The shallow end of the pool has a curtain of water that falls from the ceiling and various fountains/massage jets. For two guys on a multiweek construction project out of town, the aquatic center at Hampton Inn Wheeling was the best surprise either of us can remember lately. HIW had more to offer though. There was a shuttle service that took us to supper, brought us back when we called (and they showed up in about 7 minutes) later, we took the shuttle to the casino We both somehow beat the house for some decent loot. And we taken back to the hotel by the shuttle at two am Both drivers were exceptionally gracious and polite. This unassuming looking hotel hides spectacular accommodations and flawless hospitality. Beds were comfortable. TV was smaller than I have expected recently and I don't recall them having the option of connecting Netflix or any other streaming services which is nice, relying on what is on cable at that particular moment is a drag and I don't know how we did it for so long. Towels were plentiful. Shower was nice. Multiple mirrors arranged in just a way that your partner can watch you on the toilet from the bed if you leave the door open, as we discovered. I found Bonnie Dwaine through Yelp, and I am so glad that we chose to stay here! From the moment we arrived, the house was perfect for our stay. Our room was on the third floor, and was renovated with a king sized bed. The bed was extremely comfy, the space was large, and we had our own bathroom as well. We chose this space for the king bed, but although it was very nice it was missing the vintage/historic feel of the other rooms located on the second floor. This room was HUGE, and would be great for a family. If we stay again, I would love to spend time in one of the other rooms, they were all so beautiful and historic. Bonnie was a fantastic host. She was so kind, friendly, and extremely thoughtful. She had a lovely home, and took great pride in making her guests feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast that was served was fantastic, and she even made us breakfast for the morning that we slept in, and had it sitting out for us with a note when we were finally able to make it downstairs to the dining room. 5 stars for the bed and breakfast, 5 stars for friendly Bonnie, and 5 stars for the location! We will use the other suite when we return home to IN. We always stay at Residence when traveling with extra adults and grandkids because it is halfway to our destination. She was also FABULOUS at finding a pack and play for the little one. The suites here are great, roomy, full kitchen. The Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very spacious and well maintained. The kitchen is large and super clean. Checkout is at noon, and we requested for late checkout, but it was not honored as staff mentioned they are fully booked, but we stayed at the Lobby which is spacious with lot of seating arrangements. The bathroom is spacious, and water pressure was okay. There is a basketball court to play, Swimming pool was maintained super clean. The outdoor area with grill is a super value addon for extended stays. The breakfast selection is good and definitely enjoyed it. There are lot of food options around the hotel like Buffalo wild wings, Chinese restaurant and there is also a Krogers within 5 minutes' drive. This location is also closer to the interstate. Parking is easy and convenient.
