Before this mess, Emily pampered me, my skin - hell, MY SOUL. From the moment I walked through her salon door I felt welcome, relaxed and cared for. The ambiance of the space is fresh, super clean and inviting. Plants scattered around the space and beautiful personal touches really make you feel at ease; but if that doesn't do it for you, Emily's warm and attentive personality definitely will. Emily assessed my skin and we discussed my areas of concern, customizing my facial needs. Her gentle treatment had me in such a calm and peaceful state as she worked. Oh, wait! I should start by saying I've been looking forward to my appointment for almost two months with Emily and it was everything and more then I had hoped for. I had heard about and found her during the holidays, I am from a beauty background so I always do my research. I am from Westchester County and to some they might think it's "upstate" and I can tell you it is worth the 35-40 minute drive. For starters Haus of Glow is a beautiful place of business. It's a nice open, calming space. It made me feel instantly at ease when I walked in. Emily is absolutely amazing. Her service is impeccable and her knowledge is extensive. She assessed my skin and created a plan to help me get my skin back to its optimal health. I have been suffering from severe acne the last 5 months and in 4 days I have already seen such great progress. My skin is smooth and flat and day by day the acne is disappearing. Emily is PHENOMENAL!!!! I have been seeing her for facials once a month since 2014. I trust no one else with my skin. She is extremely knowledgeable about all things skincare, and has worked in high end spas in Manhattan and Dobbs Ferry (I follow her everywhere!). If I could give her 100 stars I would. Her new space in Beacon is beautiful, luxurious, and exclusive. You have to make an appointment in advance to get in, you can't just walk in. The time you spend with her she is completely focused on you and only you. No interruptions to the service, no phones ringing, no people talking in the other room. Total pampering, which I love! When I first saw Emily I had just moved to New York City from Chicago, and my skin was freaking out. I've always had combination skin, and occasionally I'd have break outs, but it was really a disaster from the stress of moving to a new city. She has customized regimens for me over the years, and has tried different treatments as well, and I'm always thrilled with my skin. Emily is super kind, gentle and she takes the time to make you feel comfortable. You can choose to relax during the session, or have her explain what she is doing. She is very knowledgeable and even took the time to go over the ingredients in my skin care products and suggest alternatives when needed. I most recently had the Dermaplane and it was such a good experience. I have sensitive skin and she made sure to use extra hydration and calming masks so my skin was absolutely radiant when finished. I had a great experience with Emily. I have been wanting to try DMK products for awhile but didnt want to make the long trek to NYC for a facial, her spa is a relaxation haven. As an esthetician myself, I was very impressed with the quality of the facial because it included high frequency, LED light, lymphatic drainage, among extra treatments within the facial I had booked. The DMK enzimatic treatment looks uncomfortable in phptos but she has the type of serene personality that makes you feel at ease while the mask tightens during 45 mins.
