The morning of my move, I was told no crew was available. I had flown cross-country solo, and without other options, I agreed to reschedule for the following day, including booking an additional night of hotel and paying increased airfare. Haze confirmed they would be there... The following day, after the first last-minute cancellation, they were unresponsive to multiple texts and calls over a multi-hour period, both from me and from agents at Uhaul. They did not show. A very enthusiastic 5 star review for Corey and his crew. If I needed to hire a mover again, 100% would work with them again if possible. Here is my recent experience, I contacted him on a Monday about a Friday move. It was a pretty easy move (no furniture, maybe about a couple dozen large boxes) but it was a cross-city move (going from the San Fernando Valley to Venice). He quoted me a reasonable offer and scheduled for Friday morning. I was happy to notice they were 15 minutes early and loaded up the trailer so quickly, I was not expecting it. I had some directions on a few fragile items and they were able to secure everything safely. I did not have a car at the time and they were nice enough to allow me to ride with them in their truck on way down to Venice. That was very much appreciated as well. The move into the new condo was just as fast. (Both condos were on the 2nd floor). They moved everything so quickly, efficiently and safely they finished the job they quoted me for 3 hours in only 2! HIGHLY RECOMMEND hiring from Haze Moving. I called Corey on a Friday and we confirmed a date for Saturday. I was so happy I was able to find someone last minute. They are listed as movers when I was booking my Uhaul but I contacted them directly to book which I'm sure everyone appreciates (no middle man). I hired them for 2 hours with 2 guys and they moved my entire 1 bedroom place in that time frame. Not only that, super polite, awesome, kind dude who help you move. Simple as that. Affordable too. Not everything fit in my Uhaul and they offered to put stuff in their own personal truck. They had cloth and wraps for my glass coffee table that I didn't even think to prepare beforehand. These guys (absolutely) killed it!!!! Strong, in shape, high cardio threshold. Let me tell you. Three steep flights of carpeted, close-quarters steps, and 12 to 15, 27-gallon totes (Costco black/yellow top), each one of those totes had at least four bins each inside and those stairs. There's no way I was taking a tote by myself, so I would have had double the trips up and down, then a variety of other awkward, overfilled heavy boxes and containers, a big TV, and the whole master bedroom, and so on. I didn't do these guys any favors. But there was no way I was going to get up and down those stairs without killing myself. What would have taken me literally ALL day (if I didn't croak) they knocked out in no time. The two-hour minimum was worth every penny. Sure they could have had arsed it and used the full two hours. But it was like they were trying to break some kind of a moving all-time record for a three-story condo. They stayed in control though. Great teamwork. Not a thing broken, scratched, or mangled. To top it off, they were friendly and complimentary. Save yourself the hassle, call these guys FIRST and be done with it. The other guys will frustrate the living daylights out of you. Last note. Corey Hayes has done a superb job in helping me finalized my move. The original movers I hired that day decided they didn't want to finish the job because they have gone over the 4-hour period and they claimed their business hours stopped exactly at 7 pm. Leaving any personal belonging the following day was not an option, so I had to find a way to get someone to finish the job. I found Corey of Haze Moving & Hauling on Yelp. His charges were very reasonable given the short notice and he was willing to accept the job from 7-11 pm after a brief discussion over the phone. I was glad and thankful I found Corey because he certainly exceeded my expectations. He was friendly, kind, and a great problem solver. He understood my concerns and the need to completely move out that day. He did everything he could to complete the job with no complaints. Big, big thumbs up for Corey and his crew! I called for help next day unloading a large trailer with furniture, in particular an extremely heavy wooden dining table that needed assembling. Corey fit me in after another job and was thoroughly communicative about how long it was taking and what time he would get here. They arrived early, introduced themselves (so courteous!) and got to work right away, at top speed, no less. When it came to the really heavy table they worked hard putting it together. I don't know if another moving company would have gone through that much trouble for me. They finished with time to spare and asked if they could do anything else with the time I had remaining on the 2 hour commitment. I will have another move to make after this, and this time I will hire them from beginning to end. I just had to write this review, the service I received from Corey and his crew was amazing! We had a family emergency which required a quick response move from Santa Barbara to Palm Springs. I met Corey explained the situation, gave him the keys to our storage unit and the rest is history. They unloaded the unit packed it up and delivered it to my wife in the desert. I developed back problems in the last few years after years of sports and motorcycle riding, so this was my first time needing a professional moving service. After getting scammed (we are not by any means stupid, or born yesterday type of people) out of $1,439 from a moving broker based out of Florida, we were able to book an out of state move last minute with Corey and his crew. They showed up on time, to the minute! and got all of our home moved by the next day. Not only did they have the best price, they were super professional, polite, careful, courteous, on time and flexible. They were so careful and professional, they moved a white (scratches would show very easily), 6 foot dresser, 65" TV and very expensive chair, 33 boxes and other items, all without a scratch. Not a single thing broke in our move, and we didn't pack extremely carefully. They turned a nightmare, desperate situation into a smooth, stress free move. I am late on giving my review but that's not because of anything that went poorly with my move. Cory and his co-mover, Alex, handled my move with such professionalism and skill, I couldn't have been more pleased. I had a 15-ft U-haul truck that I needed help with loading. I had a lot of stuff, (mostly already in boxes) and I was worried that, a) it wouldn't all fit and, b) that something would be damaged. I didn't have to worry about either of them. Cory is an expert at Tetris; he was able to fit everything in the truck and using the moving blankets I'd rented from U-haul, everything was packed, protected and secured for the 300+ mile drive that I had to still make. And, an ultimate compliment came from the movers who I'd hired to unpack the truck when they said, "Wow! Whoever loaded this truck did a really good job!" I think that they were surprised by how many items were packed into a 15-ft truck! I would highly recommend Haze Movers for any moving job.
