After waiting for over a month for insurance to approve a CT scan, I was finally able to schedule my scan to see if current medications I'm on is working. I'm a slightly harder IV stick but it's not like they don't ever get me. The primary person looks nervous and didn't want to attempt, they called another person who was decent in IV's and couldn't get it. They have no vein finders available. The guy tried several times but couldn't get me.Well unfortunately, they couldn't get me at the end. I have been here before and got a IV placement. Told me to call my dr. Well we are probably back to square one and more waiting for a scan. These places need to get some type of aid. Don't go there if you're slightly harder stuck because you will waste your time. read more

I had a CT scan and radiologist said my right adrenal was normal. I had surgery in April and have only a tiny sliver of the right adrenal left. My Doctor looked at the scan and said no way does the adrenal look normal. I now wonder if any of the reading is accurate. The CT Scan person was efficient I guess but seemed very unhappy. One person at front desk seemed like she was being imposed on doing her job. Techs are all great. Front desk team checks you in and out nicely. Im not sure what number patients are supposed to to call to schedule or ask a question. 7 years that this has gone on. So I drive in anytime I need to schedule or tell them to send my results to my doc. Probably understaffed but phone system is a huge issue. read more

These guys have gone to some system that doesn't allow them to communicate with patients like medical personal is supposed to. My doctor ordered two tests for me, got a call from HRA for appointment at that point I confirmed I was getting two scans. When I went there on time after driving 1 hour 45 minutes they sent me to take the first test and then when I was asking about the second one an older woman at the office while walking away from me said "paperwork was wrong and no CT operator, contact your doctor". I found that to be not acceptable. They should have called me and informed me that both test can't be taken and reschedule. Poor communication, poor service. read more

I know it's hard to believe an imaging center could be worthy of a low review. All medical provider service is kind of bad these days, and what could really be the issue with this one? But every single time I need imaging done here there is some issue which ends up taking weeks and weeks, and multiple phone calls to resolve. It's kind of crazy how bad they are. read more

Their telephones don't respond (they just keep ringing) , they lose physician referrals ( they'll send you to get a paper referral from your doctor), AND once you go back with your paper referral, the let you know that they can't do the X-ray because their machine had been broken for several weeks and they have no idea when the necessary part will arrive. If they don't have broken equipment, their other problem is that they don't have staff to operate it. They suggested going to the hospital emergency room!!!! I wish I had a choice, but they're the only radiology center in Kailua Kona. read more

This review is mainly of the cleanliness of the ct scan room at the Kona location. Pretty appalling. I was there at 10 a.m. The waste receptacle, which is the size of a large trash bin, was overflowing. The floor had big smears of something clear-ish on it - it was gross! The cabinets had smears on them too. It looked like the cleaning crew had not done anything in a long, long time. I will not go there again. Will go up to Queens' in Waimea next time. This place seems to be short-staffed in many areas. read more

This review is about the billing process. I had services in January of 2025. I received a bill in February 2025, which I paid. 2 different bills, so I wrote 2 different checks. Called by the off island billing , on February 26, 2025, demanding payment for one of the bills. I told them I had sent both checks out the same day, and one had been cashed. I was treated like I was a liar. I asked for a new bill to be sent, which I received today, March,6, 2025. The billing company continued to phone me asking for money. Today, March 6, 2025, my second check cleared the bank, so I guess, I am not a liar. Horrible customer service. read more

The worst customer service and I haven't even been seen! Called Tuesday at 3:45 and they said they were closed even though they claimed to be open until 4:30. Called Wednesday at 3:45 and recording said 2 minute wait. 30min later I hit # to leave a voice message per instructions only to fin d the mailbox was full. Called again, 1 minute wait time it said but then on hold for 40 minutes until I finally hung up. If you like to listen to the same recoding, twice a minute, for 80 minutes then these should be your radiologists. read more

Terrible customer service. They are VERY difficult to get a hold of, and they do not call you back when they say they will. Here's my experience with them: Week 1 - I am a cash pay patient, so I asked to get some price quotes on the procedures I was planning to have done. They said there weren't sure of the costs and would call me back. They never called me back. Week 2 - The procedures I wanted to get were time sensitive, and I needed to get them done within the next few weeks. I figured the cost wasn't important anymore, so I just decided to make the appointment. I called 10+ times, no answer. Sometimes a voicemail is offered, and sometimes it just says that the extension is not available then hangs up on you. I finally got a hold of them, and they said I could not make an appointment without a referral. They said once they received my referral, they would call me to make an appointment. I had my referral sent over, but they never called to follow up. Week 3 - I was getting nervous because my window for this procedure was closing. I called again. No answer, but this time I got a voicemail option. I left a message stressing the urgency of my timeline. When you first call them, an automated voice greets you and says if you leave a voicemail, you'll receive a callback within 24-48 hours. Well 48 hours later, no one had called me back. I called yet again, and amazingly was able to get through on my first call. The assistant put me on a 15 minute hold, then told me she could not make me an appointment because they did not actually do the procedure I was requesting. WTF?! Why couldn't you tell me that Week 1? So much time wasted with this company. Do not recommend. Long story short, I missed my time window and was not able to get anything done. read more

Ive always had good experience with the techs here however their radiologists misdiagnosed SEVERAL ailments in my MRI, xrays and ct scans. They half ass review the scans, cant imagine if someone had something life threatening. I went to three neurosurgeons all pointed out the several conditions these radiologists missed and then had spine surgery for movement in my spine was obvious even to me and I'm not a doctor. I went three years in severe pain till i got to my neurosurgeon because my "pain management" didn't believe i had anything wrong even though i couldn't walk. Unless your spine is severed they cant figure out intricate issues. Try going through queens. read more

If you have the option to go somewhere else, you might want to. The answering system is awful. I've been trying all day to make an ultrasound appointment but NOBODY answers the phone or calls you back. Once I thought they were answering, but the system hung up on me. Says wait time is 3 minutes, but then says extension not available and kicks you out of line. The WORST appointment making experience I've ever had. I don't have a car and can't walk across town just to make an appt. What the point in having a phone if your patients can't get through to you?!?!?! And with all these hormones and unnecessary stress from trying to make this appt I'm trying to remind myself that it isn't all fricken hopeless. Way to leave me hanging. I'm sooooo pissed right now and trying not to have a breakdown. As if anyone at this office even cares! read more

Hawaii Radiologic Associates in Kailua Kona, HI changed who does their billing, instead of using their own employees, they now use this company MBMS and I am not impressed at all. Their own employees did a great job. This change has only caused me grief. This company is located on the mainland. I have 2 claims this company has screwed up by not going thru my insurance company located in Honolulu. This company for Hawaii Radiologic chose to send my claims to the insurance company located in Colorado, yep, Colorado, WOW! Unfortunately, I think Hawaii Radiologic Associates is the only place for mammograms/x-rays on the Kona side of this island, maybe that's why one doesn't see any feedback from them about their reviews. I have gone to Hawaii Radiologic Associates for years and have always been extremely happy with their employees and services. Yesterday, was an exception. I was on time for my appointment which was for 1:30 pm. When i arrived, a young lady with "attitude" who was working reception sharply said, "You're late!" I said my appointment was for now-1:30. "No. That is your "bed" appointment. You were supposed to be here 15 minutes ago to fill out your paper work! Our time is valuable too!" - which she repeated at least 6 times. The waiting room was filled with people WAITING for their appointments. I have always waited patiently when there or at any clinic. Didn't matter that I hit bad traffic or that i had updated my paperwork the week before. She was extremely condescending and disrespectful and I told her that she should "soften" her approach a bit. She kept repeating that their time was valuable too and wouldn't listen to me. She needed me to be feel like I had purposely ignored their scheduling needs. I left without going to my appointment - which she encouraged me to do. Why was their time not important then? If they want you there at a certain time, no matter the reason, I suggest they schedule you for that time. My paperwork had been updated the week before when i was in. All she needed to do is look at the date I submitted it but no. I had to be chastised like a child. Respect for Kupuna or anyone? Reading the other reviews, I'm not alone. read more

The techs are great. Every time. End of positive story. I called last week to try and change a time for my MRI appointment for today and nobody ever called me back so I changed everything else around and came to the original time. When I arrived I was told that my appointment had been moved to three days later but nobody notified me of this change. I had cancelled another important appointment to keep this one and made a special trip in to find out that I did not have this appointment anymore. The front desk receptionist? They dont know anything else. All they have is the schedule. A real disconnect and I left feeling really badly. There used to be really good people on the front desk. Went for my appointment at 10 AM this morning. Got called back for my appointment at 10:30 half hour wait not to bad went in for my Imaging and the technician made me climb in the table without a stool to assist me. I had surgery on my leg two weeks ago and I needed to climb onto the table which was about 3 1/2 feet off of the ground. Did imaging needed to climb off of the table asked for assistance asked for stool but was not provided either. Ended up having to climb off the table on my own damaged my brace. No compassion for injured people. Thank goodness that I wasn't dying because I would be dead waiting for help from people who don't care. Very disappointed in the way I was treated. read more

So let me say the techs there ARE AWESOME!! I had an AMAZING experience with ultrasound tech Ila. She made the experience to be my best exam- ever. Kind, smart and friendly! The front staff on the other hand- maybe the front desk lady was having a bad day, but kind of rude. There was another lady who came in and the front desk lady was rude to her- loudly. The woman came in with not being able to schedule her appt (it took 2 weeks of phone tag for me). Thank you Ila for making my experience the best!! read more

They never answer the phone to get an appointment so I drove down to get one. I had paperwork from my doctor. They wanted my insurance information but apparently I didn't have my latest Medicare card. I ask to get an appointment and I will bring the card with me. The only way to get an appointment is to walk in so now I have to go get my latest card then drive back to get an appointment. This all started over a week ago an no appointment.
