Horseback riding lessons are always fun, she's super knowledgeable, friendly and the barn has such a welcoming, positive atmosphere for everyone.

She Then allowed the horse owner to call and refuse to refund her deposit! We both heard Tiana say it was refundable. A vet check wasn't even discussed until after this statement. Very unprofessional because Tiana was representing the horse, not the owner. Legally the deposit should be returned. My friend changed her mind with in a 20 hour period. This trainer was also Riding in tennis shoes. Not impressive or a good example to her students. She was rude & abrasive to my friend which was totally unacceptable.

I would say that her tolerance for difficult horses is much greater than for difficult people. My experience is one of our twelve year old going on her fourth year riding with Tiana. Our daughter cannot think about doing anything other than being at LisRobin Barn all weekend, every weekend with Tiana, the horses and a great group of girl pals that share the love of horses and each other. We appreciate the passion, responsibility culture and knowledge that Tiana brings to her girls. The girls learn how to WORK, how to show respect the ol' Virginny way and what it means to love and care for an animal. I'm a total noob and all the boarders and the owner Michelle do everything they can to show me the ropes. Michelle is one of the most friendly and accommodating people I've ever met. Her cheerful attitude makes my day. I'm still letting Beau settle in so I haven't ridden him yet, but everyone raves about the trails. PBR is backed up to Indian Valley and Ignacio Valley preserves and has direct entrances from the ranch. No trailering needed! Good for someone like me with a Hyundai. I'm happy with my portion of the tack room, and Michelle offered to put up another saddle rack for me. She also offered to fix the mats in Beau's stall, as they're wonky and make it difficult to clean. This is not a show barn, so the atmosphere is very relaxed. There are not trainers on site, so you would need to arrange for one to travel to PBR. I've been told there is a dressage trainer down the street, but I'm not sure if they travel for lessons. There is a large arena and large round pen for turn out. No pastures.

Can't really hike this from the main road anymore, because they closed the parking area. So you have to drive to the back of the trail which is inside the hiddenbrooke community itself. Edit 6/12/2018: the trail is fairly overgrown and not maintained at this point. The trail is still hikeable, however you will be walking through tall dry grass and weeds for most of the trail. My legs got scratched up a bit. Spotted a snake wondering across the trail this time as well. Snakes are hard to see as the overgrowth obscures them fairly well. The first few hundred yards is cracked dry dirt that makes it easy to roll an ankle. I'm surprised this trail is this overgrown and not maintained given the money that is in that community. The trail is labeled at the trailhead. It is good for biking, horseback riding, and hiking. No dogs are allowed, however you will find nothing but dog shit on the main entryway for a good mile before it stops. The trail runs along some hills with constant incline and declines. However, it isn't all too difficult to hike. Half way through you will pass through a cattle walkway and enter the cow shit zone. There are patties everywhere. And you'll likely wander around some cows, but they scatter at first sight of you. The trail is clear for wearing shorts, however the ground isn't very flat as it is ravaged by cows on a daily basis.

There are some bushes that veer into the trail but it's not out of control, you can just work your way around it. Beware of dog poop, seems like no one picks up after their dog, EVER. It's a good trail to hike before work just as the sun is rising. It's short enough but still gives you a good cardio workout. I'll be back to finish the hike in it's entirety,

Every Saturday, upwards of 60 volunteers show up to tack up the horses and take folks on horseback. Amazing! And it's completely funded by private donations from regular folks mostly. AND the rides are free for the kids and adults who benefit greatly from the challenge of riding a horse. Nothing compares to seeing how happy and totally independent these rides make the riders feel. If you have the chance, check it out. Or better still, consider donating your time/energy/love/money to this organization. The work they do is truly inspiring.
