I took my grandma here for an MRI…read more This Hawaii Diagnostic Radiology office is located at the St. Francis Hospital on Liliha Ave. on the first floor. There's ample parking with two entrances. You can enter on your first left when you drive in. Or you can drive all the way up to the next building and there is another entry into the parking lot. If you park up there, it's super easy and quick to get to the buildings and this office, but exiting from the parking lot is tiresome. You'll go around and around many times. From the lower section, you need to take the long driveway, make a right turn, then go past the reserved stalls, and then find a spot. If you find a spot without going higher much, you'll need to take the elevator up. If I can quote the wise Olmec, "the choice is yours, and yours alone!" The office and waiting area is very nice. Super clean, cold A/C, comfortable chairs, very spacious, eye-pleasing artwork, and nice TVs not on annoying channels. The staff here are very friendly and professional. They are thorough and explain things clearly and easy to understand. The whole MRI process took a little over an hour, and probably 20 minutes to check in, fill out forms, and wait. The good thing is they validate 3 hours parking, so it'll be free.

After about 20 minutes, I went up to the counter to ask for the bathroom key. It wasn't until then the receptionist had told me that she wasn't sure if I wanted to wait. Apparently she called the doctor's Office and there was a message that they were out to lunch and won't be back until 2:00 pm. It wasn't even 1:00 pm yet. I got a little irritates by this thinking and wondering if I hadn't gone up to the counter to ask for the bathroom key, we would have continued to sit there until after 2:00! I felt the receptionist should have at least let me know that she tried calling and that the office wouldn't reopen until after lunch at 2:00. I was pressed for time since I was taking my daughter to get her xrays done, using my lunch break. I ended up leaving and taking my daughter home so I could go back to work. End result was I called and left a message with the doctor's office who the called Hawaii Imaging to call in the paperwork. I ended up taking my daughter after work. Got there at about 4:30 and out in no time after! This place wasn't as crowded as earlier. Highly recommend going later in the afternoon. This location is walk in only. They also validate parking if you park in their lot in the back. I'd recommend calling to make sure they have received your orders from the doctor's office before heading down.

The reception area is bright and airy. The staff ate really nice, friendly and efficient! The the technicians are also very nice and friendly. The ladies are so patient and empathetic cause they know we are a little anxious and apprehensive. The rooms are bright and clean that make.you feel at ease. At the end of the visit, you can pick a beautiful rose when leaving! Heard the roses come from the big island! My favorite!

He texted me needing a lift from Pali Momi Medical Center (PMMC) to his home just off Kinau Street. PMMC opened its doors in July 1989 and has been servicing Central and West Oahu. It was originally opened as Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi until rebranded as PMMC in 2010. They are conveniently located in Aiea just down the road from Pearlridge Shopping Center. It was my first time here and was impressed with the upkeep of the grounds. Because my friend just had a procedure to the day prior, a hospital staff wheeled him via wheelchair to the pickup/drop off area. I was amazed by the hospital's attention to patient's condition, consideration and service extended. Although the pickup was a fairly quick process, the setback I encountered was leaving. There were 2 parked cars in front of me and it didn't seem the cars would be leaving soon. Furthermore, the right hand lane was too narrow where I couldn't pass them. My only option was to back up and exit via the far left lane. Thank goodness there was no car behind me otherwise I would have been in a standstill. He was responsive and very caring. My son felt safe with him. The night nurse, Cliff, was also very good too! Case managers, Beth and Tainika, kept our family up-to-date with our son's status. My son still has a slight yellow tinge to his skin, but he is stable and getting stronger thanks to the great care provided by the wonderful Pali Momi staff of doctors and nurses! Mahalo!

This time I was there as a visitor instead of a patient, and I also discovered a small Starbucks corner in the waiting area past the vending machines (which unfortunately weren't working). It was such a nice surprise. They had great options, I grabbed a turkey pesto sandwich, a Smartwater, and a nutter butter and it definitely helped hold me over during the ER wait. Little comforts like that really make a difference when you're spending hours there.

Many stayed because they like the Hawaii lifestyle but they know nothing about Aloha. I will never go back there again unless I am unconscious. I don't like hospitals and get anxious when I have to go, and they were so rude to me they turned it into a full blown panic attack. I tried to leave and they physically restrained me after I said these words "You do not have permission to touch my body." They violated my space in a big way, and that is illegal. You don't have a right to hold a patient down who does not want to be touched. I was already out the door at that point. You're lucky you didn't get sued. Then when I was sitting on a bench waiting for my husband, and meditating to calm myself down, they threatened to call security and HPD to remove me. I'm thinking go ahead, maybe they will give me a ride. Then they did send a humongous security guard who told me I was trespassing on private property and had to leave right that moment. WTF? I'm a little old lady who didn't want to be manhandled either. He was my son's age and was polite and just doing the job they told him to do. I don't blame him. It was those nurses that caused the whole incident from beginning to end. None of them could seem to realize that all I was ever trying to do was leave peacefully. I was in the ER for a reason. Did they expect me to walk home? This was all kinds of wrong. Castle has gone way downhill. P.S. There were witnesses.

"Windward Side Aloha"…read more Castle Hospital, now named "Adventist Health Castle" is the Kailua/Kaneohe windward side of Oahu's, closest hospital services, without having to go over the Pali or Likelike. It's smaller that big brothers Queens, Straub or Kaiser but from what I've heard, people appreciate the service they were provided. Clean, pretty easy to maneuver, as you enter the main doors, a dedicated information desk manned by dedicated volunteers can help you get to where you need to go. But of course on a visit I focused on the dining options and I have to say the food was pretty good, just a simple scrambled eggs, rice and corned beef hash (canned) and a taste of their fried rice. All enough to satisfy a mornings craving for sure. Not spectacular, but satisfying. Service, like the rest of the hospital seems to be friendly, helpful and efficient. It shows in the way the employees interact with each other. Normally one does not specifically target to visit a hospital for their cafeteria offerings. This is not the case either. But if you are at this hospital on business and are hungry or thirsty, their cafeteria called the Bistro is definitely a resonable option.

I saw Dr. Miscovich once, nearly a year ago, for 15 minutes. I was supposedly scheduled for labs…read moreand a GI consult--then heard nothing for months. When I followed up, the receptionist told me I could just walk in for labs and she'd follow up on the referral. That turned into 3 separate trips due to an insurance error--Dr. Miscovich's office had sent over my dental insurance. I had to go back and forth between offices just to get basic labs completed. Still no word on the GI consult. Two months later, I messaged through their portal asking about my lab results. The response: "If you have any questions please call and schedule a lab follow up visit over the phone or in person." No explanation, no summary--that was it. As for the GI consult? After leaving multiple voicemails and hearing nothing, I called the GI office directly. They told me they had rejected the referral 6 months ago due to the same insurance error. I left another message with Dr. Miscovich's office... and then another - no response. Finally, I left 1 last message : "Ok, you win. I give up." Hopefully I'm not dying, but I can't count on this doctor to let me know either way.
