You could tell it was made fresh. The oxtail was perfectly tender, the cabbage was cooked to perfection and the shell was crispy and hot. It was served with a side of oxtail gravy for dipping. My husband ordered the chicken soup and it was West Indian style chicken soup complete with corn on the cob dumplings, assortment of vegetables and the chicken on the bone was seasoned. I know he enjoyed the soup because the bowl was completely empty when he was done! My entree was the oxtail meal with rice and peas, cabbage and plantain, it was one of the best oxtail dinners I've had in a while and if you've read my other reviews you know I go for oxtail as long as it's on the menu. The meat was falling off the bone tender. The rice and peas was perfectly cooked, soft enough to almost melt on your tongue but still was separate and grainy. The cabbage was seasoned and cooked to perfection and the plantains fried just right. For the drink we split a Solo kola champagne (IYKYK). This restaurant will be added to our favorites list for Staten Island and I'm really glad we have a nice sit-down Jamaican restaurant that does not require a toll. One love.

My experience with this restaurant was a 10/10 from the moment I called to place the order. The women who took my order was very kind and helped me determine exactly how much food I needed for my party size. The food was ready upon pickup and the same woman carried my order and put it into my car because my son had fallen asleep in the car on the way over. She refused to let me carry anything, seeing that I was pregnant. She even took my credit card inside the restaurant and came back out with all the papers so that I would not have to leave my car. In addition to the amazing service, the food was OUTSTANDING. Every guest at my party, including myself, was so impressed by the quality and flavor of everything we ordered (smoked chicken, corn bread, pulled pork, potatoes with bacon).
