He was incredibly helpful with choosing products and did not rush us in making decisions. I have a friend who ordered 4 lights from you and paid in full on March 3rd, he still hasn't received the products. He was told at one time, his order is on B/O. When trying to call them about the order all they say it's going to ship. They are lying, he called the company and all the company can say that it's not on B/O. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Deceptive. First of all, the customer service rep doesn't tell you that your product is on backorder when you ask if they have it in stock. After 4 months of repeated delay notices, I received the chandliers which were not gold, but a cheap greenish silvery color. I only opened top of box to view ceiling cup and chain, but both looked tinny and cheap. Followed directions, sent the products back unopened in original shipment containers (to the manufacturer) as directed at my own expense. Got notice of receipt from UPS. Not a word or refund from WeGotLites. After months of emails with the customer service rep, Olivia, she claims my refund is "being processed". Since I paid on AMEX and it has instant credit process, her statement is all a lie. Another month has gone by...despite phone calls, emails and efforts to get a refund, there is now no response. This company is a nightmare to deal with...like dealing with a Chinese online bait and switch company that posts pretty pictures but sells junk...if you get it at all. I am very impressed with this place! I saw a beautiful chandelier in a restaurant in GA and wanted it so bad for My hair salon ( which is in Long Island NY) so I try and do some research looking for a light that I don't have a name or number for. So I go to a lighting store in my area (elegant lighting) and to my surprise it's hanging in the showroom! I was so excited! Then comes the price...2750!! Totally out of my reach! So I find out the manufacture number and start my search and find it on We got lights for 1500 less! What?! I am totally serious! The service was great it was here when they said it would be. Packaged great everything wrapped carefully and marked. The quality is ridiculous! The crystals are so gorgeous! And the light is so well made! I just ordered a group of chandeliers for my coming wedding (more complicated order than average, I'm sure!), and the representative, Adam, was very helpful and knowledgable throughout the process. He gave me a better deal on these lights than either he or I could find elsewhere online, and I've learned about crystal light bulbs and lighting strategies along the way. I've noticed that most of the poor reviews of WeGotLites are either (1) "slow" shipping (Possible we're just spoiled by Amazon??) or (2) complicated setup/install process (I'm looking forward to the challenge). I have seen an ad from 'AdChoices'' pop up on eBay for four days. It says 95% off item 9784BK. But WegotLites will not honor their coupon. I have talked to the company until I am "blue in the face". Someone in the company placed this ad but they will not let me talked to the person. All I am asking them is to honor my order. Let's say 2.5 stars. Three seems overly generous, but we do have an exquisitely gorgeous crystal chandelier in our entry as a result. Yelp doesn't do half stars, so three it is. The customer service here stinks. While they sell beautiful lighting fixtures at deep discounts, making them accessible to those who might otherwise not consider such extravagant pieces for their home, the service sucks. The directions that accompanied our chandelier were painfully inadequate. Not just to us, but our highly experienced electrician who said he'd never worked on anything so difficult. The extra labor hours it took to install more than outweighed the discount we got for shopping at wegotlites. When we called to ask for guidance, the phone service was horrendously rude. Each person we talked to sounded hassled and aggravated that they would even need to speak with us at all, how nice for having dropped $200 on a light fixture. Some crusty jerk begrudgingly talked us through the gaps in the information sent with the crystal, but it didn't do much good. He was such an ass, we were almost ready to box it up and send it back. But it's so damn beautiful. The rainbow-flashy-sparkly beauty of our crystal chandelier can't be overestimated for its classy ambiance. It's the first thing we notice when entering the house, and boy does it fit with how special we feel towards our home. This light was a big splurge during our renovations -- we could have found something more practical to replace the '60's fixture that was way past its prime -- but the wegotlites price was so attractive that we went for it. Would I recommend the store? Only if you're an electrician or know one really well who will cut you a deal on labor and you have tough ears for dealing with mean-mouthed customer service. I went with them because they had the best price for the particular light fixture I wanted. Shipping was rather slow (in fairness, their stated shipping policy does not set any false expectations). Having ordered from them, I now understand their model: they act as a broker...you order through their site, and the product ships directly from the manufacturer. Had a fabulous customer service experience with Adam when I placed an order over the phone. I emailed him a presentation of the lights my interior decorator recommended and he was able to find much similar options at a much lower cost saving me thousands of dollars. Before you buy really make sure you 'READ' the return policy. You have pay the shipping to send back your item and a restocking fee!!! My salesman Anthony was the best! I had tried for many months to get a particular chandelier. More than one company would say yes we can order this. Then excuses and finally was told it was discontinued. Then I saw a current ad for my chandelier. That's how I got to Anthony. He insisted he could and would get this for me. He even said he would let me know when it actually arrived in the US and he actually did and provided tracking info and kept me informed as promised. Anthony is a treasure. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE!!!!! I ordered a light fixture, and they sent me the wrong one. Then apparently the light fixture they sent me was not in their stock so they were confused why I got it. I don't know why I got it either. After 5 days of sending photos back and forth for proof they finally sent me a prepaid label. Oh but the light fixture I ordered was no longer in stock. I learned my lesson the hard way. I originally saw a chandelier I loved on a different well known brand name website but the price was more than I wanted to pay. I shopped around and found something that looked identical on We Got Lites. My concern was quality. Was the price lower because it didn't carry the well known name or because the quality wasn't as good? At over $1,500 it was certainly not inexpensive. I am on the west coast so I wasn't able to see the product in person but spoke at length to the salesman multiple times. He was very helpful and convincing that they specialize in crystals and their crystals are of the best quality. When I received my product I was very disappointed, 60 of the crystals, about half, had chips or scratches. Rather than return the whole product they said they would replace the bad crystals. The customer service person was very nice and told me the replacement crystals "should arrive to you in nothing less than perfect condition." They didn't, they were packed very well but it was clear they didn't go into the box in perfect condition. Going through them one at a time is very time consuming and I kept putting it off, partly because I didn't have confidence that even if they sent me yet another replacement set that they would be any better and partly because I just didn't have the energy go through the whole thing again. Finally I reached out to customer service, it has been about 2 months since receiving the replacement crystals. I was told their policy is 7 days, since it didn't report it in time I am out of luck. From a distance the chandelier looks good, but sitting at the table I can't help noticing the chips. If I were to do it again I would pay the big bucks and get the brand name. I expect I would have received better quality crystals and I am confident they would stand behind their product. Either that or I would just realize that you get what you pay for and not expect top of the line quality. read more

There was a specific vanity light I needed and it was available from many different online stores. But they all required a 7-10 business day delay before I would receive the order, including WeGotLites. I called and spoke to Alex in customer service and he was VERY helpful. Seems the manufacturer works at a slow pace in processing orders which accounts for the the long wait for delivery. Alex and his manager Michael listened to my plea for help in getting a quicker delivery and made contact with the manufacturer and got their agreement to process and ship my order the very next day, at no additional charge. Not common to have people respond like this. I will always recommend WeGotLites from this point on. read more

The three stars are because I love my chandelier NOW that we have it hung in our dining room. I ordered my chandelier and was told it would be shipped in five working days. After three calls, it finally arrived in three weeks. It arrived in a used box, absolutely no instructions, and critical pieces missing. I made many calls and three trips to Home Depot for screws and bolts. I was told over and over that customer service would call me back. NOT! I had to keep calling and calling. My husband (a licensed electrician) and I drove there from the north shore of the island and as we walked into the showroom, there was a sales lady right beyond the foyer, she never even looked up to say hello, just kept on talking to the couple in front of her. Better quality lighting fixtures than the big box stores but then again I wouldn't buy a chandelier in a big box store. One thing I forgot to mention. We purchased a beautiful modern chandelier for about $500 in 2012. No problems with installation and initially it worked fine. Just nine months later, the sockets began blowing out one by one, until the chandelier was virtually useless. I called the company and we were told we are no longer under warranty, so there's nothing they could do. I had to dismantle the chandelier, and take it to a light specialist as the sockets were not your regular run-of-the-mill kind found at Home Depot that we could replace ourselves. I had to shell out an extra ~$150 just to get it fixed. Although the chandelier is beautiful, the materials used were sub-par which resulted in more of a headache than we anticipated. read more

Horrible customer service!!!! We love our chandelier but there are NO directions on putting the crystals in. We ordered in MAY and they told us THREE weeks. We got it mid JULY. It was missing TONS of pieces. I called and told them exactly what I was missing, new pieces came still missing particular screws. Re-ordered screws FOUR times, all wrong. I was told if I brought the screws to them they'd have someone ship the exact ones back. Went to the store, asked for the person who told me that and they wouldn't go get him to help us!!! Someone finally came and took one (they wanted me to go drop it off, yea right I was JUST there and tried to do that) and got the screws in OCTOBER!!! It took FIVE months to get this thing right!! No credit, no complimentary help putting it together after all of this aggravation!!! WILL NEVERRRRRR GO BACK!!!! read more

Update, at this point all issues have been resolved and lighting has been picked up by vendor. After a charge-back the Customer relations had stepped in to clean this mess up. Here's what happened: Ron the manager took my actual cabinet makers floor-plan for under cabinet lighting. I needed UNDER the cabinet lights so my 30 inch cabinets got 30 inch lights. He assured me that he knew what he was doing. When I went to install nothing fit. In reality I needed 28 inch lights to fit under 30s so I called him and he agreed it was his mistake and I told him I wanted a refund. I did give him 3 days to make this work but he kept pushing me off until I ordered exactly what I wanted online. He assured there would be no problem but when I went to store with the lights he told me he was ONLY going to charge me 10% restocking fee and it is normally 25%. I walked out taking the lights back telling ghimi will be calling my credit card company to do it the hard way. Funny thing is my wife had 3 fans in her sights and would have easily spent $1200 more IF this was handled correctly. I try and buy local and from small business and am usually happy. read more

I bought a chandelier worth $1600 from these folks and when it was delivered, the free bottle of crystal cleaner had leaked. I contacted them (chatted with Diane) and requested a replacement bottle. I was told that the supervisor needed to be cosulted and thet they would get back to me later that day. I waited till the following day and contacted them again. This time I chatted with Clarissa. Again I was given the run around but when I lost my temper, she said she would send a replacement. I'm shocked at how petty these people are.
