They were on time and very thorough in their walk-through to assess the damage. They asked us exactly what happened and anything that we noticed of where water came through the ceiling and walls. After taking some measurements they got started with the demolition. I was very impressed with their work and how clean it was. My wife and I cleared anything out of the way that we could to give them room to work. They meticulously went room-by-room, cleaning up their mess as they went. After almost an entire day's work they started the fans an dehumidifiers. A couple of days later they came back with their meters to see if everything was dry. It wasn't quite, but returned the next day to test again and remove their equipment. Overall a great experience during a time of frustration.

I have had to pull children back from crossing the street in a PLAYGROUND ZONE on TWO separate occasions in the last week. NOT IMPRESSED. BOTH PLAYGROUND ZONES are CLEARLY MARKED "PLAYGROUND ZONE - 30 km/hr" on bright YELLOW reflective signs that no one else seems to miss yet somehow, Phoenix Restoration feels they are ABOVE THE LAW and that PLAYGROUND ZONE speed limits do not apply to them. If they do not CARE about CHILDREN in PLAYGROUND ZONES then it should cause one to pause and think hard about how much do they care about the quality of their work in your home? HOW the people drive your heavily logo'd vehicles through a PLAYGROUND ZONE says a LOT about their character as well as the owner of the company's attention to detail in who they allow to drive their vehicles. It certainly does not scream "great" or "integrity" and it certainly does NOT say "attention to detail" nor "caring about quality". What is DOES say to me is that NONE of the qualities I want in a company that I hire to do the restoration on my home will be found at PHOENIX RESTORATION. This is a close knit community with proud homeowners. Some are first time buyer starter homes and some are larger family homes but we are still a tight knit community who doesn't hesitate to ask "Who did the work on your home?" when we have seen a change in a home and I can guarantee you that NO ONE in THIS neighbourhood is going to hire you as you have now succeeded in what you intended your heavily logo'd vehicles to do.....have EVERYONE NOTICE THEM. Just NOT for the reasons you most likely intended. To say I am disgusted at how this company acts in my neighbourhood would be an understatement. They either do not have children themselves or they do not live in the area that they are currently working in so THEIR children are safe but OURS ARE NOT. To be clear, it has happened when they have been coming and going from a job site which is absolutely unacceptable no matter which direction they are going as there is NO excuse for a WORK VEHICLE to SPEED through a PLAYGROUND ZONE at ANY TIME. I am not the first person to have this issue with them but apparently I am the first person to put it in writing on a review. More importantly I am not the ONLY person to make this aware to The Calgary City Police at just how your company blatantly disobeys POSTED SPEEDS especially in PLAYGROUND ZONES and have endangered children's lives in your horrific driving. Complete disregard for the lives and safety of the adults, children, pets in our community does NOTHING to make you "welcome" here to work again as words spreads through the community to "Watch out for those big BLACK PHOENIX RESTORATION TRUCKS! Believe the Yelp reviews - this company is the worst company you can choose! This was a clean-up…read moreproject for a hoarder, which they claim to specialize in. During a pre-inspection to develop a pricing bid, I told them they needed to be prepared with hazmat suits and respirator, like what I was wearing. The day of the project, the crew arrived late which wasn't a good start. They had no hazmat gear, so I supplied them with my personal face masks. A weak substitute for hazmat suite and respirator. They were given specific instructions on what should be removed and not touched. I had to do a lot of heavy lifting myself (I'm a 70-year-old woman) because one of the workers had a bad arm. When I returned to the garage to take a break from what I was doing, I discovered the workers had loaded materials on the truck that they were specifically instructed NOT to touch. I caught the mistake (at least I think I found everything that was not supposed to be removed), but it slowed down the work -- for which I was billed. It got worse: I returned inside the house to find a worker walking around, going into the backyard and wandering room-to-room. I then saw him pick up confidential papers from a desk and examine them. I told him to put them down and that he was being disrespectful. I told him 3 times he was being disrespectful, expecting an apology. None came! This is the company that says that specialize in hoarding situations?? I pulled to crew chief aside and told her to remove him immediately from the premises. They were supposed to clean a bathroom but told me they forgot to bring cleaning supplies. I gave them materials that I had on hand, but frankly, they didn't do much cleaning. I could list many more issues, including the billing, but you get the picture. I have never written a Yelp review - positive or negative. However, ProClaim was so terrible that I have to warn others - do NOT use them! Despite offering to adjust my bill after sending a long email with the terrible service they provided, no adjustment was made. Looking for an alternative? For the second phase of my clean-up project, I hired ServPro. They were AMAZING. Not only did they come equipped and do a professional job, at one point they had a safety specialist arrive to ensure the workers were wearing protective gear. The pricing was competitive, too.

No one is available over the phone or physically in the office. Arrogant and dishonest company. all of them. I don't recommend it to anyone, whether you are a sub-contractor, an insurance broker or a direct client. They will rip you off your time, your money, and your resources. Don't trust them. the worst company in my overall life-experience. Horrible....
