I purchased a Hayden home in Caldwell Idaho in March 2018. I've had numerous defects which were covered under warranty. Response to complaints were responded to and handled very quickly. One major complaint has yet to be handled. The warranty service representative was shown major rippling of the carpet in our master bedroom. He advised that the carpet installer would contact us. That was 2 weeks ago. I will be contacting Hayden regarding this. This carpet issue is not normal for carpet installation. I have never seen a carpet ripple so badly in previous rentals and home purchases. I believe it is the quality of the carpet. I would like Hayden to replace it with their upgraded type. Unsure if this will be satisfactory has I was told the upgraded type is not very high quality. My home warranty expires in March 2019. I purchased my home with carpet that I believed would be of value. I can't be left with this unresolved! Another request has not been responded to in the way that I would like. We have had heavy flooding in our backyard due to problem neighbors and rain storms. All my efforts with neighbors have availed me no advantage. I have asked Hayden for extra dirt to fill my backyard since so much construction has been going on. Warranty department has advised the backyard is filled per code. I asked a Hayden production manager for help and he advised that he would. He never called and never responded to my messages. I recently found that this manager was temporary. I've recently planted 2 new trees and fear they will die with so much water. Will Hayden still help?? I just found out that it would cost me over $500.00 for dirt and delivery fees. Hayden Homes, in my experience, is really as good as it gets. We've had three experiences with them and each one was a positive experience. We bought our first Hayden Home when we moved here 5 years ago, and it was the perfect home for us in a great neighborhood. Then we designed our own home and Simplicity built it on our lot. That home is the house of our DREAMS. The team made the process fun and exciting. They helped us with everything and still continue to and we've been in the house for over a year. We recently bought our 3rd Hayden Home as a rental. I'm positive it will be a great investment and a nice home for all that rent from us. Simply put, Hayden Homes has made our home experiences in Bend delightful and to top it off, they build my forever home and I LOVE it! read more

Update 8/3/18: Hayden contacted us after I posted my low yelp rating as a result of construction issues. They appear to be sincerely trying to improve their image with better followup on construction issues created by their subcontractors. They are now telling us that people should contact them if they have original construction issues even after the warranty period. Unfortunately that information came well after dealing with it ourselves, after our insurance company said it wasn't covered by them. Even so, Hayden is now willing to share the cost of the repairs, after we showed them careful documentation of the costs. I am upping my review of them a couple of stars. Hayden says they could have covered it more thoroughly if we had contacted them sooner in the process so that they could go after the subcontractors. We do love our neighborhood and have no regrets for buying at this location at the Hayden price point that fit our budget. When we spotted a mushroom growing from the edge of the floor outside of the shower, I knew we were in trouble. And that is with taking extreme care to make sure we saw no water splashing outside of the shower. After getting a company to tear the soggy corner and parts of the shower apart, we discovered the installation of the shower doors was defective, and the general construction of the walls, tiling and installation was just done well enough to get past the one year warranty. We are now having to tear out the tiling, the wall, the flooring, replace and reinstall the shower door. Even keeping it to basics, it cost us $6000 in our less than 3 year old house. It would not have cost much more for Hayden to do it correctly, and we did pay a premium for the tile shower upgrade. My contractor brother-in-law visited from California after the tear down and looked at it and was shocked. He said it would be completely illegal in California and would be grounds for a lawsuit. About 4 years after my home closed, the carpets developed large wrinkles. If not for that, it would still look pretty good. If you are buying a Hayden home and are thinking of getting carpet, you may want to upgrade the carpet, or go with hardwood floors. read more

I am a carpenter and welder. My sister had a Hayden home built just around two years ago. This last winter she noticed that water was leaking in from the roof above her master bedroom on the first floor and a few places in her garage. The ceiling literally fell and she was able to see a hole directly to the outside. I came in and repaired the wall and a friend came in to patch up the roof. She just called to let me know she has yet another leak in her roof. This makes 4 total. We have called Hayden homes but they refuse to help stating that it is outside their year warranty. She has tried working with her insurance company but they insist the builder is at fault and should pay for it. This hasn't been fun. I would say if Hayden Homes actually responded to our emails or our calls and acted just a little concerned it might change my opinion of them, but they have been nearly impossible to get a hold of, and impossible to work with. I just contracted with CBH to build a home, Hayden is a joke. read more

Can I give less than one star? At time of purchase we were plagued with issues. From landscape to poor measurements on the windows. Had to purchase custom sized shades to fit the poor construction. Low bid doesn't describe the talent of the builders. The bathroom fixtures fall of the walls. Now, two years after moving in we are still discovering how little of our purchase price was actually spent on the build. The paint, yes paint, it wearing off and pealing from the, so called, high quality toilet seats. Paint! I recommend you purchase from a different developer. Hayden-Homes is the worst home buying experience in my life. If you are not familiar with the way purchasing a home with them works, you make an offer and after the offer is accepted you make "upgrades" and choices for the fit out of the house. A lot of the upgrades should be things that are included with any house. The upgrade list includes the prices of the upgrades as well. So, you might make a lot of your purchasing decisions based on pricing out those upgrades. Well, every upgrade you want has mysteriously gone up in price since the offer was accepted, or the upgrade list they gave you is "out of date" and never updated. Their deceptive bait and switch pricing practices are not even the worst part; their work quality is atrocious. If I did not stop by my property every single day to check on the work it would have been a disaster. They framed in the master closet, added extra doors where none should be, left out whole closets. I paid extra for a gas stub and it was placed in the wrong location. They damaged the master bath and are being very difficult about repairing or fixing it. Their project managers seem clueless; they do not know what is going, who is doing what work, or even what they are supposed to be doing. They move at the speed of molasses as well. My house, which was supposed to be completed in December of 2017 is not looking like it will be finished until late Spring. Really, the whole thing is so poorly done it prompted me to write my first ever Yelp review. I shudder to think how many mistakes and errors are to come. read more

Hayden Homes has been amazing for my family. We have lived in a couple Hayden Homes and we have built a few for investment purposes. They have an amazingly streamlined process to get from design time to moving in. Their follow up service is incredible as well. With the one year warranty, we have always had impeccable service when it comes to repairing even the smallest of items. The most amazing thing we have discovered in every Hayden Home is the instant equity we have seen from day 1. My wife and I purchased a home in Spokane and as the second owner of the home did not know who the builder was until after the purchase. What a mistake! Coming from a state that has very strict building codes, WA state does not even compare. Not only are the building codes lax, but it provides an open door for low cost builders to cut even more corners. Hayden Homes is definitely one of those builders. Experiences from the first 3 months in our home: 1) No cable connections in any Bedrooms 2) Incandescent low wattage lighting throughout. Had to replace with LED so we could see. 3) No gas connection in the kitchen. Reduction in pipe sizing to save costs, resulted in a limit of the number of connections allowed in the home. There was a gas connection in the laundry room? so to gain a connection in the kitchen we had to disconnect the laundry gas line! 4) Concrete work on sidewalks and driveway flaking with extreme temperature changes. Primarily due to poor workmanship and incorrect concrete mix for climate. Not to mention floating too late in the drying process leaving a thin top coat of concrete not able to withstand temperatures. 5) Did not discover that there was NO UNDERLAYMENT over the Subfloor until we wanted to replace the cheep Nylon Carpet. Not even a vapor barrier between the subfloor and the carpet pad! No wonder there is a 6" layer of cold air at the floor when outdoor temperatures hit 9 degrees! 6) Every window has a cold draft which was not discovered until the temperature dropped. 7) Inexpensive exterior doors that were improperly hung, leaving gaps where the cold air streams in! While this is my first winter in the home I am budgeting for new doors that are hung correctly and have the proper insulation and weather stripping to eliminate drafts. 8) Every gutter leaks between the fascia and the gutter, as wells as at every 45 degree connection due to improper installation and calking. The metal flashing was installed over the Ice Dam material which allows any water wicking under the shakes to run under the flashing to the roof deck and fascia. Another budget item to correct the roofing and replace the gutters! If you are considering a Hayden Home, DO YOUR RESEARCH and know what you are getting into. Be sure to leave yourself a budget to correct items that should have been done during construction! read more

We have built three new homes now and have never had the experience we had with Hayden Homes. They were cooperative, informative and welcoming on every part of the build. Their design the Hudson is so well thought out. I am told they really listen to the input of their clients to make each new design even better. Donnie from Hayden was always letting us know how our house was going with emails, videos and of course walk throughs whenever we asked! Travis the foreman was full of information on our walk through and followed up with every thought and question we had. Shea from warranty is very easy to work with and matters solved in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Hayden Homes and believe me we are picky!! read more

One of the most shady and unorganized companies I have ever dealt with. I bought in a development which later they decided to implement an HOA because they messed up and never was charging for it even though our sales contract had no mention of it. Our neighbors that bought (had not moved in yet), there house flooded due to a poor plumber contractor and ruined the cabinets and all the floors. They attempted to cover it up and "fix" it before they found out. The only way they did find out is the neighbors told them. They pay and treat their contractors poorly and that shows through on the end product. I would recommend passing if you are thinking of buying a Hayden home. Worst home buying experience I ever had. The worst home ever built they have been here to fix problems so many times they feel like a room mate. The head warranty guy has the worst customer service skills and lie's all the time to hide there screw ups. Don't ever buy a Hayden Home they are junk and built to last 1 month after they build it. The warranty dept. has ZERO clue to what they are doing and they also screw the problem up worse. I feel sorry for anyone who bought a Hayden Home. All there subs have nothing good to say about Hayden they talk about how they don't get paid and it cost them money to do home repairs so they don't do them or don't like to show up. I think everyone that has a bad home (which is almost all of them) should get together and file class action lawsuit. Then Mr. Hayden might build a real home. I wish there was a way to warn the public of there homes before they buy them. Maybe some sign holders out front of there new projects!! I would pay for that. Talked to Hayden Homes agent picked out lot, went back in with my wife to show it to her waiting for it to open for sale and to put our down payment I was then told property no longer available as an employee decided she wanted it we had had it for several weeks I had been going on for weeks talking to the agent I think it's a disgrace and the company Hayden homes totally lacks integrity. Sharing our experience here in case it's helpful for other homebuyers. We met with the Maple Meadows real estate broker the first weekend of February about building a Middleton floor plan. At that meeting, we were told that there were two lots available for Middleton homes. These lots were small and backed up to land that was sold by Hayden Homes to a company that would be building multi-family housing. The broker told us a "new phase" would be opening up soon if we were interested in waiting. She said they would not be able to lock in the base price until a contract was signed, which we understood. We had been monitoring price increases on their website and they had been very gradual and consistent, so we weren't concerned about being priced out. We felt better about the lots in the new phase, so we decided to wait. We met with them again shortly after that first meeting to pick out our upgrades and colors so that when the lot became available, the process would move quickly. Weeks went by, and the prices were slowly increasing every two weeks or so. We called a few times to check in and were told the phase would be opening up soon, so we hung in there. After a few weeks, we finally received calls from three different representatives of Hayden Homes saying the phase was opening and to confirm that we were still on-board. We were. Several days went by again without any communication. We called and were told that Hayden Homes had suddenly decided to require a 3-car garage upgrade (added cost of ~$12,000) on all Middleton homes in this new phase. This was never presented as a possibility to us, and it was not an upgrade we had budgeted for or even wanted. We asked the broker to petition this requirement, which she did, twice. After another week, she called and told us that they had decided to allow a 2-car garage Middleton on a lot, but that the lot was not officially available so we could not sign a contract to lock in the price. At this point, the base price had already increased about $15,000 from the time we had joined the interest list in January and we were reaching the upper limit of our budget. Then, overnight, the base price of the homes jumped an additional $9,000. There had never been a jump anywhere near this large in the three months we had been regularly monitoring prices, and we could no longer afford the Middleton floor plan in the new phase. We were very frustrated and disappointed but decided to inquire about the lots backing up to the multi-family housing. We were told that those lots had also increased $9,000. Their website listed the lower price, but they would not honor that price when we asked. While we could've afforded this home, we decided not to support a business that we felt had not been transparent through this process. We walked away from Hayden Homes feeling incredibly defeated. We know they have every right to increase the prices, but a lack of transparency coupled with arbitrary requirements for expensive upgrades doomed what could have been an otherwise smooth process. On the bright side, we did not lose any money to Hayden Homes, and we have since had a very positive experience with a different builder in the area. read more

garbage houses bid to the lowest contractors. They don't even flash their roofs so they will rot shortly after you buy them. Also the floors are creaky and bounce. We already bought it but you don't have to be fooled. They are criminals and shouldn't be running a business. The concrete in our driveway was looted in the rain and is dimpled and flaking. My wife and I are very happy with our house. We are not happy with a yard on a side of a hill which Ed Stevenson told us we would have a flat yard and lied to us. We have a swimming pool in the front between the sidewalk and street that will never be fixed but it's our responsibility to maintain it, anybody ever try to mow water. Also the most important thing is they have the worst customer service and communication I have ever witnessed it's truly pathetic how they handle things in Rathdrum at Corbin Crossing we wish we would of bought a Viking home. read more

We bought our Hayden Home in July of 2016. Since then we have had repeated issues with quality. First the people who installed our AC until did not glue the condensation line at the elbow joint and all of that condensation leaked down our front wall. They did fix this issue fairly fast and rip apart the wall, dry it out and replace the wet insulation. This is why I give them two stars. We had been in the house two months. It was downhill from there. Took over five months to get the proper fridge that we paid for, wrong color and model, notated this on the walk through. Next, our yard started retaining water. We brought it to their attention in November of 2017, they tried to say it was a leak coming from another house, then we were watering the yard too much. (Insert eye roll here) I didn't water that yard for six months and after it rained there was a huge pond. After sending in pictures and explaining I was worried about the integrity of the home and water getting into the crawl space they finally installed a single french drain. We still have a drainage problem. Tons of cosmetic issues. My front door is not square with the walls. We had a random hole above the cabinets that we missed on walk through because I only saw it while on a ladder. The phone line cable wasn't even attached to the port, meaning we had wires just hanging behind the wall. Kitchen titles have popped off the wall, not sure why. The caulking and grout they use must be the cheapest stuff on the planet because it cracked after a few months. The edge of the banister leading to the stairs is not level, this is obvious to the naked eye not sure how they missed that. I had to have the carpets stretched because when they install them they don't even though its part of the instillation process. Overall I like the home design but Hayden Homes doesn't care about quality. They care about profits. read more

My wife and I moved into our Hayden Home in December of 2019 and we absolutely love it. The whole process is an adventure and it's thrilling to be able to watch all of the selections you've picked come to life. One of the absolute best parts of the process, and the end result, is the team that Hayden Homes employs to take care of any challenge that comes up along the way, or afterward. Hayden's employees truly care about their clients and we were treated like family. We bought a Talent floorplan in the Redmond community of Maple Meadows. The house is wonderful as it boasts an open, spacious floorplan downstairs which is great for entertaining or watching the tube while you're in the kitchen cooking. All of the bedrooms are upstairs, along with the laundry room and an office. We chose all of the available window options on the home, which truly made the house "light and bright," and I'm glad we went that route as it was a nice change of pace from the dark cave we lived in previously (not a Hayden home). There were a couple minor issues with our home that were discovered right before we moved in, and right after...all of which were taken care of as soon as possible, with no headaches. The Hayden warranty team is top-notch, and the actual home warranty is great. We really couldn't be happier with our experience, and would absolutely recommended Hayden Homes to anyone looking for a GREAT home! read more

The landscaping is a rotten mess in our backyard. We moved here in August and it was a swamp even though we stopped watering at the end of August. One clown came out and said it was some of a crane fly infestation but our gardner told us it was because the the grass wasnot properlyinstalled, and the clay soil that the grass was grown in does not drain. Our gardner took soil samples to have examined and there are no crane fly eggs. My dogs don't even like to go out in the backyard because it's swampy and it's been sinking since we moved in. I also heard that Heyden has already replaced lawns at 5 other locations on our street, Argon. Replacing the swamp in the backyard is what needs to be done, there is no drainage whatsoever and it's sinking.The cabinetry is pretty cheap, no roll-out drawers in the kitchen. If I had had more time to find a place, I would not have purchased here. I would not recommend these homes to anyone. For what we paid, not worth the hassle of having their warranty folks keep coming out and not doing anything to rectify the swamp in my backyard. read more

Beyond frustrated with the poor communication and customer service. I bought my first home at 21 last spring. We were assured by Whitney and Hayden Homes staff that our KID bill would be paid for by them, so we gave them our bill and never heard anything else on it. Come to find out they never paid the bill they said they would, and now I have a $1000 bill for my irrigation (last years, this years, and all the late charges). I went to the model home and expressed my concerns to the gal working at the time, and she took down my info assuring me she would pass it on to Whitney and we could expect to hear from her within the next few days. After not hearing anything for a week, I went back down to talk to them in person, and was told that they are no longer going to cover the bill they said they would... even though it was part of the agreement when buying the house... I have tried reaching out to supervisors and have heard nothing back. I feel taken advantage of in all honesty and it's ridiculous that my first home buying experience has turned this way. They have the lemon law for young car buyers, what do they have for young homeowners? read more

The entire process was very disappointing... and we only made it to the start of the process! My husband and I met up with a representative of Hayden homes in early January. Within about a week, we had decided we wanted the Teton model home in the summerfield district in Spokane, WA. Julian, the sales representative, said that he would add us to the list and once homes were released, he would contact everyone on the list in order of who was there first, and we would be able to start the process of building our home! A week went by and he said we would have to wait another week... and then another.. and then another... all with the hopes that we would soon be able to build a house. Finally about 2 months later, once prices for houses skyrocketed because it was spring time, Julian informed us that they were changing the process this time because there was so much interest in Summerfield (AKA, they wanted to be greedy and charge way more money). They decided to hold a house raffle where everyone who wants a lot shows up, and if they draw your raffle number, you get to pick the first lot, and then the price goes up 5K.... and then another is drawn, and then the price goes up again. By the end of it all, we were looking at paying at least $30K MORE than what we would have originally got the house for if they would have let us purchase it months ago. At that point, we decided to walk away. I have never dealt with a company that had such poor communication, and willingness to work with their customer. They said they wanted to do the raffle to make it as fair as possible, but how is it fair that someone who has been waiting MONTHS in line on the list has to pay way more money because they got the last spot in the drawing, where someone who only waited a day won the first spot on the lot and would pay way less? Bottom line - I would not recommend working with this company at all. Very disappointing. read more

While I love our home their customer service is horrible. They have yet to level our back yard we have been there since 4/4/17 and they planted a dead tree in the front yard. 5 stars for the house itself, and a great buying experience. Clean, comfortable, well-designed basic home in a family-friendly neighborhood for an affordable price. Overall a very good house with nice extras we were not expecting (like recessed lighting, and ultra-efficient hot water and HVAC from top-rated brands). Really low energy bills. Nice lot size and layout. Only problem is zero communication from Hayden after closing. Landscaping, grading, and some punch list items are all unfinished a month after closing, and still no updates. No response to inquiries submitted by email, phone, or to their customer service web site. read more

We purchased a new Hayden Home in March 2015. We have had nothing but issues with the warranty department and trying to get things fixed on the house. Just this past weekend on Saturday 5/25, I was in the attic and noticed a gas smell coming from the furnace. I immediately called the 24 hour emergency number for the warranty department. Nobody answered and I left several voice-mails over the weekend. I had the gas company come out and confirm the leak and shut the line off. It wasn't until Monday afternoon that I received a call back from a subcontractor that was going to come by and fix the line. I had left the customer service department numerous voice-mails as well as the emergency warranty number and nobody had responded to this issue. The homes are built so cheap, you will have nothing but issues once you move in. None of my interior doors would close properly because they were hung incorrectly. After arguing with them to have someone come out and fix it, the subcontractor told me whoever framed the doors used galvanized framing nails to install them. He was barely able to fix them. Whoever installed the kitchen cabinets drilled holes in them to mount them to the studs, but miscalculated the stud location and had to redo all the drilling. The cabinets had numerous drill holes on the inside and it looked horrible. The list goes on and one. The problem is, once you move in, nobody will answer your calls or get back to you regarding your issues. Their zero defect guarantee is a joke. When I cant close my bedroom door, that's a defect. When I have a gas leak in my attic, that's a serious defect. Please don't use this builder. read more

My offer was approved by Hayden Homes for a home to be built. As listed in the sales agreement, it was to have a view of the mountains. They poured the foundation the wrong way and didn't bother responding to my calls/emails or those of my realestate agent. It was almost a week before they responded. There was no apology and offer to correct. They simply said they will return my earnest money. The realestate agent for Hayden was unprofessional and was bad mouthing her supervisor in front of me and never seemed like she wanted to sell the place. I would not recommed working with this company. read more

They are: Positive Points, Opportunities for improvement, and Impactive process breakdowns. POSITIVE POINTS -The Pacific plan is outstanding for a small family or retired couple. -The Wood Wrapped window option adds value in appearance and resale. . -The open floor plan includes the kitchen, dining room and great room. The Patio also melds nicely into the floor plan for parties and family celebrations. -The best version of the Pacific has raised ceilings in the great room and Master bedroom. In the raised ceiling version of the home, there are three bright windows about twelve feet high in the kitchen. -The optional fireplace in the great room seems to be a good supplement to the furnace in the Winter. Ours is a Heatlator. -The furnace is located in the attic. The AC is just outside the garage. The filters are in the bedroom and hall ceilings. -For us, the bonus room (fourth bedroom) made an excellent entertainment room. -Request a socket be put in the entryway alcove. It's a no brainier that someone would want a lighted decoration or lamp in that alcove. -The garage is available with a four foot extension. Think Storage! -The optional sink in the laundry room is a worthwhile upgrade for keeping the house clean. -The tile, stonework, floor covering and cabinet options are varied and provide a kaleidoscope of color choices. We chose the tiled master bathroom shower, wood plank tile for the floor, granite counters. We are getting positive feedback from family, neighbors, Realtors and Hayden about how well the color choices turned out. -The doors are higher than most and well built as compared to other hollow core doors. -The covered exterior Alcove will complement a covered patio. -The 1805 Square feet are used very efficiently. The downstairs Bonus room is lost with a basic "Orchard". -Plenty of electrical sockets / great options for prewiring cable connections. -It takes awhile to respond to warranty requests. But, it's worth the wait. Great work by Greg. OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT -The exterior locks are Builders Quality. (Thankfully, we have an alarm system) -The Dining room lamp uses CFL's. Hence, there is no dimmer. (Easy upgrade with LED's) -The overhead floods seem to be incandescent. These will be replaced with LED's and a dimmer added for the living room. -Attention to detail needs addressed. -The toilets are builders quality. Per Hayden "A courtesy flush" is recommended. We will be upgrading with TOTO ADA compliant toilets. -Landscaping issues undermining concrete sidewalk/driveway. -Under cabinet lighting in the kitchen is non existent. LED light strings need to be purchased by the home owner. -The second furnace Filter in the bedroom requires a taller ladder to reach. I would recommend placing it at step stool height. (Like the primary filter in the hallway). -Builder should conduct their own detailed quality check before the Customer Walk through. - -We were not provided the ownership manual to read BEFORE the walk through. -Due to perceived communications and process breakdowns Customer Relationship Management and Project Management need to be evaluated/improved. -Upgraded homea are apparently sold incomplete. The new owner is expected to initially seal their own granite counters, stonework, grout and tile. That should be included in the cost of the upgrades. Sealing the grout for a large plank tile floor can delay the move in process. PROCESS BREAKDOWNS -Lost nearly $5,000.00 in profit from our sale in Colorado (Extra Airfare, extended stay Hotels, per diem and car rentals) -Required an extra trip to pick out finishes, flooring and stonework. We were told the original choices we made were lost. We did add 10K more in upgrades. -As described below, the Customer Orientation dates and Closing dates were altered several times. -The moving targets created maximum inconvenience for the sellers agent in CO, movers, buyers agent and the Customer. -The close date started as May 29th. Then it changed to July 10th (due to an apparent process error). The home closed on June 30th. Packing had begun for a May 29th close. -We could not give a firm date to the movers. Based on the "Moving Target" aspect of Hayden's predicted close dates, North American chose to move delivery out from 7/2 to 7/10. -It took almost a month after closing for mailbox installation. Recommendations: 1). Hire a good Inspector to verify the home is complete 2). If possible, ask Hayden for a Performance contingency as an "Exit Clause". We should have walked away when the close date went more than ten business days beyond May 29th. The market we bought into has many great homes at depressed prices. read more

This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. My HAYDEN HOME experience is at the Homestead division in College Place WA. I was repeatedly lied to, literally on a daily basis. When our lot was purchased they promised me several breathtaking views, as that was very important to me. That was the beginning of several lies. They painted our entire home the wrong color. The carpet had those barbs on the edges EVERYWHERE. I had blood from my feet all over my floors. They gave us the wrong lights, an upgrade we paid for. The wrong window shades, an upgrade we paid for,and sod that not only was dead, with no sprinklers, it was infested with thousands of bugs that invaded our home, beds,couches,carpet , bathrooms, even jumping in my eye while kissing my daughter goodnight. Our dishwasher was broken from day one. Hayden loves to do the "Bait and switch" game. We were told I couldn't have grass on the side of my house because of the city. We had the city planner here at my home who said that was a lie!! Our driveway doesn't match up with the house. They poured half the concrete we paid for, when we pointed out their mistake they said they would pour the other half. We informed them to do it all over, as all concrete pours different colors. They PROMISED if it didn't match, they would redo it, of course they didn't. My fireplace would make a very loud noise admitting a horrible odor, turning itself on and off at will. I have asked, no begged for one of the new lots, so we can start over and do it right this time, but almost laughed at and told "Hayden won't do that" They should after what they have put me through, emotionally, physically, and financially. Oh, and did I mention I've only been in my newly built house a few weeks? I have a life threatening disease that has gotten much worse due to the stress Hayden Watson and his company, Hayden homes has put on me. I am a single mom and not strong enough to take on such lying, dishonest, uncaring people. While speaking with the city, I was given the names of two attorneys ready to take on Hayden homes and its owner. That should speak volumes to anyone who's thinking of buying a Hayden home. If you're thinking of going into a model Hayden home, don't. It's a house of lies from beginning to the end. It's bait and switch, it's saying ANYTHING to close a sale, then play games with you for a year, till all of THEIR problems, are now legally yours. Don't be fooled like I was. It's changed me forever. What's supposed to be an exciting time in the life of my daughter and myself, has turned into a literal daily nightmare . read more

D J DUNN My husband and I bought a Hayden home in 2017 in the antler ridge subdivision and we are very happy with our home however customer service and warranty problems have been a nightmare, from the very start of our final walk thru we have been lied to about major issues that were said were done however were not and have had to fight to get issues done as we get close to our first year in the house when the warranty ends and thank God we hired our own inspector to inspect pur house. There was a issue with the neighbors home when kittens were trapped under the crawl space and I was heart broken because I had to listen to then cry for about a week and a half and told the PM about it which I was told they would get them out in which never happened and I had to get the Humane society involved to get them out. I would recommend a hayden home because it is a beautiful home but would be gun shy about the customer service and getting warranty issues resolved.
