There was a medical emergency that day so the tour was different than usual, but we had fun feeding and brushing cows, horses, goats, guinea pigs. My kids had a blast! Pros: - love what they are doing by taking in animals when their owners need help with caring for them - fairly affordable, group tour was $100 - they provided lots of carrots and lettuce for the animals! I came here to celebrate my anniversary with my partner and we had an incredible time. We got to pet and feed a wide variety of animals and best of all, the animals aren't forced to interact with you. This ensures a positive experience for both parties and prevents overstimulation. During the tour, the animals are placed in a smaller pens so they can come up to interact but even then, there's plenty of room for them to choose not to come up. After the tours, the larger animals have access to larger acres of land to roam and run. Our guides are knowledgeable and great at interacting with guests of all ages. They ensured everyone had a safe, fun, and educational time. The tour brings you into one full loop and ends at the parking lot which is pretty convenient. Farm tour with cute rescued animals. We had a private booking for a bachelorette party in the morning and everything ran smoothly. Chelsea and Jody were spectacular and so helpful. I really liked feeding the guinea pigs as well as the pigs. The goats were a bit aggressive but they adhere to the philosophy of the squeaky wheel getting the grease, so I appreciate that. They had llamas, emus, cows, horses, and ponies to feed as well. We spent a couple hours there; wear close toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting a bit smelly (it's a farm after all). We recently visited American Made Miniatures, and it was honestly one of the most memorable experiences we've had in a long time. The tour was not only fun but incredibly informative. If you have not been before to this Sanctuary before, I have to recommend 200X over!! Such a beautiful sanctuary with large variety off different animals to visit with. Horses, Cows, Alpacas. llama, pigs, sheep, guinea pigs, goats, even a camel and hedgehog. Best of all is Jodi the owner and wonderful and Amazing staff. This week, our family of 10 celebrated our daughter's 13th birthday with a visit to American Made Miniatures Farm Sanctuary. Our kids love animals and have been to several farms, but this was definitely one of their favorite experiences ever! Jodi and her son, Jake, were the perfect hosts and were well-prepared for our group tour. We got to interact with and feed so many animals, including guinea pigs, a rabbit, miniature horses, a zorse (part horse/part zebra), pigs, ponies, horses, a zonkey, a zebra, cows, goats, sheep, alpacas, and even a hedgehog! I would given it zero stars if possible. I had been in contact with the owner Jodi since the beginning of December. We emailed about hours, reservations , pricing, etc. we had the date set for Saturday December 27 @11am. We drove an hour to go on Saturday and it was closed. CLOSED!! They don't answer their phone, respond to email, or answer a text in a timely manner. So we drove back home disappointed. The business very unorganized and not honest. It was a total BUST! We have tried to visit once prior to Yelps Discover Petaluma event but didn't know that you needed a reservation or where exactly it was located. We drove by and didn't see any signs and ended up driving all the way down the road. So for anyone interested in visiting, text their business number, email, or direct message their Facebook page to reserve a time for your visit. Also, it's the first driveway when you turn onto the street. Please learn from my mistake! We were able to park on the gravel parking lot in front of the farm and was greeted by Jodi. She was super friendly and welcoming to my family and the group that we toured with. We waited in a main open space with chickens running around and it was fun to see all the animals frolic around. We were able to pet, feed so many animals and were never rushed throughout our visit. The caregivers here are amazing and you can tell their hearts are in with these animals. Amazing experience! Took the family to celebrate our girls 9th birthday. Our princess is obsessed with animals, specially horses. The fact that you can feed so many different animals from pigs to horses to llamas, it makes this great adventure worthwhile. It's a ranch location in north Petaluma, very rural feel because they have a huge variety of different animals (we saw guinea pigs, rabbits, hedgehog, chickens, tiny horses, sheep, llama, alpaca, donkey, zonkey, mule, cows, horses, zorse, pigs, goats, emus, camel, and even some fish and turtles) Very friendly and casual experience, just used text messages to reserve and coordinate; we were prepared and enjoyed fur, dust, and all the messy parts of real creatures during the experience (yes tiny horses love to be brushed!). Here's are our story: We have had guinea pigs for over ten years, a few pairs started out as classroom pets, but then during either winter or summer breaks, the guineas came home and became part of the family. This year, a family member developed severe allergies and breathing problems, and through testing, discovered an allergy to guinea pigs. We had to re-home all three of our current guineas, with two younger ones going to a local family. Our third guinea Sunshine left home, to start her next chapter at the Sanctuary. Sunshine is about five years old, an elderly guinea. Jodi welcomed and introduced Sunshine into the all-female herd at her Sanctuary. There is a herd of about 20 females, kept separate from the boys and rabbits enclosure. The females enjoy a large "bedroom"-sized enclosure, with clean fresh bedding, lots of toys and hidey/sleeping spaces, plus open space to frolic and socialize together. It is an absolute joy to see the herd of guineas enjoy their space, occasionally whistling and expressing their joy in a safe community. Our guinea-whisperer Jodi is amazing with her animals: providing love, attention, and assessing each furry child for activities, challenges, day-to-day guardianship. Jodi is one of the most compassionate people you will ever meet. She is super knowledgeable about animals, gained through hands-on experience tending to all the animals at her sanctuary and farm. It's tough work, with lots of duties and responsibilities. On first meeting, you'll meet a cool, down-to-earth animal guardian who clearly loves her life's work. Today we three (Nana, Mom, and toddler) had a fabulous, fun time at American Made Miniatures Farm Sanctuary in Petaluma, CA. It's obvious that these farm animals and exotics are well taken care of and loved by Jodi and her family. During our meandering farm tour, we and our toddler got to pet and feed guinea pigs, sheep, goats, mini pigs, miniature horses, an alpaca, and an enormous Scottish cow with long hair. We all smiled and laughed so much. Yes, there was even a zebra (and a zonkey) in a corral. Jodi made sure we had plenty of fresh romaine lettuce for the dozens of guinea pigs (most of them let us pet them), and she kept refilling our cups of carrots for the bigger animals. We were even given bird/duck food to toss to the lucky fowl who got to call AMMFS their home. Great photo opportunities, too! This is truly a treasure of Marin County. 6 Yelp stars ******! read more

Wonderful experience! After our initial reservation at another farm was canceled unexpectedly, I reached out to Jodi and she was able to accommodate our small family on the same day. She responded quickly and provided details of the tour. The entire process was smooth. The tour was brief and just the right amount of time. When my two boys would start acting fussy (1 year old and 2 year old) Jodi would move on to the next activity quickly catching their attention. It was great to see all the time and care Jodi and her family put into taking care of all the animals. I'm glad the farm I initially picked canceled, this tour turned out to be much better! We came on a rainy cold day and still had a great time. Staff are so kind and don't talk down to kids, they meet them where they are at. We got to see, feed, touch and learn about many animals. It's not hard to find if you follow the online directions. It's a wonderful experience for older and younger kids. Maybe not toddlers because it's a farm and all the animals aren't domesticated. Go! This place is amazing! It is the real deal, with dirt and dust and sweet animals as well as a few grumpy ones. The people running it are kind and generous and funny. This is a non profit animal sanctuary and they get animals from all types of situations. It is a labor of love! If you are an animal lover and like to see them happy and taken care of, this is a place for you. Kids? Grandkids? They need to see these animals!
