The upside of No. 1 Shoes is that they do great deals occasionally, like getting a second pair for half price, with the added convenience of having shoes for every person of every age. I haven't seen anything in No. 1 Shoes that has struck me as a 'must-buy' lately, but it's a good alternative for those who don't want to spend too much on a pair of heels they won't wear more than a few times. The range here is huge and varies slightly between stores from what I've noticed; the range in Westfield has improved over the last few months too. It's a good stop for almost any shoe you're after, most notably their casual, school and work shoes.

Clearance prices when I popped in for a browse to mark the end of summer stock which made the somewhat high price tags slightly more affordable at 40 percent and 50 percent off retail. I liked their winter styles as well, most attractive and definitely Muya can hold its own as a high fashion shoe store in the heart of trendy, unforgivably showcase stylish Newmarket. Novo does amazing boots, so it's my go-to place in the winter when I'm looking for a new pair for the season. I also like their range of flats, it's a good selection. I like flats that go with a lot of outfits and they've got great plain ones, but if you're wanting something with a few more bells and whistles, they accommodate for that too- its a win win really. Novo does handbags aswell- I don't own one but I have checked them out- pretty good quality if you ask me! As someone with size 10 feet, I am right on the cusp of the size range most stores stock, and have often wondered what women with size 11 and bigger feet do. Where do they find their shoes? The answer is Willow. Stocking shoes in sizes ten and above, Willow Shoes is the best place for women with larger feet to find great fashionable footwear. I popped in to this store out of curiosity and was impressed to discover their range of shoes. Ankle boots, wedges, heels, flats, sandals, knee high boots - Willow has a fantastic range of footwear and all their shoes are made from quality materials - with many of them being genuine leather. This quality does mean that Willow Shoes is quite a pricey place to purchase footwear, but if it means the shoes not only last but also fit and look great - then I'd say the prices are most definitely worth paying! Bonus: The women that work in Willow are lovely - they genuinely understand the issues women face by having long feet and are dedicated to finding the right pair of shoes for every customer.

But they deserve 5 stars for simply providing for people with "long feet" like me. Further, they stock a wide array of styles, truly something to suit everyone, and all top quality. I tend to dress conservatively, and while some of their stock is quite adventurous, they have equally many 'sleek' and understated options. And there's every conceivable heel, width, style, et cetera. The staff are friendly and helpful, don't impose and didn't even get annoyed with me for trying on half their inventory while bleating the whole while about how much I hate shopping. Another thing I have to give them credit for is that their prices are very reasonable, comparable to any good shoe store, even though they could easily get away with being greedy since they cater for people who struggle to find shoes in mainstream stores. I visited here once before when I was in my teens and bought a great pair of leather boots that I've worn ever since, and also a pair of ballet-style slippers that are still my daily bread. This time around I bought three pairs of mid-height heels, perfect for work as well as more casual occasions, comfortable and flattering and I feel very confident in them. Thank goodness for these guys, they make my life a whole lot easier!

I'm always perpetually frustrated with shoe shops and their lack of size 4 & 5s, especially when it means I need to start looking at Barbie shoes in the kids section! So naturally, finding a stylish pair of walking shoes is difficult to come by, but not at Platypus. I walked in and came out with 2 pairs of shoes! Only two downsides: the staff, though friendly, could have been more attentive, and the shoes were pretty pricey for what they are! If they last 3-5 years though, I shall be back! ;-)
