Went here to look at sofas with my wife. We were greeted by Pam. Very friendly and said she would check in to see if we found anything we liked. We looked around, found a lot of wildly overpriced furniture. Many of the sofas were "leather". I do know about this kind of furniture through a previous career. Pam seemed offended when I told her not all of the sofas we looked at were leather. I said we would have to agree to disagree. We like recognize our sales consultant, Patrick Lucas, who has truly gone above and beyond at every step to deliver some of the most exceptional customer to us. During our initial visit, he was very attentive and yet did so without smothering us (aka he made sure we had the space to look around and get an idea of what interested us) and offered great suggestions. He and the interior designer were both so generous with their time in putting together our new rooms. After the initial sale, Patrick has followed up with us regularly - his communication is top notch! In addition to Patrick and our designer, our interactions with the store manager and Patti have likewise been great. Reading back into my reviews... I've realized that at the time I placed this one, I was probably only 18-19 years old. A lot has changed since then - in a good way. Being young can include blaming businesses for their mistakes, when in reality, we all make mistakes. Speaking of time, my bed! It has held up very well. She even sent us a handwritten card to thank us for our business and let us know she was always there for us if we needed anything! That is some serious, old school customer service. How awesome! Additionally, the other sales folks were very helpful as well. We bought a floor model and I noticed it had a lean to it. After checking out Ashley and American Signature for sectionals , we went down the street to Haverty's. Never heard of them, didn't know what to expect. As soon as we walked in I immediately saw one I liked, and at a good price. We walked around a bit more and our saleswoman Elaine was not pushy and very personable. We decided on that first couch, and she told us it could be delivered 2 days later (for Free). In my experience, that's pretty fast. Sidenote: the couch we bought is replacing one from Room & Board, which took weeks to arrive, was overpriced, and down filled (NEVER buy furniture made with feathers - its uncomfortable, feathers stick out, fall out, make a daily mess and eventually the cushions become flat, and it's inhumane to the birds) Delivery was on time and quick, and they even took the old bastard feather couch to our upstairs room. read more

I am very impressed by the service at Havertys. I specifically went with Havertys over another big name store because they were able to guarantee delivery is a short amount of time which was very important since I was moving to another country in a couple weeks. The delivery window was 2 hours rather than 12 like me other places. My furniture actually arrived at the top of the delivery window. I also received a handwritten thank you note from the sales person as well as a follow-up phone call from him following the delivery. Havertys has top notch service! I had been shopping for a dining room table,so we went to Havertys for the first time. They had a good selection. I appreciated Carla, my salesperson, for not getting pushy. She stayed close to answer all my questions. I made a selection, within no time I had a delivery date. The time changed on the day of delivery but that happens. I purchased additional protection that Havertys offers. They delivered the set with pads on all the legs for added protection. I was completely thrilled with the level of professionalism and thoroughness that the whole team from Havertys displayed. I would wholeheartedly recommend Havertys to all my friends and family. read more

Buying experience was fine but 11 months after delivery, the frame broke in a motorized recliner sofa. It was fixed under warranty at no charge. 14 months later the sofa had the same problem wThis time the repair is at my full expense even though it is the exact same issue that was repaired before. It appears that the repair will be about $500 including transportation. I realize that Haverty's didn't make the sofa and they don't know if I abused it or not. I don't think that investing another $500 is a good decision since the Haverty's repair didn't work the first time. My "case" has been under management review for two weeks. Depending on their decision, I will either continue to buy from Haverty's and boast about their excellent service, or will go buy another sofa from another furniture store and continue this post with the factual yet disappointing after sale treatment from Haverty's. I bought (on a Saturday)a Headboard and Footboard and nightstand from this store. I really liked it and by gosh, it was available for delivery on the following Wednesday! Wow, this was a smooth purchase, and so efficient. So I thought! After calls and emails letting me know of my upcoming delivery I was so impressed by the level of customer service. On the delivery date, I was given a window; then the window changed to the later window, 3:15-6:15. Around 5 pm, I received a phone call from customer service. The delivery people noticed the headboard was "crushed" in the truck but they could come and deliver it anyway and exchange it later. HUH?? Why would I want damaged merchandise...not like a sofa...a headboard and footboard that has to be assembled and then unassembled to be exchanged. When I said no, I was told that the next delivery date was the following week! No customer service rep called, I had to contact them the following day and no one had an answer. Called the store and again no one had an answer on new delivery. I had to cancel the order and buy elsewhere. Like a pretty package with a lump of coal inside...never again. read more

the hubs and i spent our day venturing around town and decided to browse in a few furniture stores, just to "look". after leaving two other stores even more confident we were just looking, we entered haverty's. and left A LOT poorer. but super glad we did. approaching us when we walked in was who ended up being what would be produced when the stars aligned, and she was named deborah. we told deborah the gist of what we were growing for and she gave us our space until we needed her. no crrepy stalking. here's the deal: we are adopting two older children from china, each with special needs: one has only physical needs and the other cognitive delay. we are in the midst of setting up bedrooms and fixing a new guest room (since our previous guest room is now one of the children's bedroom), and also, the table in our breakfast room is not what we want when they come home. we also need a table for them to do homework and crafts at. we also personally were wishing and dreaming for a headboard and footboard for us (we haven't had a real bed with said headboard and footboard in the 2 years we've been married). we found the daybed with trundle for the guest room, and began talking to her about our story, and the adoption, she told us about how she had lived abroad and worked issuing visas for newly adopted children as well. we shared with her our plight of our completely different design ideology and she spent well over an hour with us helping us decide on the perfect balance of function and aesthetic. when we left, we had the perfect headboard/footboard for our bedroom, a daybed with trundle for the new guest room, an awesome small dresser for storage for the new guest room, and our dream table/homework craft area. all around a great experience, where we didn't feel like chum in a water full of sharks. read more

My husband and I recently bought a lot of furniture from this location. Let me just say to you "think twice" about your purchase. Haverty's used to be a business of quality , integrity and customer service but they have fallen in step with so many others and take your money, provide sub-par quality with absolutely NO customer service. We special ordered a couch. It cost thousands. In the showroom it was perfect. What we received was a piece of junk that we could have gotten at BigLots for 250.00. The cushions were supposed to be memory foam and down. What we got was cushions that flatten when you sit in them and stabbed with quils until you bleed. The frame is weak. The best thing about it is the fabric I chose but it's already faded and we have had it a few months. We complained and the guy who came to inspect it even said the couch looked 3 years old. We have no children pets or anything to cause it to look bad. You know what they did for us? Ordered new throw pillows so the quills in those could be replaced with foam. That's been 2 months ago and I laugh every time they call to say our foam inserts aren't in yet. This couch itself loses so many feathers that in a year the whole couch will be gone. We were told when we complained about how it was made that " sometimes the manufacturer changes how they make things without telling us". What ? That means I have to keep this junk? Also we had several deliveries of furniture. It took four times of delivery drivers coming to our home to get a shelf for our hutch in the dining room and we finally had to get pens to hold it in with a drive to the store and getting from the floor model. My advice is this. If you want quality furniture without all this deceit. Go somewhere else !!!! If you don't work so you're always home to schedule and be there for nothing and you don't mind your hard earned money going for flea market quality shop here !!!! The customer service staff @ the store is not friendly and are very un-accommodating. When spending thousands of dollars you would expect good service, but not here. Look elsewhere to buy. Our entire experience was absolutely amazing. It started with our saleswoman (Pam) greeting us and listening to me vent about the frustrations I'd already had that morning at other furniture stores. She answered questions calmly and kindly (even though I was being short). Then we spoke with the design woman (Sabrina), who was just as helpful and patient with me. She entered the dimensions of our room and added the pieces of furniture we were looking at so that we could see the true scale. They both worked with me until I was thrilled with my choices. They were knowledgeable and had great ideas. All this was while my kids (2 & 4) we're beginning to lose their patience. Yesterday, Lucky and Devonte delivered our furniture. They were careful and friendly, even though it had been a long day already for them (I "watched the truck" online. They had been going since almost 8am and it was about 5:15pm when ours was delivered.) They interacted with our kids and had smiles the whole time. The furniture showed up in perfect shape and looks GREAT in our living room. I am extremely happy with this company and experience. I will be back next time we purchase furniture and would definitely recommend to friends and family! read more
