I…read moreoriginally took it to the Anthony Joseph on post at the PX to get an estimate for USAA to cover the cost, but they don't do repairs there. It was fine with me and she informed me of the new location and I headed over to see Tony in Harker Heights. He gave me an estimate and USAA had payment to me a day and a half later (5for them too!) I dropped off my ring and said I'd be wearing it again by the holidays! That was at maybe 140pm, then I went to eat and shop in Heights. Anthony Joseph just moved to Harker Heights from by Killeen Mall so their contact info needs an update...you take a right off Knight's Way onto Stillhouse and it's on your left with the spa and orange theory fitness and some other store fronts that aren't open yet bc it's brand new. At 330pm I got a call saying my ring was ready! I was shocked and it was perfect timing! I just finished at Ross dress for less! Picked it up and looked amazing and polished and they even sonic cleaned my wedding band while I did paperwork and payment. Came out better than expected! Will definitely be coming here for future jewelry work, creations and purchases. The owner and everyone there is So nice, including Dutch, their beefy, beautiful and friendly pup who is probably 1/4 of the reason I returned to have my ring repaired there...who doesn't love a sweet pup! About 14 years ago, the prong on my wedding ring broke (my husband bought my ring 29 years ago in…read moreLubbock from a nationally known jeweler) and the diamond fell. We took it to Bill French Jewelers and Bill not only fixed the prong, he was quite patient about finding the right sized stone for the ring (I wanted a slightly larger stone), and made sure it was as near to perfect as a stone can get. In the summer of 2016, I went in to look at some rings for our pre-teen daughter for her upcoming birthday. Bill noticed my ring needed cleaning, but more so, he took a look at the diamond cross I was wearing. This cross was a birthday gift to me from my Mom (who passed in 2009) when I turned 16. I wear this cross all the time and rarely do I take it off. Bill noticed the bale for the cross and the clasp on the chain were worn thin. It was worn so thin, the cross was about to fall from the chain any second. Since I had been wearing it since I was 16 years old, that's A LOT of wear! I hadn't even noticed it. Bill, with his expert jeweler's eye for such detail, caught it! I was happy to turn it over to him for fixing and bought a better, thicker chain that went well with the cross. Not only that, after examining the cross, Bill explained to me the cross was not silver, as I had thought, but white gold and pointed out the carat measure on the back. It was too small for me to read and I never thought much about it, only that it was a gift from my Mom! I would have been devastated if I had ever lost this cross, not because of the worth in gold and diamonds, but because it was a gift from my Mom. Thank you, Bill and the entire staff at Bill French Jewelers for all the work you have done for us over the years! Through the years, we have bought watches and other pieces of jewelry from Bill French. This Christmas my husband bought me a gorgeous watch. Before I shop anywhere for jewelry, we always stop in and see what Bill has first and foremost. We still need to get the ring for our daughter--if I can ever get her ring sized without her being suspicious! ;-)
