I'll have to give credit to Haywood for keeping its interior new and frequently updated, and for keeping its space pretty full with stores continuing to come. The department stores are also nice; Belk even sells Charles Tyrwhitt shirts, for example, and Dillard's is very nice, with a nice-looking store. Plus it has a Cheesecake Factory and an Apple store. So it's certainly better than other malls in the Upstate. I prefer downtown (it's a nicer ambiance, with some nicer stores and a bigger mix of things to do), but I can't criticize Haywood; it does a good job. read more

This mall is the staple of Greenville and has been for many years. Two story vibrant mall surviving when other indoor malls are failing. All four major department stores Macy's, Belk, JC Penny's, Dillard are housed here. Having a Cheesecake Factory on-site is clout enough. There are three escalators, one at each end and in middle. Our trip was during a Saturday night in November after Thanksgiving and it wasn't wall to wall people but enough to see business is going well. From the time we walked in I was wowed. So many stores to choose from to shop, even though we were there to just eat. There were over 15 restaurant selections to choose from. A lot of the restaurants had a value menu for those that may not want a full meal. We all ate from different restaurants, the service was great and the people were pleasant. Mrs. K. wants to go for a walk to burn off the calories from the huge basket of fries we shared for dinner but it's too cold out. At my suggestion, we headed to the mall and did our walking here. Crowded on a Saturday night and with about a third of the patrons carrying purchases, it was nice to see a visible security presence inside and out. The mall is clean and well lighted. There is a food court we didn't visit and there are public restrooms we didn't use. Very few empty store fronts, this mall seems to be doing pretty well with occupancy including the major anchor stores and lots of other retail. Where is the CHRISTMAS music? We visit Haywood Mall several times weekly. Very disappointed this holiday season. In fact, for the past 2 years, during the Christmas season, no Christmas music in the mall. Several stores play Christmas music inside their store but in the main hallways, only secular music plays. As many times as I've been in Greenville, I've never been to Haywood mall. It is definitely a nice mall with a lot of bustling traffic. This also could have been the case because Mother's Day is coming up, but the stores were busy for a Thursday afternoon. I stopped and grabbed two cookies from Great American Cookie, bought some dress pants from JC Penney along with a shirt. The service was great at both stores. The sale at Penney's was cool so I bought more than I had planned. Very nice prices for the look! They had very nice selections throughout the store. Christmas time is here!!! A visit to the Haywood Mall on Sunday(December 9, 2023) for a visit with Santa Claus for my two year old great great nephew to take Christmas pictures. There were A LOT of people at the mall, doing first time Christmas shopping or for some, last minute shopping. Santa was very friendly, and though my nephew did not cry, he never looked at Santa Claus, his eyes were straight ahead. After pictures a stop at Bath and Body Works that was PACKED!! These people have kiosk selling fake perfume, fake sunglasses and even opened a new store called amped that already has a bad reputation for selling replica merchandise. This mall has falling off badly. I see why there's so many fights and shootings. People buy stuff,think its real. Find out its not,then there's trouble. These guys at this shoe store are crybabies. They wanted me to sell them 11 pair of new retros for $1,000 , once I laughed it off they got mad and called my shoes giveaways. Then the dude sent me what he thought was my shoes. Nope ,he owns a sneaker store but price checks the wrong shoes. So I took them to varsity. Clearing $1700 with ease. These guys googled my background and posted it online. Lol my charges were dropped. But thats just too much. The stores full of replica stuff. The owner had on fake off white forces. This mall let's anyone rent a space. I'll say that this is a pretty solid mall. There are a wide variety of stores and the mall is pretty clean and orderly. Restrooms were clean and plentiful also. Some of the stores close prior to mall closure so be sure to check the individual store hours. One thing that I always notice is that to there is always an escalator that is out of service. read more

If you are spending a good bit of time at the mall, you need to eat, so a foodcourt should be a main area that is focused on by staff. read more

Gemstone Mining: Don't walk, Run to this store!! It was amazing!! The store was clean and had amazing treasures but the best part was the gem mining!! We got the family size bucket for $30 and got oh so many cool gems - including a large geode. It was fantastic! Best part was Grant who is an employee with gem identifying superpowers. He was so incredibly kind and helpful with my 7 year old. Filled with information and helped show her around the store - introducing her to different gems. The woman he worked with was very nice and helped a lot of other customers. Without them, it would be a cool store, meh experience. With them, it was a lifetime memory- and from within a mall!! I go to this mall a lot when I'm in town visiting my best friend. I'm not from the area, but we enjoy shopping here because of the good variety of stores it has to offer. The mall itself is relatively clean compared to others I've visited, and has a ton of parking. It's never that busy/packed either, at least it hasn't been when we've went. Crew, Micheal Kors, etc. There's also a Cheesecake Factory, which I absolutely love! It's bright and clean. It's larger than it seems from the outside. Came here a few times, just to kill time and meet up with a friend of mine. They have a nice play ground area on the first floor for the kids where we spent most of our time watching his son play. Plenty of great stores - I'm a big fan of the Sephora and Francesca's, though there are a few other boutiques too. The Macy's is also really nice and there aren't many around SC. Lots of other stores, it's a great place to get holiday shopping done! Get yourself some edible cookie dough upstairs too :) Parking can be a nightmare - I always park in front of Macy's. A quick walk straight through and you're in the big lobby right in the middle of the mall, can easily get anywhere. read more

This mall is huge! Walking in from outside you wouldn't think it was 2 stories, but it is! It has so many different stores inside that I had no idea were even around in malls, such as Pacsun and Vans?! I love the different chic boutiques they have available with my style of clothing and jewelry. Food court was huge and had a great selection, even a Sbarro, which I thought they were long gone!! I'm coming from Charleston SC, and malls down there are a bit small, lack of stores and could use some TLC, so walking in here I was so excited! They even have a MACY'S and Build-A-Bear?! I went on a Friday around 5pm and it was really crowded and I'm sure weekends are as well, I could imagine weekdays are not too bad like other malls, so that is when I will venture back out here again! read more

Growing up in Greenville, I've been coming to this mall for a while now. Now I only when I'm home for Christmas, and they have new stores, and better ones, each time I go back. Unfortunately, since I only go during Christmas time now, it's very crowded in the main areas. The selection is alright, and while it may not be the ideal shopping experience, I usually find what I'm looking for. There is plenty to choose from and lots of parking. It would be nice if there were more restaurants, perhaps throughout the mall, and not just in the food court. More bathrooms would be good too. If you know anything about Simon malls, you know that they are either hit or miss(the majority in my opinion being a miss). I typically can tell if a mall is going to be mediocre based on the knowledge of there being a spencer or a hot topic which they have BOTH... Haywood mall has mainly low end stores and no luxury department stores. It is also the only mall I have ever seen with no MAC cosmetics. I have found that some of their stores have little selection and they are very picked through. Unfortunately, this is the only mall in the area so this is all I have to work with. Overall, I would suggest to skip this mall and its crappy selection altogether and just go to TJ Maxx or shop online. Booooo! read more

Since the Starbucks in this mall isn't technically "Starbucks" and is owned by the mall, I will leave my review here. I used to visit this Starbucks frequently and have never really experienced consistency in my drink as I get the same thing each time. It always tastes different. Also, you can't redeem points or place a mobile order which is very frustrating for someone who is usually quite pressed for time. It doesn't help that their line is long every time I've been also. This visit was especially memorable because I noticed something interested in my drink. I had already drank half of it by this point and realized that there was a BUG IN MY CUP. On the inside of my drink, a gnat was stuck against the cup. I went back and asked for both a refund and a replacement. The manager came to refund me and apologized once without meeting my eye. The replacement drink wasn't made correctly so it was also a waste. I love Starbucks but I will never come back to this location. Contrary to their belief, I don't prefer to have bugs in my espresso.
