I finally gave up n left. Luckily it wasn't severe. I doctored myself at home. They were people in worse shape than me. They werent getting called back either. I'd drive to Nashville before I'd go there. The actual hospital is nice and has some great nurses and doctors. I've met a few being in there. But that ER needs total remake. This was our first visit to the ER part of this hospital. Horrible. We walked in carrying out…read moredaughter who fractured her ankle. The admitting staff looked at us and did nothing, not even offering a wheelchair. Then we were sat at a desk with other patients only steps away who could easily hear all of their personal information we had to give including birthday and social security numbers. Horrible and easy for the wrong people to steal your identity. When the triage nurse came she actually offered a wheelchair. She was friendly and professional. She ordered the x- rays. We came out and was taken back, not to an exam room, but an open waiting room in the back. No privacy there either. Tyler, the x- ray tech, came to get our daughter. He was exceptional in service. We were brought back to the waiting room. A nurse came and spoke to us. The nurse practitioner stayed about four minutes. She said to follow up with an orthopedic surgeon the next morning and told us who was on call. We asked for a school note. She left and the nurse came with a boot and crutches. He then left and came back with discharge papers. No school note after they said we could have one. No pain control for our daughter. This morning we called the doctor who was recommended to see today. No doctors are available until the middle of the week. We were never told what was going on while in this ER. Nice people, horrible practices. I won't go back unless we have no other choice.

The MRI was done on a Tuesday and we were given a disk with the images at that time. We were told they would be sent to our physician at Vanderbilt, but it took 4 days to send the disks. When I asked why, they acted like this was normal practice. I could have hand delivered the disks much faster and would have had I known there would be such a long delay. When you are dealing with tumors that can double in size in less than 2 weeks, 4 days can be the difference in life or death. Go elsewhere for imaging if possible.
