They spent a good deal of time patiently educating me about numerous matters, including best practices for smoothly dealing with the building staff and management company, helping me to make decisions about things I was unaware of by thoughtfully explaining options, etc. They maintain reliable and beneficial supplier relationships whom they clearly partner well with. All their craftsmen were talented and efficient (carpenters, masons, painters, assemblers, installers, cleaners). The company was adaptable to variables beyond our control that tend to arise: We did not loose time when 2 Home Depots were out of desired doors ("Let's check Lowe's across the parking lot") or Home Depot was late to deliver appliances they left Bolo the task of bringing into the apartment after a sidewalk delivery, discovering the kitchen underfloor was in worse condition than anticipated, etc. As with any business that has on-the-fly decisions to make or optional services to choose, as the client, expect expansion/contraction of the scope of work and costs. Bolo also runs professional cleaning services, so the place was spotless when they finished since I elected their thorough service. Not one of the services I got from them (5, maybe more) did they arrive on time or even within the booked timeframe...and no call to alert me of the delay. And some of the delays were 30min-1hr. Each time, it was me calling to check in. I've only had 1 service that was complete to satisfaction. All others they've had to come back to complete. Sometimes several trips. And for booking, an email with multiple questions will take them multiple emails to answer, and days to do so. Don't expect an immediate or 1 fully addressed email. By far the worst booking was when they sent their teenage daughter to complete a cleaning service. She did less than half the tasks, went back to complete them, and still did not complete them...and left the supplies I purchased and shipped to them to complete the tasks at their home office, so had to come back to drop them off...and took it upon themselves to keep some of the items. A 2 hour booking turned into a 3 day affair...and this was with double tipping, in hopes of great service. I've kept myself from leaving reviews after every service, hoping the next service would be acceptable, and because the team is very kind, so you want to root for the company and its success, but this last one was so unacceptable, I feel the need to worn other customers by leaving this review and hope that they read it too so significant changes can be made. Should you still book any of their services, someone needs to be there to monitor. I was away for most of my services due to COVID. This is not a company you can work with while physically away and unable to monitor. I've since shifted to White Glove Elite for cleaning service and Handy for everything else. I wrote a review about 3 weeks ago (pls see below) and as I was very happy with that experience, I contacted Precision again for another job. This time, I had to have a portion of my bathroom patched, covered and then painted. I also had a related request to remove a shelf from the bathroom. As with my first experience with Precision, this job was just as good! Again, the coordination within the Precision team was excellent and clearly evident in all aspects of the job, from initial inquiry and questions all the way to the final communication post completion of the job. My key contacts were Jason and Trish. My request was not a standard apartment painting but involved some work on fixing a portion of my bathroom wall, removing a shelf, and then painting and cleaning up the job. Precision was able to accommodate my request for this job so quickly that even I was caught by surprise (positive) as they were able to schedule me in a couple of days. The staff who did the job were Freddy and Steven. As I requested with Jason, I asked for a call about an hour before the staff's arrival at my apt as it's currently unoccupied. I got a call from Javier exactly an hour before the promised start time and Freddy and Steve arrived right on time! Freddy was already aware of the "special" request I had with the bathroom shelf and after a quick run-down, work started and was done in a couple of hours. Freddy and Steve knew exactly what they were doing (notable since this was not a standard job) and everything was completed in a couple of hours! I will definitely be working with Precision again and I highly recommend the company as it's very comforting to work with a highly professional organization that does excellent work! On my first call to Precision, they were able to give me a rough price estimate and date availability. This was a pleasant surprise as I needed the job done soon and, it's always hard to confirm an appointment without having an idea of price. (Of course, the final price quote had to be confirmed upon providing further details via email but this was done very quickly as well) My primary contacts at Precision were Jason and Trish. Both were very professional, efficient and friendly in their communication. And, they were able to accommodate my request on a few days' notice. We kept in regular contact throughout the process and calls and emails were returned promptly. The overall quality of the work was great. I met Javier (Project Manager) at my property just before work started to go over any relevant issues. The team were there on time and ready to start working immediately. Javier was also very professional and put me at ease to the point that I only checked on the quality of the job after the painting team was done and already left the property. One important thing to keep in mind for those not familiar with big jobs (i.e. painting, flooring, plumbing, etc.) for most New York city buildings is the insurance coverage of the contractors. Some companies will not have this ready or have sufficient coverage to complete jobs in some buildings. Precision Painting was on top of all required paperwork and approvals for this aspect of the job.
