Price was amazing $85 for a two hour massage. My massage was conducted by a student from Japan - there was definitely a language barrier, but we managed. The center is in a run down old building and the rooms had very little ambiance - open window with traffic noises, bright lights on the entire time and small curtained off areas. My therapist did an amazing job - Mimi took care to avoid the hip that I'm having surgery on, but definitely got all of my other tight and tense spots. They requested you to leave underwear on, which as a schoolhouse, I understand. Highly recommended and will definitely go back!! read more

Whenever we're on Oahu we quickly book our massage at this Hawai'i Massage Clinic. You can request a licensed masseur or a student. The rates for the student are discounted. I usually sign up for the 90 minute massage. They are located in Waikiki but there's a parking garage located next to the clinic. It can get hectic in there. I would definitely give yourself plenty of extra time to get there. Once you are in the building you are required to sign in with security. It's pretty simple and no frills. I've never had a bad massage. The masseurs are all Japanese and very talented. I definitely would recommend it. read more

Located on the 7th floor of the Seaside Commercial Center, enter the building from Lau'ula Street. I called for an appointment, but they answered by text. I was directed to their website to make the appointment. The fee was stated as $64 for 90 minutes. It's $56 if you are kama'aina. Hawaii State ID will be required. A confirmation text was received, as well as a reminder text to arrive 15 minutes before the appointment to complete paperwork. I paid upfront by credit card... tax was included in the price. We tipped in cash before leaving. The students were very polite and professional. We were asked if we would allow our feet and head to be touched. Sure! We were escorted to the 6th floor where there are more rooms! We were separated by thick curtains that reminded me of the type that are used in hospitals! We started face down. They were very generous with the body oil and used lomilomi techniques. I was surprised that my student (Eden) was so strong for her petite stature! She was very respectful and covered the body parts that were finished. She covered my eyes with a towel when I was face up. Overall, the massage was very thorough (scalp, back, legs, arms, neck, shoulders, etc.) and I look forward to returning! read more

Thank you to Nadine C who found this place in Waikiki...Seaside Commercial Center to be exact as it's a tiny old building almost lost amongst the huge neighbors as it's right across Ross's and behind Waikiki Shopping Plaza and they're on the 7th floor. As we walked in instantly we were greeted by the friendliest staff and getting here early is respected as you need to fill in simple and easy questions and are asked to pay your sessions upfront as we had student rates which is insanely reasonable at $64 for 90 minutes with additional discount for kama'aina is nice that they do take care of the locals with these special prices. The staff are extremely polite asking all questions before you start to clarify the type of service reserved along with materials they use and massage pressure desired is so nice and reassuring to which we were taken to a room on another floor as they have several in other rooms as well is nice so that there aren't that many along with others so you do feel the sense of privacy though this dated building isn't quite sound proof as I do hear the traffic going by along with airplanes zooming which really didn't bother me as this city girl already was in bliss as soon as the session started. The lights did stay on but they do cover your eyes with a towel that's probably my only down side but with prices and services like this it's all gravy as I felt like jello though she asked what areas to work on I said shoulder which she didn't do and didn't massage my scalp which she said was gonna do didn't get that either the pressure she gave me was impressive considering how tiny she was. I honestly put off writing a review for a long time because I don't want them to get so popular that I can't get an appointment. I will start with the worst thing which is the location. There is no parking and you have to cross several restaurants that are venting very disgusting smelly smoke at the street level. The building is also old and dilapidated and the facility is not luxurious. I had been going to Sheep Deep Sleep, which unfortunately closed and never reopened. I desperately needed a massage and I found the Waikīkī Massage Clinic on Yelp. I don't know about the quality of the student massages but I have been very impressed by the quality of the professional massage. I have worked with many different professional therapists at this business and they have all been extremely skilled and accommodating. Even though there is no parking and the location is not good, I still plan to visit regularly. The excellent skill of their professional therapists has really decreased the frequency of my horrendous tension headaches. The price for a professional massage is very reasonable. read more

They normally ask what type of pressure. This last visit - I think the therapist was getting tried as my husband usually likes hard pressure, but he felt the masseuse didn't have enough stamina to be consistent. Great little massage school in Waikīkī across of Ross and above Musubi. I parked across at Ross and bought $10 worth of stuff to get validated parking. My massage therapist was Yuzu and she was so great! I got the one hour massage. I don't have any back issues so I just did a regular full body. I just came back from a trip and these massages after a long flight back to the Hawaiian Kingdom are a must! Thankful my friend recommended this place to me. I will be back! I cannot believe the negative reviews here. Granted, it's not a fancy spa so the massage tables aren't closed and private. Your next door neighbor is covered regardless by a curtain. Tip: They don't have students on weekends. Also, the clinic is located on the 7th floor. My masseuse was Tomoyo. She was AMAZING. Her hands, I swear, had warmth and energy to them that activated the oils. She was perfect and listened to my body's every need. She was incredible! Very happy with quality of massage especially for the price of $38 for a 1 hour massage. It's a place where student massage therapists practice their skills on you for a discounted price. The last time, I wasn't that impressed but decided to give them another chance. This time my therapist was Saki and she was terrific. I could tell she knew her way around the musculoskeletal landscape. She quickly identified my tight and knotted spots and assailed them with a combination of rolling elbows and precision kneading fingers. Don't be shy to give feedback on pressure whether less pressure or make me cry like the buffet just ran out of bacon. The location is central Waikiki and I parked one block away towards the Ala Wai canal at the metered parking along Aloha Drive. I didn't know what to request and what to expect. We went back for special and this time I requested certain areas and more pressure almost deep tissue massage. Luckily for me, I found street parking. As you enter the building, you sign in with security and then use the elevators to get to the floor.They will meet you outside the door. If you were looking for some type of Zen spa facility, this is not the place. It is a school. I just wanted a massage so I did not care about the atmosphere as another spa I had initially wanted to go to was booked that day. Initially as I looked in, I saw students waiting with beds set up in the middle of the room which was small. I got nervous as I thought everyone would be looking at me, but maybe that is where they do their training. I was guided to a different room that had curtain dividers. I was asked which strength of massage I liked. I informed the student that I only wanted from back up. You are instructed to remove your bra and top and go under the covers. I'm so glad I found this place during our stay in Waikiki. I completed the online form requesting a massage and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. I had Yukino who is a licensed massage therapist and she was great! She applied the right amount of pressure and really took her time with my trouble areas. My friend had a massage with one of the students and unfortunately his experience was not as great as mine. We both scheduled another massage for this morning and I requested Yukino again and she did an amazing job. She really has wonderful hands and great technique! You can't beat the prices on their student massages! $38 for 60 minutes, $55 for 90 minutes, and $75 for 120 minutes. They were running a kamaaina special, so I went ahead and booked a 120-minute student massage for $65. I repeat. A 2-HOUR MASSAGE FOR $65. Sweeeeet! (They also offer massages by fully licensed therapists, though at a much steeper $1/minute) I requested a date and time from their online form late at night, and was able to get a reply and confirmation for an appointment the next day. Parked at Waikiki Shopping Plaza right across the street for a flat $7 fee. The clinic is located in the Seaside Commercial Center, which is the run-down looking light blue building on the corner of Lauula and Seaside with Iyasume on the ground floor. It's a really sketchy looking building, like "worried I might wake up with my liver missing" sketchy. But the service was top notch, and I guess that's how they can keep the prices so low! Worth it. Head up to the main office/front desk and the friendly and efficient workers will get you signed in and check your temperature. When it's your turn, your therapist will take you to your assigned room, which may be on another floor (another unit in the same building). I just asked for a basic massage, and to focus on my shoulders. I got a nice, strong full body massage and completely fell asleep about 30 minutes in. Woke up 90 minutes later and was totally refreshed! Overall, no complaints here. Maybe not the absolute best massage I've ever received, but for the price, completely worth it!!! I called and got a recording that said to leave a message. I left a message and got a very quick reply from the reservationist who got me in that same day. I've been doing massage for 35 yrs and am not critical of student massages because it is a learning process. I was HIGHLY IMPRESSED by both therapists with their confidence, professionalism, and with the pressure they applied that I had asked for! I've ran a massage school in the past so I understand it IS a clinic and learning atmosphere. It is located in an old hotel that's been converted in to a school so don't be surprised if they take you to another floor for your massage. The room is divided in to 3 or 4 individual and private spaces divided by curtains so don't expect a spa experience. It is a learning atmosphere but it was very comfortable. This is my first time here & I really wanted to support this place. But that was the lamest, most ineffective massage I've ever had. I guess you get what you pay for. The massage therapist was sweet, but her pressure was inconsistent. At times too hard, at others too light. I gave up asking for less pressure or more pressure, and at about the half way point just decided to endure it & wait for it to be over. I am still recovering on my heel. The person rolled some something on the bottom of my feel my left foot has pain and it is difficult to walk now for almost a week. I wrote that I am diabetic but I think she didn't look at it. My feel is important to me and it takes longer to heal. Although I am in shape I do walk 3-5 miles a day. Amazing hidden spot for affordable massage! Most places in Waikiki can charge upwards of $100+ for a massage, I got the 90 min Student Lomi Lomi Massage and it was only $60! Don't let the "student" part discourage you; my masseuse, Nomi, did a fantastic job. She was very attentive and kind, we discussed what type of pressure I like and what areas to focus on. My favorite was the arm massage which felt nicely stretched and soothing. As for the ambiance, I definitely recommend going early in the morning when they open (9:30-10am). There is abit of noise as the massage room is three beds separated by curtains so you may hear other clients talking when they are leaving/arriving. Also, you are in the busy Waikiki so a bit of street noise coming from the windows is unavoidable but not too bothersome. But overall it was still very relaxing and peaceful. Love going to Hawaii Massage Clinic! It is located in Waikiki on Seaside Avenue across the street from Ross and just 5 minutes from me! They always have great enticing deals. On my first visit in November 2020, I enjoyed 120 minute massage for $50. The deal I got on my second visit was 60 minutes $28. Unbelievable!! The students are actually pretty good. I was lucky to get Hiro-san. He was great- I have shoulder injury and he was very sensitive yet gave me good massage on it. His pressure was perfect- I love strong pressure.
