I had many come into my home to give me…read moreestimates (probably 15 companies, even several for Pgh), trying to find the best price/best product. Replacing windows is a big cost and I didn't want to chose incorrectly. I did thorough research online prior to making my decision to chose Wagner's Home Center in New Brighton. The owner, Sam Wagner, came to our home and was very expertise in his knowledge of replacement windows. He discussed his product and his company. It added a level of comfort to know they are a family owned business for over 37 years, that speaks volumes in my opinion. He patiently answered all of our questions. He was very honest when discussing the pros and cons of various available products. He was very friendly and professional throughout the process. He measured every window for accuracy prior to discussing his bid (most companies did not do this). They fabricate the windows in their shop, so you're not getting pre-fab windows. He explained that they use their own employees for installation, unlike most companies that subcontract out this work. To me, this is preferred, as a subcontracted worker isn't as invested in ensuring the work is done properly. He gave us a very good quote (very competitive to other quotes we received, beating almost all of them), especially considering we were receiving low e glass and argon gas which most companies charge extra for. Given the price of companies like Window World, we gave them serious consideration, but when you calculate all the "extras" and the fact that their online reviews are hideous, it just wasn't worth the risk. Most of those bigger companies have a high volume of bad reviews, particularly for customer service and over the lifetime of the windows. We ultimately chose to proceed with this company because the windows are 100% guaranteed as long as we own the home; they guarantee their workmanship; the fact its their own employees that install the windows; local fabricated low e/argon gas windows included in the quoted price of the windows; the generous offer to repair & include in the price some of our damaged window sills that we knew we had; and the confidence & comfort we felt from the owner. We gave Sam a deposit and he got on the phone and scheduled the installation for just a few weeks later. Our installation took two days. The installers, Todd and Dean, were very professional. It was very evident they were very knowledgeable and skilled. They took care to ensure our floors were protected and cleaned up after they were done with each window. We live in an old house, so most of our windows were not square, and the wood damaged (from being so old and from weather over the years) so they had to put forth a lot of extra effort. They did a wonderful job. We were very pleased with the final product. I can't believe the difference I feel already and can't wait to see some savings on my bills this winter. I had researched online and could not find any negative reviews for Wagner, in fact, I couldn't find any reviews. Considering most folks only write negative reviews, I figured this was good that there wasn't at least negative reviews. I thought I would make it a point to put a thorough review online for Wagner's so folks are aware of this company and don't miss out at least considering them. When making a choice for replacement windows, they are definitely a company you should consider. You won't be disappointed.

We hired Molyneaux to install manufactured hardwood on our first and second floor. They were…read moresupposed to have it installed while we were on our honeymoon. Instead, they barely finished our second floor and had none of our first floor done when we returned. On top of that, it took them an additional three days to finish the job. The final job included uneven floors, floors that creaked, and floors that were not evenly distributed. They clearly were in a hurry, with quality being a minor concern. They offered us $500 credit for a future job but their pricing for said future job was so outrageous it seemed a joke. Instead we went another direction. We used Empire for our addition 6 months later, and the quality difference is noticeable. The Empire floors are solid, even, and stable. The Molyneaux floors are uneven, inconsistently placed, and lacking quality for the price charged. Overall very disappointing.
