Sometimes they'd go to the park in Clifton (for a lot of the same team building exercises my wife's company had done there); on another day, the kids went caving; and on another day, they went canoeing and swimming. Every evening, she would come back exhausted and happy. What more can you ask for?

Most people know Adventure Links for their popular camp programs for children and teens. However, they also offer stellar corporate team building programs, which is how I got to know them. About five years ago, as the CEO of a growing company of 20 professionals, I was struggling with how to address some growing pains and spice up our upcoming quarterly retreat. A friend recommended Adventure Links, so I scheduled a meeting with Anna, the CEO. Anna came to my office and interviewed me to understand my business, our challenges, and what I hoped to accomplish. She asked many questions, listened, and took notes. The next week, we took our team of 20 to their retreat location. Anna and her team had put together an all-day agenda of activities that went way beyond simple ropes courses. What surprised and "sold" me on them was how she'd managed to incorporate our growing pains into her exercises in meaningful ways. Sure, we had fun and bonded, but more importantly most of us began to see certain everyday problems in meaningful new ways, with fresh solutions. To this day our team references those exercises like old Seinfeld episodes. After each exercise - some physically challenging and all mentally challenging - Anna would bring us together and help us draw correlations to some of our corporate issues. It helped that she has a sharp wit and great sense of humor. She and her team also knew when to push and put us on the spot to drive home a point. Six months later, we wanted to bring Adventure Links back for another quarterly retreat, but this time due to bad weather we had to do the exercises in our office. They totally pulled it off! The indoor exercises were unique and again gave us a fresh perspective on both issues and people. An example - during one intense exercise where we split into two teams, a junior staff person had a "eureka!" moment with a brilliant solution to a problem, and spontaneously took control of our team, which included several executives. I had no idea this young lady was so intellectually gifted and capable of leadership under pressure. How valuable is that information for an employer? My firm has engaged Adventure Links several times since then, all with success. When my children are old enough, I'll be sending them to the Adventure Links camps...I know they'll learn and have fun. Adventure Links rocks!

It's a new facility but the staff was warm and welcoming when we attended an open house event. They remembered the baby's name and had not even met her yet. As a new grandma I was not looking forward to the granddaughter going to day care but I don't live here and her parents need to work. This place eased my worries and I enjoyed learning more about where she'll be while she's away from her mom and dad. Very clean, secure and it seems like they have a great routine. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. They also have a playground out back but I didn't get photos of it. It's a nice new building with plenty of parking! They also had sign up specials going on and they offered a military discount which other facilities did not offer!! That's a win in my book since they're both USMC.

Technology is good, just like its slogan! I am also happy that each classroom is small, compare to other daycares that are packed! my sons can be better attended by the teachers. The price is ok considering all it has to offer. especially diaper/wipes are provided here.

I should have trusted my instinct during the…read moreenrollment process when the center leaned about my child's minor disability and demanded I complete a reasonable accommodation form prior to his start date. My 2 year old is in a physical therapy program, during the pandemic his therapy was strictly virtual.I was required to sign a document that stated "should the center be unable to reasonably accommodate my child's needs" he would be disenrolled. I assured the director Sarah Zirzow that he was an independent and active average 2 year old they did not need any "special" privileges or accommodations yet we were still denied a fair treatment. I took her actions as a simple inexperience in working with children with disabilities and abided by the rules. 1st day the incident reports began piling up. He was sent home with multiple reports of violent behavior which sounded nothing like my child. The director made the decision to not allow him to come back for the remainder of the week and put together a 3 strike contract terminating him from the program. My child was disenrolled in less than 3 weeks. I have made over a dozen contacts to the corporate office at the Learning Group asking for a call back and no one has yet to return my call. The center charged us for a month and a half worth of daycare expenses and has made further unauthorized charges against our checking account 4 weeks after his disenrollement date. A billing specialist at the leaving group finally informed me that my refund would not mailed for 7-9 weeks! I have sent multiple emails since requesting videos of the allegations, copies of incidents they reported that were never provided to me, an explanation to my refund.. none of which have been responded to. The center staff was very pleasant during the enrollment process but have very little to no experience in managing an educational program and caring for small children. The new center has not reported a single incident in nearly 4 weeks.... I feel so guilty putting my child through whatever happened at this center during that 3 weeks and not trusting my first instinct. Below is a link to the Virginia State licensing violation against this center showing clear negligence, poor training by this staff. https://www.dss.virginia.gov/facility/search/cc2.cgi?rm=Inspection;Inspection=111266;ID=44548;search_contains_zip=20155;search_keywords_name=Everbrook%20;search_require_client_code-2101=1 Courtney R.: I have. I have called MULTIPLE times and requested a call back. Took Stephanie over a month to call me back to tell me there was a miscommunication and that my unfortunate experience would be used to better train your staff. That's comforting to know. I was also promised a same day update on my refund which was 4 days ago. All I got was an email that said you'll contact me back with an update. You have my information and know how to contact me yet you don't. Your 800 number is useless

Hats off! I absolutely LOVE getting the pictures of my little one on a daily basis so I can see him and updates throughout the day about his meals - how much he ate, diaper/potty updates, activities, etc. They use an app called KidReports (they used to use PreciouStatus which I liked better but this is still fairly new) this is used to report out updates and information which I think is very helpful and adds some peace of mind to our days while away from him. This Minnieland is incredibly organized with a curriculum for each age group, menu and communications sent out on a weekly or recurring as needed basis. Of course when little kiddos start they are more reserved about getting dropped off but the staff opens their arms and hearts to the kids and we feel so happy knowing they are taken care of while we are at work. Included are various activities as well such as Ice Cream truck days (truck pulls up and you grab your ice creams upon leaving, or sundae making upon parent pickup on occasion, holiday activities and Trunk or Treat (decorate vehicles at Halloween and the kids get to trick/treat in the parking lot) among other events too that are fun for the kids and families.
