I call Full Air AC Repair to get Freon put in my unit. Justin came out for $110 and told me…read moreexactly what I already knew.... That my unit needed Freon. He said the Freon would cost about $750 and that I had a leak and needed stop leak and it would need to be changed to take a different kind of Freon because R22 is not available anymore. (It's available on Amazon). Anyways he quoted $2,000 to put Freon or $9,000 for a new unit. (I'm like I could get a couple of window units for cheape.) I asked him to put a duct back on that the water heater guys knocked off and he told me that he didn't have any supplies on the truck. After he left, I thought that I would consider putting Freon in myself. I went out to look at the unit and I heard a hissing sound coming from a valve. I took a video and sent it to him and asked about it. He said he could've hear anything. (The Freon that was in my unit was being drained!) I called someone else and they came out and put a new valve stem, reattached my duct, filled the unit with nitrogen to see if it would hold, then recharged my unit with 6lbs of Freon for $460. I highly recommended that everyone look elsewhere for their hvac needs. I saw these great reviews and thought I was getting some honest help. Nope!

I absolutely recommend Bentley's without any reservation. We first used them for twice-yearly…read moremaintenance for 4-5 years due to having very old heat and A/C systems. They give great service, often the same-day or next-day, and were very knowledgeable and honest with me about keeping my systems operable as long as possible. When we finally decided to replace them, we got multiple quotes, of course. Bentley's cost was the lowest, and one of "the bigs" in town had their lowest quote literally twice what Bentley's was! That said, they had priced in replacing all ductwork which I didn't ask for - this really felt like a ripoff attempt, so I chose not to pursue further quotes from them. Bentley got the job done in one day, including replacing just the ductwork for the returns, and cutting two new returns. Our new systems work great and are much more efficient than the old ones. We hired them back again this winter to resume twice-yearly maintenance, and they quickly fixed a little rattle we had noticed. I was also pleasantly surprised that the annual maintenance cost had not been increased, unlike just about every other price around us these days. A native Greenvillian friend had recommended this company to me, and after working with them, I know why, and I recommend them too. Definitely worth at least getting a quote from them. Very honest, very good at the work, reasonably priced, just all around a great experience. It's so refreshing to have a vendor you can rely on.

As of today, we were forced to install an entirely new HVAC unit to replace the one we purchased…read moreonly 15 months ago from Energy Sharks. The original unit we were sold is no longer manufactured with replacement parts available. After waiting extensively for a resolution, we ultimately had no choice but to move forward with purchasing a new unit - this time the correct size. During this process, we also learned that the explanations previously given to us, by Energy Sharks ,that the problems were due to using the wrong filters, that the system was filthy, and that nothing could be done - were false. The new installer worked directly with York to help us secure another unit, but we still incurred an additional cost of $6,200 for installation. In total, within just 16 months, we have spent over $15,000 to have a functional HVAC system - double what the actual cost should have been. My concern remains that others may be misled or treated as poorly as we have been, and I do not want additional consumers to experience the same level of frustration and financial burden. I would encourage everyone to just look through the recent reviews to see how bad this company has become. New ownership came with horrible people.
