It's been a week and no one has called me or returned my voicemails. They just sent me a bill for $320 after insurance, but I still don't know if my toe is broken. I basically am going to be stuck paying $320 for nothing and may have to go to another doctor to see if my toe is broke because it still really hurts

I took my grandma here for an MRI…read more This Hawaii Diagnostic Radiology office is located at the St. Francis Hospital on Liliha Ave. on the first floor. There's ample parking with two entrances. You can enter on your first left when you drive in. Or you can drive all the way up to the next building and there is another entry into the parking lot. If you park up there, it's super easy and quick to get to the buildings and this office, but exiting from the parking lot is tiresome. You'll go around and around many times. From the lower section, you need to take the long driveway, make a right turn, then go past the reserved stalls, and then find a spot. If you find a spot without going higher much, you'll need to take the elevator up. If I can quote the wise Olmec, "the choice is yours, and yours alone!" The office and waiting area is very nice. Super clean, cold A/C, comfortable chairs, very spacious, eye-pleasing artwork, and nice TVs not on annoying channels. The staff here are very friendly and professional. They are thorough and explain things clearly and easy to understand. The whole MRI process took a little over an hour, and probably 20 minutes to check in, fill out forms, and wait. The good thing is they validate 3 hours parking, so it'll be free.

Apparently she called the doctor's Office and there was a message that they were out to lunch and won't be back until 2:00 pm. It wasn't even 1:00 pm yet. I got a little irritates by this thinking and wondering if I hadn't gone up to the counter to ask for the bathroom key, we would have continued to sit there until after 2:00! I felt the receptionist should have at least let me know that she tried calling and that the office wouldn't reopen until after lunch at 2:00. I was pressed for time since I was taking my daughter to get her xrays done, using my lunch break. I ended up leaving and taking my daughter home so I could go back to work. End result was I called and left a message with the doctor's office who the called Hawaii Imaging to call in the paperwork. I ended up taking my daughter after work. Got there at about 4:30 and out in no time after! This place wasn't as crowded as earlier. Highly recommend going later in the afternoon. This location is walk in only. They also validate parking if you park in their lot in the back. I'd recommend calling to make sure they have received your orders from the doctor's office before heading down.

I was MISdiagnosed there 2 YEARS when I had lymphoma UNDER shrapnel from an Iraq War wound. I was told, "You are getting OLD, and it's an old war wound..." DISSED for 2 YEARS??%$#@! finally, I went outside w/Medicare, got a proper diagnosis, (CANCER in that bone under the 'old war wound'), and referred for treatment-- finally the V.A. got involved because I threatened to go to the press if they didn't take over. The docs at St. Francis radiation center were GREAT. But nothing worked as it's a rare cancer and it didn't respond to radiation, and kept coming back. Finally, with MY research (I'm a retired surgeon) I found a treatment that may work for me and they referred me on after my oncologist AGREED. MAHALO PRES. TRUMP for 'Care in The Community', as we can now go to outside docs if we live far away--and they took me seriously, I got treatment the V.A. doesn't have anyway--and they listened to me, treating me with respect as a fellow doc. PALI MOMI WAS THE LATEST DOC TO SEE FOR BONE SURGERY--a big surgery, a VERY long 18 month recovery=MAJOR. I saw Dr. Aratani, who is highly specialized in ortho and oncology--one of only 2 on island. The only other is my friend @ Tripler but he was deployed so unavailable and he got me in to see Dr. Aratani. She was enthusiastic about my research, said YES--and referred me on to Queens for one treatment before she operates...but PALI MOMI WAS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. I was pretty lost there as I never go to Aiea, living in Kahalu'u, and it's grown so much all my old landmarks are GONE--but after finally finding it, employees directed me every step of the way as to where to go, what building/floor/etc. OMG! That NEVER happens @ the V.A. I was totally--no lie--slack jawed by the time I got to her office! EVERYONE was so FRIENDLY--and not put on--I mean genuinely friendly, helpful...as my leg HURTS and walking HURTS...so so many folks there offered to help..I am BLOWN AWAY. It is BY FAR, the BEST medical facility I have EVER been in--and after getting wounded, I've had 15 surgeries, multiple scars/shrapnel/debility...etc. I just am very impressed=PERIOD. He texted me needing a lift from Pali Momi Medical Center (PMMC) to his home just off Kinau Street. PMMC opened its doors in July 1989 and has been servicing Central and West Oahu. It was originally opened as Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi until rebranded as PMMC in 2010. They are conveniently located in Aiea just down the road from Pearlridge Shopping Center. It was my first time here and was impressed with the upkeep of the grounds. Because my friend just had a procedure to the day prior, a hospital staff wheeled him via wheelchair to the pickup/drop off area. I was amazed by the hospital's attention to patient's condition, consideration and service extended. Although the pickup was a fairly quick process, the setback I encountered was leaving. There were 2 parked cars in front of me and it didn't seem the cars would be leaving soon. Furthermore, the right hand lane was too narrow where I couldn't pass them. My only option was to back up and exit via the far left lane. Thank goodness there was no car behind me otherwise I would have been in a standstill. I was a patient there for 10 years seeing a wonderful G.I. doctor, but she left the practice . am extremely disappointed with my experience at Queens West Gastroenterology. I came to this clinic for help with serious GI issues and ultimately underwent gallbladder surgery. Unfortunately, I did not feel adequately informed or supported before or after the procedure. The most concerning issue was the lack of continuity of care. While I was still recovering from surgery and dealing with significant ongoing symptoms, I was left without a clear plan for follow-up GI care. A patient should not feel abandoned in the middle of recovery from a procedure that was initiated through this clinic. Communication was also a major problem. Important information was not clearly provided, expectations were not properly explained, and resolving concerns became unnecessarily difficult. Instead of feeling like I had a medical team working with me, I felt like I had to fight to be heard.

Many stayed because they like the Hawaii lifestyle but they know nothing about Aloha. I will never go back there again unless I am unconscious. I don't like hospitals and get anxious when I have to go, and they were so rude to me they turned it into a full blown panic attack. I tried to leave and they physically restrained me after I said these words "You do not have permission to touch my body." They violated my space in a big way, and that is illegal. You don't have a right to hold a patient down who does not want to be touched. I was already out the door at that point. You're lucky you didn't get sued. Then when I was sitting on a bench waiting for my husband, and meditating to calm myself down, they threatened to call security and HPD to remove me. I'm thinking go ahead, maybe they will give me a ride. Then they did send a humongous security guard who told me I was trespassing on private property and had to leave right that moment. WTF? I'm a little old lady who didn't want to be manhandled either. He was my son's age and was polite and just doing the job they told him to do. I don't blame him. It was those nurses that caused the whole incident from beginning to end. None of them could seem to realize that all I was ever trying to do was leave peacefully. I was in the ER for a reason. Did they expect me to walk home? This was all kinds of wrong. Castle has gone way downhill. P.S. There were witnesses.

I just can't make it to any of my doctor's appointments. The Handi Van is not going to work because there always late or don't have a van for me. On top of that i don't have any money. I blew my whole Social Security money on the first week. I'm an terrible money spender who can't save up money. Thank you.
