where worthy of $70. As you enter the parking structure of the mall, you are previously meant to fill out a waiver for your child (children) then you are given your scanned ticket. When it came to our turn to scan our entry ticket, the woman asked if we signed the waiver, I replied with yes, her response was we'll see! WTF??? Excuse me you are working for an event and rudeness is not the attitude I want to start my evening, she replied, oh look at that you did, drive ahead. I definitely recommend going at night time since it's more visual to the eye also there's more cars so that makes it feel longer and you can look more around. It definitely was not as interactive as I thought it would be, the photos online make it seem like it's a lot more fun than it actually is so that's definitely misleading, there was no photo op as it said online. When it came down to receiving our pumpkin, we where asked for $8 dollars?! We where confused by this, we taught we would be receiving a pumpkin to begin with. The treat or treat neighbor was the only highlight since that's where we received candy and my son loved opening his bag to receive. I admit that was my favorite part as well. I heard they are doing a Christmas version and I'm definitely hesitant on purchasing tickets, but unfortunately with covid they have the advantage when it comes to attempting to give our children normalcy.

This year was our first time here. You scan your tickets through the fever app. Make sure to fill out your waiver before you get to the front of the line. There is plenty of parking since this is located in a shopping center. My son and best friend had a great time. There was plenty of photo opportunities and a lot to do. They seemed to need more staff working the games but all in all it was a fun experience. I enjoyed the 'happy dad' photo booth and had a lot more fun than I thought I would at the hay maze. My son collected a lot of candy. I'm not sure if our tickets included a pumpkin to take home or that was additional. I forgot to ask and only realized after we exited.

We arrived at around 6:25 PM on Sunday and the line was a bit long, but it moved quickly so I don't think it's necessary to purchase the VIP tickets. Make sure to purchase tickets a few days ahead of time, especially if you want to visit during the weekend. I think entrance time between 5-6 PM would be ideal since you can take some good pictures during dusk time and can also enjoy the evening. There're plenty of photo ops and props here and all the staff seemed to be very friendly. Many of the rides are more suitable for kids, but my girlfriend and I still enjoyed it and spent ~2 hours here. This is a fun place to bring the whole family in to immerse in the Halloween spirit!

Horrible. Not worth your money. The guy in the games is rude. They give you cheap candy. That pumpkin in pic is what we got for 2 kids 2 adults. I guess only the kids get candy. But we all pay. But either way the candy is cheap. Nothing but cheap candy. There is two rides (carrousel and some other one) with huge lines. I saw many kids turned down because too tall. I get safety, but maybe offer more variety. For different ages. 2 face painters for the whole event. Ridiculous line. Super ridiculous since you let hundreds of people in at a time, And charge every single person. Save your coins don't go. We spend over 140 for the 4 of us just to come in for cheap candy, Only 2 rides and 3 little cheap games. They give you a tootsie roll for winning the tic-tac-toe game. Trick o treating is just little bit of Cheap candy. 1 cute photo prop where the pumpkin tunnel is. Very disappointed especially because the guy screamed at my child. My money went to the trash. Kids were dissatisfied and my son cried when that guy screamed at him.

I went to this event specifically because it said pumpkin carving (see advertisement).
    Patricia O.

I went specifically for pumpkin carving. I paid the $35 entrance fee plus the $3.50 service charge and didn't find out there was no pumpkin carving until the very end. They were free pumpkins to take home to carve however. But that's not why I went. I could have stayed home to do that for much less money.

They made a nice effort with this one. The employees were nice and did their best, but one bit of feedback is the owners might have coached the actors to be more interactive... do a little skit, pose for photos, have an activity to do, tell jokes, anything like that. The actors mostly just waved and said happy Halloween, so the selling point of 'interactive scenes/ interact with actors' was not really accurate. No photo opportunity either. It was very short and very expensive. I think maybe 50% of the price would make it almost worth it. We did get a lot of candy and it was entertaining for about 15-20 minutes.

    Great experience

Worth giving it a try especially right now considering covid! My 8 yr old loved it! He was beyond ecstatic he could barely contain himself! The staff is extremely attentive towards every vehicle and child and we got an insane amount of candy this place did not disappoint at all!

But Saturday was cool, Clover's grass was green, and the atmosphere was indeed festive. There were several options for free or metered parking in supervised lots within walking distance, making at least our vehicular arrival and departure quick and painless. After leaving the car, we made a beeline for the park's restrooms, where, as it typically happens whenever we step out to a fairground, we spent a considerable chunk of our visit waiting our turns in slow-moving lines. Plenty of music filled our ears while we waited, especially the notes coming from center stage, where a featured group, The Lions, sounded particularly captivating. We quietly joined standing watchers later on, just in time to see The Lions wrap up their soulful and energetic gig. Festival treats were also close at hand, so we couldn't miss tasting Linde's old-fashioned sugar roasted almonds. We followed our noses to her popular table where I impulsively grabbed us a couple of warm paper cones in a sweet twofer deal. Linde jokingly asked if we were unable to share, to which I honestly replied, "yes." It was a fair-tastic time. The usual apparel gifts and arts-and-craftsy things were available for passers-by to browse and purchase, and interactive activities engaged families, kids, and kids-at-heart. It seemed apparent to us after one walk-through that the city government was out to connect with and educate visitors in exchange for cheap swag and fun, with a number of public service kiosks that let you spin wheels and answer questions for prizes. We didn't get around to checking everything out (see Tess M.'s yelp here: http://bit.ly/11hmlqO for some neat things we missed), but all in all, the Festival was pleasant and low-key, which is pretty much Santa Monica in a nutshell.

Yeah, it adds up and it doesn't seem worth it, but if there's 8 of you in the car and split the tab, it isn't too bad. We came through on a Friday night. We opted for the VIP package and bypassed pretty much everyone (that line looked like a thousand miles long, so that alone threw all regrets, doubts and second thoughts out the window!) Bypassing the long line was one thing, but then my passengers' bladders decided to go in sync and in unison all needed a bathroom break BEFORE the drive. The VIP package came in handy once again - they have a separate set of porta-potties for VIP peeps, too! Needless to say, there were no lines there either. So, yeah, off to a good start. I didn't really know what to expect, so I decided not to expect too much. There were a lot of mixed reviews on Yelp (complaints were mostly about the cost) so I kept an open mind. THE VERDICT: Totally WORTH IT. This whole production was well put-together. It was beautifully created with a lot of imagination. The engineering and construction alone were astonishing, how long did it take them to put it all up! And I really liked that they coordinated all the lights' movements with the music coming off the assigned radio station (107.9.) And those souls braving the cold as they entertained us with their dance moves... KUDOS! (I didn't get to see what's in the VIP box but going by how each of my passengers went through it like the Tasmanian Devil, I'm gonna assume whatever was in there was fun!) If this is your thing, here are a few tips: 1) Entry is at Holly and Huntington NOT at the main entrance. If you do end up at the main entrance, they'll reroute you. No worries. 2) You can come through as early as 30 minutes before your scheduled time, but try to be there within that window just for the sake of being considerate. The whole thing is about 45 minutes to an hour, all depending on how slow or fast you go. 3) CLEAN YOUR WINDSHIELDS! I meant to, but I completely forgot. But even with the semi-dirty glass, it was still pretty good. 4) Sunroofs are great! I didn't have one (wouldn't have mattered if I did since I was the one behind the wheel) but I was sorta jealous of the peeps who made full use of it. I imagine that's the best way to experience it. 5) You are allowed to open your windows. Just watch out for fog machines... 6) Take your time and let it all sink in. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it, something cool to do social distancing style. It's an event for all ages and a great excuse to get out of the house more especially during these challenging times.
