My nephew mom and I called the jail to figure out what was going because we hadn't heard from my nephew all day. That night we spoke with the Watch Commander Captain Wells, she couldn't share much info but she said he was ok. Captain Wells was short with the convo. but she was professional and informational. I came to the jail the next day in person to speak to someone about the condition of my nephew. Upon arrival I was greeted and about 5 officers immediately tried getting me some assistance. There was a older white guy and the Watch Commander Captain Holiday, answered all my concerns about my nephew. They may have been feeding me some BS about his wellbeing, but they were so nice I had no choice but to believe them. The jail condition and the inmates safety are horrible, but the front desk and the entry of the jail customer service is A+.

Shoutouts to Bond, James Bond for that. He spent 8 hours in the clink as a fat Jewish dude amongst a bunch of skinheads and a waifish guy in tights rolling his balls off. An interesting remnant of a bygone era, the OMJC or the "iron maiden" was used by foot patrolmen to temporarily hold prisoners waiting for the paddy wagon in the 1880s (according to Atlanta Walks). Surprisingly, it's in good condition with a working door. It is rather skinny with only tiny skylights for lighting...not recommended for anyone with claustrophobia or nyctophobia. The OMJC stands alone at Delta Park in Inman Park. This tiny triangular shaped park is in the middle of 3 intersections. Hence the name? Also found at Delta Park is a historic civil war marker that has nothing to do with the OMJC. Free and not touristy. Parking is street. A quirky slice of history... maybe Atlanta has been a little offbeat all along!

I have high anxiety so already going to check or even calling makes me nervous. I've heard bad things about this jail and the last thing i think someone who WORKS there and CHOOSE to work there is to make us more worried with their attitude. Said the game system in the vehicle which was in a black box not in eyesite plus tinted windows with the new vehicle said without the serial number its also not traceable. Do any police officers do there jobs anymore? I had a hit and run a few months ago they said they would call me. Haven't heard from em to this day. They took my address and all my info that day and was oblivious to who I was like they cant even see it in their system if they even bothered to look. What a disgrace really.

Some period buildings had been moved to the site. There is one original house that has been refurbished and brought back to the period. Can also see the Indian alphabet, printing press, and the newspaper. We entered the park with a senior yearly pass. If you are interested in the Cherokee Indians, this is one of many places in the area to visit.

It's extremely clean, well maintained and filled with beautiful structures of tributes. There is a restroom up front by the entrance so I suggest if you think you need to go then you should go then before you get on with your visit.... Not sure what the parking policies are but I was able to park on the side and walk around with not problems. I saw many people do the same as well....not sure when it gets busy but I came on a Sunday so it wasn't too crowded...
