I found Havahug Havanese five years ago. I knew I wanted a Havanese puppy and did a ton of research before settling on Havahug. It's easy to go to their website and want a puppy they are absolutely beautiful dogs. That however was not why I selected Havahug Havanese. I reached out to Jessica to get on the waitlist, she was an absolute pleasure to communicate with and made me feel I was making a good decision to choose Havahug as the breeder. Once the litter was born and it was my turn Jessica contacted me to chose my puppy. This is where the true magic happened, I selected Cooper from a picture he was only a few days old. From there Jessica would email me weekly sometimes more than that depending on the week with photos and updates on how Cooper was maturing, she would give me little stories about his personality and so many other fun things. I have saved all those emails they meant the world to me and still do. when I picked Cooper up I felt like I already knew him. Because Jessica takes so much time raising her puppies they are absolutely amazing. Cooper was not afraid of anything, non reactive and so easy going and loving. This is because of Jessica and her family and all the hard work they do to socialize and have their puppies ready for their forever families. I can take Cooper anywhere and he adapts without any issues, there isn't a person or other dog or cat that he doesn't want to be best friends with. He has the best personality and is just the cutest little muppet who loves to snuggle and entertain you. He is extremely healthy and loved by everyone he meets. One other thing worth mentioning is a Havanese requires grooming, Jessica talked to me about this and my responsibility from the very beginning. Jessica starts getting puppies used to be groomed at a very early age and because of that I have zero issues with brushing him and taking him to the groomer. He actually loves being groomed. Cooper's "stylist" loves having him come to the salon, he's so good while she works her magic and gives her lots of kisses throughout his appointment. she calls him a "unicorn" client because he is that well behaved on the table. Havanese have a wonderful temperament, we like say Coop is sweet and a little spicy because he does have a mischievous side at times but honestly in the cutest way possible it's usually so funny that it's hard not to laugh and then that just makes him want to do more. I can't imagine life without him and count my blessing that I found Jessica and Havahug. you are not buying a dog, you are trusting someone to give you a family member and I wouldn't trust anyone more than Jessica and Havahug Havanese. read more

After doing a lot of research and visiting other havanese breeders webpages, we found Jessica and Havahug Havanese. I knew we found the right one. From my first email with Jessica I realized how professional she was but most importantly how much love she gives to all her dogs and what she does. Jessica kept us informed throughout the whole process. And when the puppies were born and we picked ours, she kept us updated with emails, pictures, and videos of the beautiful puppies. Our amazing Mocha arrived in Houston, Texas by airplane. We picked her up at the airport at the time we were told she would arrived. She was happy, alert, and clean. We couldn't have expected the experience to be any easier than what it was. It has been a dream having Mocha with us. Since the moment she arrived she has only filled our lives with so much love and puppy eyes! She is incredible smart and gentle. We can't imagine not having her with us. And then when Mocha was 3 years old we decided to do it all over again. This time we were in Denver, Colorado and Peppa was transported by someone Jessica had recommended. This person kept me updated throughout the trip, sending me pictures of our beautiful Peppa. She arrived to Denver being the beautiful ball of fluff she is still is! When my childhood dog passed away, my parents and I found Jessica and Havahug havanese and were able to put a deposit on the upcoming litter in hopes to mend our hearts. A couple months later the litter was born and with Jessica's attention to our newest little addition, she updated us weekly with photos and emails. We received our formerly Miss Boots, now Abby. Abby just turned 9 years old and has a clean bill of health along with being a kind, loving girl. I am happy to say that I, myself came back to Jessica when I was ready for a dog of my own. I don't trust anyone else to care for my fur baby more than Jessica. She is so attentive. I loved all the updates and she made the pickup process smooth sailing. Lily had all her up to date shots and was a beautiful chocolate Havahug when I picked her up. She has grown to be an energetic and loving little girl. My life is forever changed. Jessica and her family at Havahug are absolutely lovely, wonderful breeders who raise amazing puppies. We adopted our chocolate sweetie from her almost five years ago and he's the best dog - so smart, friendly, gentle, and well-behaved. Havahug puppies are raised with so much kindness and care; our pup arrived well-socialized and was even litter-box trained already! Jessica herself is just wonderful to work with. She provided beautiful photos and weekly updates on our puppy's growth until it was time to pick him up, and continues to be available if we have questions or need advice. Havahug really is a gem of a breeder where raising incredible dogs is clearly a labor of love. As you can see from other reviews, these dogs become treasured family members and their only drawback is that they're addictive - we are constantly talking about when to add a second havanese to our family. Jessica is an incredible breeder who cares passionately about her pups. My dog, Bud, is the sweetest, most loving dog I've ever known and he's incredibly smart. The love and nurturing he received before coming to me is evident in his sweet personality. He came to me in perfect health, up to date on all of his shots, and with vet records from his puppy visits. Jessica shared videoclips of Bud and his puppy siblings, as well as email updates on his progress prior to his transfer to me, which was so exciting and helped me to see his personality before he came home. Would definitely recommend this breeder to everyone... Jessica has given us 2 beautiful and smart Chocolate Havanese. We bought the first one 3 years ago and we were amazed from the start...our puppy was already partially trained for papers and was beautiful, we decided a 2nd was in our future. After lots of research on breeders and types of dogs, my first puppy ever is from Jessica and Chris. Brodee joined our home at 9 weeks old at the beginning of this year. He has been, as I told her the "light of my life". He is so good natured, sweet, loving, funny, healthy and is the best of buddies with our cat Charlie. Jessica and Chris are great people. They are a small breeding program so they're able to devote all of the necessary time to the puppies. I love my baby - Coco will be four this month and has never had any serious health issues. She's a bit mischievous but I blame that on her parenting she's mostly a perfect angel and a perfect part of our family.
