The employee had a friend painting at the time and was more involved in her friend than helping us. After asking for assistance and were ignored again, my husband found a paper with instructions on how to make candles. My daughter went to grab a scent (behind a bunch of tiny wine glasses) and accidentally knocked over a glass. My husband cleaned majority of it up (what he could with his hands). The employee said nothing and vacuumed. When we were done, we had to ask for next steps. She heated the candles and put them in the table. I had to ask for a bag and for my bill. After taking, what I believe to be a long time, she informed me I had to pay for the broken glass. Listen, I am here to help and make things right, but this place will not survive on not helping, not responding and the charging for a simple accident.

I loved the color, the size, the dainty chain. I was able to try it on, and the only I didn't love is that it was a gold chain, as I strongly prefer rose gold over yellow gold. She didn't have any rose gold chains available so I didn't get it. I did start following her on Instagram and saw she posted the cutest beach-y soap dish ($32)! I had to have it, and went to their storefront in Kapa'a. After claiming my treasure I mentioned to Stuart that I had seen them in Koloa the other day and really liked necklace save the chain color. I still had not been able to find another sunrise shell I liked as much. He said that Reda could probably make the rose gold happen and ship it to me! I put down a $50 deposit and he set aside the specific shell for me. A couple weeks later it was ready. I paid the remaining $45 and she shipped it to me for free to Seattle. I love having little pieces of Kauai with me!

Well, we finally pulled the trigger on it and did the experience...and it was well worth it. Lance, the owner and instructor was fantastic. With only 8 spots available, you have to book this as soon as it is available. The shop is only 300 sq. Ft. So any more people would be too much and the set up was perfect. It is amazing this small space produces the chocolate! The overall lesson is great because he takes you from bean to chocolate. This is not tree to chocolate because he doesn't have the trees nor does he have the pods and that part of the collection process (however, Lance, if you or your wife are reading this, it might be a great future endeavor to have an option to work with one of your partners and add on the collection tour before!). While he doesn't have the collection process, Lance does an excellent job speaking to the process once beans are collected. From there, the chocolate making and tasting process is thoroughly explained and you are part of it. Finally, making your chocolate is a lot of fun and there are roughly 30 ingredients you can use for your 2 bars. I personally made: an Indian spice flavor chocolate for half a bar, coconut sea salt for second half, matcha coconut sea salt for 3rd half, and coffee bean sea salt for last). Bring your creativity!
