Update: I've been riding with Bethany for over four years now, and I truly cannot say enough…read morewonderful things about her and her training program. Bethany is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in both horse and rider development. Her teaching style is always positive and encouraging, creating an environment that is supportive, fun and motivating to learn in. She is also a talented rider, and her expertise shows in every training ride she does with my horse. I can immediately feel the improvement in my own rides afterward. Most importantly, Bethany always prioritizes the wellbeing and happiness of her horses while still helping riders achieve their goals--whether serious competitors or those who simply ride for enjoyment. My horse has also had some serious health setbacks recently, but Bethany has never given up on us. Her advice, training techniques, and thoughtful approach throughout this process have meant so much to me. I'm incredibly grateful to train with someone who combines such skill, kindness and true horsemanship, and I highly recommend working with Bethany!

What sets Bethany apart is how much she genuinely cares for both sides of the partnership. She's invested in her students' progress and the well-being of both horse and rider, always putting their needs first. Her eye for detail, patience, and encouragement creates an environment where you feel supported but also challenged in the best way! Bethany truly embodies the saying that "the best partnerships don't always needs use words to communicate". She helps each of her students to feel every movement underneath them, and then guiding you to respond in a way that makes sense to both horse and rider! If you're looking for a trainer who will truly help you grow as a rider while deepening your relationship with your horse, or ever have the opportunity to take a clinic with her, I could not recommend Bethany enough!

Suncatcher Farm is located approximately 3.3 miles from where Washington Street at Howard turns into Bodega Ave (or 1 mile from Thompson Lane). They have a decent size covered farm stand so you are protected from the elements if it's raining, windy, etc. They farm 10 acres of land for their farm stand, and they are Certified Organic by CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers which is a U.S. Department of Agriculture accredited organic certifying agency and trad e association.). All of their produce are nicely laid out with signage for each one listing what they are and prices. They have a large variety of produce, a scale for weighing if it's by the pound, bags so you can take your treasures home and it's all on the honor system. They have a board with all the ways to pay along with the info you need to do so (Venmo, cash & check). To keep up on the days and hours they are open, it is best to check out their Instagram page (@suncatcher_farm) and Facebook page (@suncatcherpetaluma) for days and times they are open as they do weekly updates. Currently they are open Monday through Saturday 11am to 5pm, and closed on Sunday's. However, they sometimes post that they will be open so keep an eye out on their Instagram and Facebook page. This is one of my two favorite farm stands in Petaluma and I love buying fresh produce from local farmers!

I fell in love with this honor farmstand, it's so cute. The issue is I bought a bunch of potatoes…read moreand I cooked them up and they are SO bitter. The kind of bitter I had taking over my mouth for half a day even after brushing and rinsing my mouth and eating. This happens when potatoes are exposed to light or extreme heat or cold, it's poisonous actually. I had to throw them all away. They had a few goods made by locals which were cute and some other produce that looked good I bought, but tbh I got scared to eat it after the issues with the potatoes. I like the set up and farmstand a lot, but they need to quality control a bit more.

I saw the other review was 10 years ago, so I will post my thoughts…read more I have been vegetarian for past 50 of my 76 years, but I do eat eggs, and dairy...and honey, and insects that cling to my produce if I don't see them. I am very happy with the quality of PETALUMA FARMS Jumbo grade A eggs that I get from my local WINCO store here in Chico. Many are double yoked, and although the shells are very thin, the eggs themselves arrive clean, and in a cardboard, not plastic container. YES! on all those things from the start. I believe they subscribe to all the laws we have in California to protect Chickens. If the chickens do not wander outside, that outside is still available to them. I Google mapped the "Farm" (Plant), OVERHEAD "SPY" view.. and it didnt seem to be a dairy farm set up with a mile of green grass around the many many large chicken houses, but they are not sold as "Free Range". I know people who have resident chickens as house pets..they seem to do just great..chickens and friends inside their houses. I give Petaluma 5 stars, not because they are rescuing chickens and letting them live great lives in their older years, but because, I believe they are providing high quality food, at affordable prices while abiding with our very progressive poultry laws. Now, about those TRIPPLE YOKERS YOU ARE WORKING ON... Wayne Pierce...Durham, Calif 80 miles away from Petaluma..

Not necessarily, according to an eye-opening investigation by the Cornucopia Institute. Many so-called organic egg operations are just as grimly crowded as factory farms, and although the USDA requires outdoor access for laying hens whose eggs are labeled organic, Cornucopia found that at many farms, "outdoors" often consists of nothing more than a tiny concrete screen porch adjoining the tenement-like henhouse. Some of the organic egg producers even signed a letter to the National Organic Standards Board opposing the outdoor access rule." Apparently Petaluma Farms wasn't quite as two-faced as to actually sign the letter - but that's the best that can be said here.
