Let's face it - no one enjoys moving. I was dreading moving so much, and then City Pro Movers showed up. Let me start at the beginning. I called City Pro Movers and spoke with Sean. Sean was so professional and explained everything very clearly and in detail. He made me feel so confident about hiring them, so I did. Moving day: I hired three men and a truck. Not only were they on time, they were so cheerful! It's like they love their work. The movers were meticulous, thorough and paid attention to every little detail. They asked questions when needed and follow any instructions/suggestion I offered. Again, they were just so NICE and boy, they hustle. I was thinking, "Hmmm. I hired them by the hour - not by the job. Not the best strategy." Wrong. These guys really work as quickly as possible and are totally focused on YOUR needs. The packed up my place and we drove over to my new place. Again, they had the same hustle and spirit when we got to the new place. They put everything where I asked them to, put the beds together, etc. They were super careful with everything from packed boxes to furniture to TVs. Not one thing broke - not one wall or floor was scratched. They are simply wonderful. Finally, from my first call with Sean (who also calls after the move to get your feedback) to the last item moved, the experience could not have been better. These guys CARE and it shows. So we check around and got quotes from 1500 - 3000$ So I called these guys and got a very pleasant response from there office gal Lauren. . So moving day the 4 guys Jamafl, Farrux, Donik, Jenya. Show up I'm worried is this truck big enough, I'm moving from 2300 sq ft and the truck is for 1700 sq ft. But these 4 work no stop .... no damage ... If I could give a ZERO I would!! BAD BAD BAD This company moved us yesterday. I have never experienced such bad movers EVER! So many, many things went wrong!! How did they ever get such a good rating here on Yelp??!!! DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!!! 1. They said they would arrive between 9-10. Two men showed up at 9:55 and the truck with 2 more men showed up at 10:20. 2. Their truck only travels about 25 mph, which really adds to the time. 3. The younger movers are really not very smart. Every box they brought in, they put in the wrong places. I had to go to the storage unit to find boxes they moved incorrectly. 4. After they left from the first location, I followed the back to my house to load up again for storage and consignment drop off. I found THREE of my items on the outdoor stairs on my way down!! Then, they totally missed the large dumpster with wads of plastic wrap! 5. They took 35 minutes to drive 3/4 of a mile!!! The consignment store expected us in the morning, and we finally got to the store at after 6:00. The shop owner was livid she had to stay so late. We finally left that stop at 6:50!! 6. They basically threw our boxes and possessions in our storage unit in such a mess and disarray it was awful!! One of the younger movers kept taking things out of the boxes I put things into and threw the into piles on the ground in the storage unit. One box dropped off their truck and emptied all over the place. Breaking many things. 7. One of the younger movers crammed crushed up moving boxes into ours and the neighbors yard waste, recycling and trash cans. MY NEIGHBORS CANS!!! Without even asking!! AND! he placed our propane tanks by the trash cans on the street like garbage. WHY??? I found a couple of our possessions in the trash also! They parked blocking my neighbors driveway too! 8. One of the movers was on his phone the entire day!! THE ENTIRE DAY!! He also took oranges off my tree without asking. 9. The consignment store owner called to inform me a few of the items she was inventorying were broken, including a picture with totally shattered glass. 10. This all happened yesterday into the evening, and this is all I have so far. I am sure I will find more broken items as I unpack!! read more

Just moved last weekend and hired City Pro movers. They sent a confirmation email as well as called me 20 minutes before the crew arrived. They were on time, fast and efficient as well as all 3 of the gentlemen sent being extremely polite and professional. The truck was very clean and the correct size. They took extra care with all of our electronics and furniture and not a single item was damaged. My husband and I will definitely be using this crew again if we move. City Pro Movers failed to wrap one of my $4000 NW Wool area rug prior to placing in storage. When the movers brought the unwrapped rug into my new home it was crawling with worms and obviously destroyed. All other wrapped rugs were undamaged. City Pro Movers refused to reimburse me for the destroyed rug they failed to wrap and refused to take any responsibility for the action of their movers. I believed CPM was a reputable company. We just recently moved into the area; however, had underestimated the amount of things we had planned to keep at the new place. It was way too much and we decided to have some stuff transported to our parents' house. We gave City Pro a call and they were able to fit just about all of our stuff into a single truck and get it all delivered and unloaded the same day. My mom and dad were supervising the move and even they were so satisfied with the service of these gentlemen. James and kril (spelling error?) really changed our minds about moving companies. They showed up on the dot at the arranged time and were so efficient with moving our furnitures. We had two pick up locations 40 miles apart and we were able to complete the move in 3 hours. James and Kril took special care in making sure our furnitures are well protected and they were really fast at disassembling and re assembling furniture. The prices were also fair and very apparent. They're slightly expensive than a random mover from Craigslist but I'd be more than happy to pay a little extra for excellent service. City pro movers will be my go to movers from now on. I'm relatively uncomfortable letting other people into my home, let alone touch and move my belongings. However, City Pro Movers were so respectful and good mannered that you knew they were providing genuine and authentic service. They arrived earlier than scheduled and did not let any of us pick up a box. Moving is a hassle, I had a headache sorting and packing everything this entire week. But we managed to move the whole second floor in two-three hours and even managed to finish some of the rooms downstairs. I couldn't even walk normally through our whole top floor. There were little knick knacks and boxes everywhere, I kept tripping and breaking things. Honestly, I hate moving. No doubt these movers are pro! They helped me to move from my old condo to a new apartment and it was a great non-stressful experience. The movers not only loaded and unloaded the truck with the furniture, but also helped me to pack and wrap all my stuff. They also labeled each box so I know what goes to the kitchen, and what goes to the bedroom... Oh and I forgot to mention that when we arrived to my new place, they put all the boxes and furniture in appropriate rooms, so I wouldn't have to move around all this heavy stuff myself. Couldn't ignore the fact that I have a lot of fragile pieces so they had to take special care of them, and they did! I got all my furniture relocated to a new place without even a small scratch. Unless I am the unlucky SOB who is the only person had bad experience with city pro movers, or the reviews here are all fake. The service I received on 6/24 was so horrible compared to the mover we used last year to move from east coast. Unfortunately, he only does long distance moving... Here is what happened. First , they were really late. My appointment with them was between 9-10AM. They showed up at 11:30AM. We have a toddler, so we really wanted to settle down as soon as possible. It set us back for 2 hours. The movers moved extremely slow. The mover we had last year, packed everything for us in 3 hours with 2 people. I mean, seriously, 2 freaking people. We didn't have lots of stuffs, so we thought for 4 people, we should be out of here in no time. Since they are paid by hours, we were thinking of tipping them an extra hour. What happened was these 4 people crowed in our kitchen individually wrap every single thing, including spice, while causally chatting with each other. What the hell??!! It took 4 people 4 hours. And let's talk about the way they packed. Seriously, they made the unpacking a living hell. Again, I would need to compare to my former mover who clearly marked every single box, stuffed the drawers of dresser and baskets with things that were close by, and also unloaded the boxes in the designate area. The movers from city pro movers did not mark the boxes, so both them and us didn't know where the boxes belong to. And for the things in the drawers and baskets, they didn't leave them in there. Seriously, you can just wrap them up and transport directly to our new location. No, They brought a big box and they dumped everything in the drawer and basket in it, literally, they dumped it. So when we opened that big box, all we saw was a mess that will take time to sort it out. It took us 3 days to finally unpacked. With a 16 month old toddler, they sure did make our lives a living hell. The city pro movers contracts out their business, so you never know what you are going to get. Strongly recommend you guys go with the local family business. At least, you know what you are getting. read more
