I have been leary of these types of companies because we have purchased 2 other timeshares on the resale market which were handled by 2 different escrow/transfer companies and the service we received from each was less than adequate. We were constantly making phone calls to check status of our transfer, often times having to leave messages only having to call back once again after a few days when the call was never returned. We were lied to on numerous occasions and closing and transfer of the deed in one case took upwards of 6 months and 1 year on the second timeshare we purchased. This is why I have felt so strongly about writing my review for GreatWay Services. They were always on top of everything. They were pleasant to talk with, courteous, accurate, thorough, and prompt. Our questions were answered promptly and efficiently and the deed for our timeshare was transferred to our name inside of 3 months. The caller stated he was calling from the David Dupree State Farm office to provide an insurance quote and attempted to set up an appointment. When I informed him that my number was on the Do Not Call list and asked for his name and office location, he immediately hung up. I called the number back and spoke with someone named Allison, who stated the owner, David Dupree, would return my call. When Mr. Dupree called, he confirmed that an agent from his office made the call but refused to identify the agent. He explained that the call was made by a new college hire who did not fully understand the agency's training protocols. He stated he did not see my number in the Do Not Call database and said he would handle the matter internally. He also stated that he would not remove my number from his office's internal calling list. My Do Not Call registration was verified through the Missouri Attorney General's office, and I filed formal complaints with the AG's No Call program (Complaint No. NC-2026-01-000582) and with State Farm corporate (Case #1843108). Based on this experience, I would urge consumers to proceed with caution.
