She is personable and funny. It never felt awkward that we had cameras on us. They worked discretely-always ensuring that they were not intruding or blocking anyone's view. At one point, I saw Amber and Michael on the GROUND and I had no idea how long they have been filming there to make sure that they get all the shots they needed!! They're video ninjas with a purpose! They fit our budget and we liked their filming style based on the clips they posted on their website. We were most interested in their drone footage as well. This is a must since we wanted to capture how gorgeous Maui is. Jesse was our videographer. He showed up early and stayed late. Even though we only booked him for three hours, he stayed a little later to capture our sunset photos. We received our video clip in less than 8 weeks and couldn't be more pleased. Surrounded by family and friends, Andrew Barrera of Salty Trades Media captured not only the visual representation of our wedding, but all of the raw passion, support and sounds that accompanied it. Andrew was able to record over 7 hours of love on our big day and poetically composed a 7 minute cinema for us to enjoy, share and reminisce upon. I feel it's very important to note that Andrew of Salty Trades is NOT A VIDEOGRAPHER. Andrew is a CINEMATOGRAPHER. He will not just record your day, he will turn it into a movie fit for the big screen. The difference is in the way he captures the events and later edits them. The difference is in the passion and love he puts behind his art. Most wedding vendors see the event as a paycheck or a simple "money-maker" so to speak. But not Andrew. From the beginning, when we first found Andrew, he was so elated and excited to help us capture our big day. He was so helpful and answered every single one of our questions without dancing around it. He was super kind and friendly but also straight to the point when it came to answering our questions which made it easy to understand him. He took his time explaining each option that he had available to us and went in-depth about what the difference was between him and everybody else. Needless to say, we made the right decision. Andrew brought a personal touch to the entire wedding. He brought us into his home to record our vows in his PROFESSIONAL RECORDING STUDIO. This gave us the opportunity to recite our vows in a quiet place that would allow for "crisp and clear" audio for our cinema. His wife Sarah welcomed us with open arms and his dogs Lily and Charlie were the most loving little pups on island. He made us feel like family. He coached us through the entire recording process and made us feel comfortable so that we had very little to stress about (because if you're getting married, you already understand that you've got enough stress on your plate as it is) because he understands what it's like to be in our shoes. Andrew gave us peace of mind, which for newly weds, is all we want. But above all, He gave us the best cinema that we could have ever asked for. Our family, our friends, our coworkers, everyone that has ever taken them time to view it, have stated it's not just a video, "it's a movie". We've received so many texts and comments about how much they love it and how they cried while watching it, accompanied with crying emojis. It's a fairytale cinema that every bride and groom want. At the end of our trip on 5.30.18, Andrew again, asked us to stop by his house to check out our cinema. Please note that we were married on 5.23.19. Andrew completed our cinema in 6 days and he presented it to us on the 7th day. This meant he worked tirelessly through the days and nights to provide us with our movie. His hard work went above and beyond anything we could've ever asked for. He provided us with 7 hours of raw 4K footage, our full 25 minute ceremony in 4K(on a separate file), over 50 still-shots captured from the 4K footage (in separate files), our very own YouTube link that NEVER EXPIRES, a 60 second snippet for social media that then redirects to our YouTube link with a simple click, and explained that he would keep all of it himself on a personal hard drive so that in case we ever lost it, he would have it. As well as to pull still shots from at a later date should we choose to. Andrew provided us with the professionalism and quality cinema and was absolutely worth every dollar. He is not just a cinematographer. Andrew and his wife are now family to us both. We cannot emphasize enough how proud we are of his work. We've always wanted to get married in Maui but when most of the family is in Canada and USA…read moremainland, you have it locally. With a bit of regret not having done our vow renewal "formally" 5 years ago (FIL passed a few months later suddenly), we decided to do it for 15 years with our family being less grandpa but with a new addition, our 3 yo. Michael and his assistant were super friendly and easy to work with. He was helpful with restaurant recommendations around our site. We stayed in the Kaanapali area and most wedding/vow renewal services advertised were on the Kīhei side which would've taken 40+ minutes depending on traffic to get to and with 2 young kids, the drive back wouldn't have been fun (not to mention bedtime). Maui wedding adventures was able to meet us in Kapalua (one of our fave dive sites too). We dined at Merriman's and the food was delicious, as was the view. After dinner it was a short walk to the beach where we met Michael. We were able to choose from a list of musicians that could play while we had our ceremony. Marvin's music is just what we were looking for. He had many song choices with many of them being our favorites. His music really completed our ceremony. Michael's responses were prompt and he kept in contact by sending emails before we embarked on our trip to Maui and even sent a message the day we landed to welcome us! He also sent us messages on the day of to let us know what to look for. We got a sneak peek to our photos the next day and as he promised, the link to all the photos within 10 days. I asked him, "Are we gonna be ok?" Without hesitation he said "it's gonna be fine and you will have a beautiful wedding." Throughout the wedding, he showed excellent leadership skills by helping us stay organized, timely, calm, and focused on taking things in so we could cherish the moments but also allowing us time to mingle with our guests. It almost felt like Chris could have also been our wedding coordinator since he was so competent. Everyone just loved Chris because of his fun and vibrant personality.  CONCLUSION Chris delivered our photos faster than anticipated and I kid you not, we just loved every single shot; therefore, it's so hard to make our wedding album because we want ALL the photos in there.  Overall, his personality won us over, his talent made our wedding day fun, memorable, and timeless.
