I booked with Peyton, who is advertised as a "curly hair specialist," expecting a curly hair trim. Their website says haircuts start at $50, and before I even asked about a refund, I specifically asked the front desk how much a haircut typically costs. I was told $50-$65. Imagine my surprise when I was charged almost $100 BEFORE TIP for a trim. To make matters worse, I LEFT WITH MY HAIR WET. So I'm paying nearly $100 for a trim and apparently the privilege of drying my own hair afterward. If the price for a curly trim is nearly double what customers are being told a typical haircut costs, that needs to be made VERY clear before the service begins. Customers shouldn't have to find out the real price when they're standing at the register. I reached out afterward to ask for a refund, and instead of taking responsibility or even trying to understand why I was upset, the manager was incredibly rude. The customer service was honestly just as disappointing as the pricing. I don't mind paying more for a specialty service when the price is clearly communicated and the service justifies it. But charging almost $100 for a wet trim while advertising haircuts starting at $50, then being rude when a customer questions the charge, is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and ask for the exact price BEFORE sitting in the chair. Apparently "starting at $50" can mean almost $100.

I came from out of…read morestate so I am going to compare this place to my other experiences and this is the worst nail salon I have been to in a very long time, sorry :( For background, I have been getting SNS done on my nails for almost 13 years so I have seen that process done every 2 weeks for 13 years and would say I am pretty familiar with the process. When I walked in, I was one of two customers and wanted to get a manicure and pedicure which were done separately (but that's fine unless you are short on time!) so it took 2+ hours to do the whole thing. Now let's get to the worst part, the SNS manicure. I chose a lighter and the lady did a base coat and then proceed to dip 4 more layers of color. I have had 3 layers of color before at some other places but never 4 (so including base powder, that's 5!!!) so when she begin the 4th layer, I expressed my concerns about the thickness of this many layers (not only does thickness look less natural but also breaks faster later down the road), she went on to tell me how I should have told her I only wanted to do 2 layers and it would have saved her time (again, I have seen some people do 3 layers and I thought that's the way she was going so I spoke up at the beginning of the 4th dip). Her other reason was how transparent a lighter color is so she needed to do more layers (other places use white under to address less opaque colors). Of course the nails were THICK and I had to constantly ask her to keep filing it down. She also did not know how to shape my nails almond (she said they were too short?) so I ended up filing my own nails to the desired shape. The cherry on top of this experience was how another customer from out of town called to complain about their service and they employees argued with her over the phone. So if you are out of town, you probably will think this is a subpar place. And yes, my nails did break days later proving the awful work done as my SNS nails never break. Attached is a photo to show the nail break that occurred 3 days later and the thickness. Feedback for the salon: the lady who did my nails expressed doing it this way for 20 years, the length of experience does not determine your ability to do a job well. I hope this feedback is constructive because instead of being defensive, accept that your technique is not great.
