I had high hopes for these headshots and they delivered! Headshots Inc came to our SF office during a work sumit. What a great idea to have for work events and I think employees really appreciate it! I was a little scared the last headshots I got so I was apprehensive, but after seeing the set-up, felt much better. THey had the lights, backdrop, and even touch-up items such as mirrors, blotting papers, etc. to get you prepared and feeling your best. They take multiple shots of you and you can see them right away and go back in to take more. i took some on both sides of my face which was really nice. You get the photos back very quickly. For us, we had a basic edit done and if we wanted a fuller edit, we could pay an additional fee. The photo quality was great and something really important to me, still looked like me (e.g., skin tone was the same). Overall, I am really pleased with how they turned out. As someone who clams up the minute a camera is pointed at me, I absolutely loved working with this team. Before we even get to the photos, they had a mirror and blotting sheets waiting for us at our office set up. Helped us fix our hair and just got the vibes going. Now onto the camera. They made me feel so comfortable, and when I told them to tell me exactly what to do, they did! They moved my shoulders back or forward, fixed my hair, told me tilt my chin up or down, the works. The result was a headshot I actually really love. They were quick and fun and chatted but not too much. The entire process was easy and without any stress. Let's start by being honest. I love taking pictures, I'm one of those people. I've never met a camera I didn't like. When I'm prepared and made up how I like, there's no one who loves being in front of a camera more than me. Been that way since I was little. So when I heard that we were having our headshots taken while in San Francisco, I was TOO excited. A great headshot is worth its weight in in gold and the fact that it was all arranged for us made it even better. My headshot spot was mid-morning and I was so happy to hear the reviews of my teammates who had their images snapped earlier in the day. The word on the street was that the photographer was the ultimate hype man and that we were all in for a treat. I loved that prior to our headshot day, we received some tips via email about best things to wear, how to not try a new hairstyle on picture day and other super important info that I hope saved my teammates from pics they didn't love. I opted to go with color in my outfit and accessories, (soft purples, to be exact) as that's my usual vibe BUT I also wanted to show off my 5-star career, and opted to slip in my YELP track jacket. I loved that when I arrived, the photographers assistant/teammate had blurring sheets and a mirror - what a gem! Some photographers expect you to have ever hair in place, and it was so nice to have a quick last-minute look and blot before I went in front of the camera. We started with a mugshot-ish image to document our name/face, and then we got right into it! The photographer was WONDERFUL. He was so hype and professional, I loved his posing suggestions (and will be using them for the future) and it made my photos go by so quickly. I won't lie, I have a signature pose (which is really obvs. if you look at my pics) and he captured them so well - I could feel my normal fun energy through my pics! I loved the final lighting options on the light edits, felt like he photographed my skin color and hair well without overly editing them - so important to me as a Black woman! When I saw my final shots, (incredibly quick turnaround time!) I was blown away and sent them straight to my mama, my boyfriend, and anyone else in my world LOL. Not due to self-admiration (okay.. maybe a little lol) but I really appreciated how many great shots he managed to get in such a short span of time and the quality of them all. As someone who didn't like taking yearbook photos when I was younger, I always dreaded taking headshot photos. Not anymore though! Headshots Inc made it an absolute breeze to get my headshots done in a fun, comfortable, and enjoyable way. I arrived during my slot time at 9:30 am where a team member greeted me and asked if I wanted an oil blotting sheet -- love that! I wrote my name on a small whiteboard and Dan helped me get some pretty solid photos taken. I loved how fun and comfortable he made me feel while taking my photos. 5 Stars for my new favorite headshots! It's true... I'll admit it... I've been using the same headshot for 10 years. I am no longer in my 20s and no longer a brunette, yet it's been hard to change it up when I've failed at taking a good headshot since 2014. But the time had come- my company had hired Dan from HeadShots Inc to come in and take professional headshots during our recent conference in SF. First off, the communication was GREAT. I got an email a day or two prior to let me know about my scheduled session time and a reminder just prior. The session itself was as painless as a headshot session could be. Dan brought SO MUCH energy to the short session, helping me bring down my awkward walls and trust in the process. By the end, he had my sticking my neck out like a turtle and loving it. (side-note: this is THE MOVE to eliminate double chin! Using it forever now that Dan coached me!) Man I was scared, haha. I hear "headshots" and I think of 8th grade Lanasha who begged her mom to wear thick black eyeliner, purple lipstick, and the wavy bang-straight hair combo for picture day. HeadShots Inc did such a great job with every aspect of my appointment from beginning to end. I wish I could remember her name but the woman who helped with prep was a godsend and so kind. Working with Dan was great for my first headshot experience! A team of two came right on site and organized around 100 of my colleagues and myself over two days. They sent plenty of reminder emails for my slotted time prior too and even sent over some tips for preparing for professional headshots. It was quick, easy and comfortable, I was able to look at the photos right after and take a few more when I noticed a funky piece of hair, but Dan's team was more than happy to help me position my hair, which was so helpful. The turnaround time for the photos was also less than 48 hours- impressive! Would not hesitate to work with HeadShots Inc again. read more

HeadShots Inc came in during a work conference we had in our San Francisco office & we got to experience their headshot services. I'm generally not one who likes to be in front of a camera but had an overall great experience with HeadShots. The guy who helped us over the course of the day as well as another girl were super nice and kept the flow of it running smooth. Some people had a ton of headshots and pose options while others didn't get too many options. Overall, it was okay with me but would've liked to have more options with poses as others did. Headshots Inc came to our corporate office to shoot my department's headshots. They were highly organized and their set up was minimal, yet entirely professional. It was great that they could set up in the common area and leave a minimal footprint. The whole process took I would say about 5 minutes. Granted, there were dozens of us scheduled to get our headshots taken so they were able to efficiently move through the line of people. When I arrived at my scheduled time, I was met with a very friendly greeting and an oil sheet! Love that they have that available to you if you need it. The photographer was fun and lively, and did his best to make you comfortable. I am not a fan of getting my photo taken, so I appreciate him trying to start off by doing something silly to "break the ice". It was a little off putting at first because I was already nervous but after a laugh or two, we were able to get into the poses. They turned the photos around super fast! I thought the lighting looked great. They also sent two options, one with a little slight retouching and one without. However, I was pretty disappointed because the photographer failed to inform me I had lipstick on my teeth! I thought they would at least edit the photos to remove it but they did not. I won't be using these photos unfortunately which is a total bummer. Overall, very professional and great quality photos. Mine unfortunately didn't turn out great, but I saw a lot of my colleagues' photos and they were amazing. read more

Leave it to me to work in a business where photos get taken of me all the time, and I dread looking at most all of them, so when I found out we were getting professional headshots done by HeadShots Inc, I was both nervous and hopeful that they'd figure out exactly how to capture me. Headshots came into our office and I have to say these were the most professional photos I've had done over the years. They had a mirror and oil blotting sheets so you could get ready for your closeup.We had a lot of people to go through so they were running a tight ship, but I felt that they still took time with each of us to make sure to get the shot. Dan directed me to tilt my head in certain ways, keep my shoulders, up or stick my neck out. Some poses felt quite strange and unnatural, but he definitely knew what he was doing. Dan even adjusting the lighting to make sure I didn't get a glare from my glasses. He's a real professional. read more

My workplace hired Headshots, Inc. during our annual conference, to help us with a fresh new look for our profiles. This was one of the most memorable photoshoot experiences I've had and I have quite a few in my day. I loved how organized the entire process was from scheduling, to pre-shoot prep, to the shoot itself. I wish I could remember the guys name but he was a hoot. He hyped me up and helped me to feel confident while I posed for each shot. His direction was super helpful and made sure I was there was a variety of shots and angles to choose from. You mean for about 10-15 minutes I can fulfill my sense of delusion and pretend there's a private photo shoot just for me, you best believe I will embrace the opportunity. We had HeadShots Inc at our annual conference and this was one of the most organized headshot days I've ever participated in. From the amazing lighting and backdrops, multiple photo takes, and views of our photos it just felt very authentic and genuine. I walked away super happy with my photos and couldn't wait for the email. What really stood out to me was the level of prep they do before it's your turn to take your headshots. Not only was the high energy music playing but they had a little prep station to touchup. They had blot papers, mirrors, hair spray, and a few other things to make you feel like 10s across the board. One staff member was the photographer and they had another person prepping everyone. I can't say enough things about HeadShots Inc and let's hope we'll be using their services again. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my time getting my headshots taken with HeadShots Inc! The assistant who was not the photographer, pre-shoot, was very kind and helpful, making suggestions re hair, makeup and more. The photographer was super personable and fun! I appreciated the very specific pose advice that he gave to maximize my shots, and his patience! The photographer exuded confidence. All in all, I am happy with my shots. Thank you for the detailed preparation info, the time put into the shoot, and being able to see the photos briefly in digital form. for next time: I would have loved if they partnered with a hair and makeup person who could have lightly prepped those who needed help before our shoots. Being as these were taken during a conference where the majority of attendees were from out of town, having someone to help with climate changes on hair, jet lag eyes, and all the things recommended in the preparation info that we could not attain due to not living locally. Also, would have loved to have had Yelp props to take some shots with Yelp logos, as we were limited in how many things we could bring from out of town just for this shoot. read more

My dad used to follow our every waking moment with a Danny Tanner style camcorder, and I have to be honest: it made me a bit camera shy. But if anyone needs home video footage of waiting in line at Disneyland, I know just where to send you! Enter HeadShots Inc, where the charismatic photographer had us laughing and leaning in to it, both figuratively and literally. He had such a nice energy that it made everything fun and comfortable, as well as quick and efficient. This might have been one of the only times in my life I both liked the process of getting a headshot, and loved how they came out. The photos came available both raw and lightly edited, and make no mistakes the edits were top tier.. none of that 2012-IG filter vibes, just some nice little lighting enhancements. What a professional and organized setup! In our office for our work conference, Headshots Inc had a booth where we could get ourselves ready for our epic shoot. The first stop was a table where a very kind lady provided some facial wipes, a hand mirror, and other necessary things so we could prepare ourselves. We wrote our name on a dry erase board so the staff would know who to forward the pics to, and we stepped into the light. As I did different poses and took some instructions from the photographer, he was hyping me up all the way. It was cool and the most fun interaction I've had with such staff. It wasn't long before I got the pics back, and I have to say I love them! There's a mark near my temple that I feel shows more than usual due to the lighting, but not enough to ruin them for me... I FINALLY have some new headshots I can use and I couldn't be happier! read more

Got headshots taken during a corporate conference. Haven't had headshots taken in about 5 years. During that previous experience, it gave high school yearbook vibes. Not HeadShots Inc. They came in bringing the energy and enthusiasm to create fantastic headshots. Before stepping in front of camera, oil face pads are provided to clean up your face. Also a quick mirror check before jumping in front of the camera. Once you're in front of the camera, the photographer seriously hypes you up. First there music. Then words of affirmation and encouragement ("pop those muscles out!"). They easily guide you through the poses and the poses are legit. Digital link to headshots sent including, raw, original, and light edits. Probably the best professional headshots I've ever taken. read more

I loved how my headshots turned out! We had the HeadShots Inc team onsite in our office for the day, and were assigned to a time to come take our photos. When our timed group arrived that morning, it was instantly clear the team knew their stuff. They had a photographer, a team member checking folks in, and a team member helping to get people photo-ready. I loved that they had a mirror, touch up products, and took care to check makeup, stray hairs, etc. before we stepped in front of the camera! The photographer had great energy - encouraging a silly shot with our name sign, then directing on head tilts, eyes, etc. for the rest of the photos to ensure the best picture. We got to see the photos before we stepped away to make sure we liked them, went in for a few more, and then off we went in less than a few minutes! read more

Headshots Inc knows what they're doing. They had everything ready to go for us. They set up everything in our corporate office so about 100 something of us could get a headshot. That's no easy task! Everything was so organized from start to finish. They had their photographer and materials all set up and ready to go and all we had to do was just show up when it was our time slot! They even had a mirror and kind staff working to help you fix your hair and fix any last minute touch ups before it was go time. I thought it was so smart of them to have us hold up our name on a whiteboard so they could easily identify us when it came time to sending us our headshots. The headshots felt very organic and professional which I loved, as opposed to something that feels like a forced picture day situation sitting on a stool or something. We took our headshots with direct and helpful instructions from the staff telling us to adjust our arms and tilt our heads, and they came out great!! To boot, we all got our headshots personally emailed to us in a folder via raw and edited pictures. Big kudos to this staff making this such a seamless process for us! read more

I love a selfie, but a photo of my in 4k is a little much...until now. I was able to get an updated headshot on behalf of my company and I am THRILLED with how they turned out. Queue the "so you think your really pretty" line, but actually I do, thanks to HeadShots Inc. The photographer was so fun and warm and made me feel like a true model (more so than I do usually). Dan was so funny and had such a friendly way about putting me at ease! If I could give Dan 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat. I hate having my picture taken. Reminds me of grade school and how awkward those portraits were. Dan was so good at making chit chat and helping me focus on something other than what I was actually doing... posing for a portrait shot but my other pics taken 2 years ago made me look like I had make-up on and the ones taken about 8 years ago, I was about 15 lbs heavier. With Dan's professional and artistic skills, I'm able to use these headshots for my website and other speaking engagements. You know what they say, Camera don't lie. So, that's why you need a professional to take a picture and have it reflect who you are versus a point in time in the morning after a night of eating junk food while staying up late because you have all this energy but don't want to go to the gym because you have appointments tomorrow and a profile picture to take. Anyways, the staff was punctual and cheerful, light manner and unforgiving when it comes to making you stretch your neck. I would recommend them highly to use for a picture needed for portraits or the like. Tip: "Regardless of your gender, maybe dap on whatever you need to limit the look of oily skin aka healthy skin". Those lights are bright and will accent any pimple or bump your face has, lol. read more

Have you ever had a hype man during a photoshoot to make sure you were delivering a quality smile?! Well HeadShots provided just that! This was such a fun and exciting experience for our corporate headshots! There was someone there with a mirror, oil wipes, posing tips, all the bells and whistles to make sure you received a quality images! My only complaint would be that it seems as though they didn't have the lighting quite right for skin of color. I came out quite darker than my normal color. I totally recommend Head Shots. Dan is a master at his craft. I was pretty uncomfortable about the idea of having professional photos taken. I don't consider myself photogenic. But Dan has a way about him that not only put me at ease but helped me to actually have fun. He has state of the art equipment in his pleasant studio that helped him capture some great images for my professional portfolio. Dan is very patient and meticulous. He has a discerning eye for just the right shot. And he knows what to say to elicit the best pose/facial expression for the best picture. We also took some photos on the city streets with some great natural lighting...which was fun. In the end, he and I very efficiently combed through all the images to pick the ones that that were the best. What an amazing experience with Heather today. I was nervous but they prepared me so well. The studio is beautiful. Heather is such a pro. All the shots were stellar and I had trouble picking. Her style felt fresh and unconventional -- more documentary and journalistic than traditional -- and I especially loved her use of black and white photography, which was a big reason we chose her. The day started at our hotel, where she jumped between our separate rooms to capture my wife and me getting ready. Before she had even gotten to our rooms, she had already scouted the perfect location for our first look. The moment was absolutely incredible, and she handled everything; we didn't have to do a thing but follow her lead. That professional confidence continued at City Hall. She has a masterful familiarity with the building. She took full control of the shoot, guiding us as she told us exactly where to stand, how to pose, and where to move next so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. As a photographer myself, I really appreciated her confidence and professionalism. All we had to do was follow instructions and be present. She knows San Francisco City Hall inside and out -- the lighting, the angles, the timing, and the key locations that truly matter -- every shot felt deliberate and it showed. The technical skill here is top-notch-- the compositions were beautiful, the balance of each frame was spot-on, and her gorgeous color grading. We received around 300 images, and the quality is so consistent that I plan to print every last one of them in large format to ensure we have a permanent physical archive. When we received the final package, we were so touched -- she sent our photos on a beautiful USB drive along with printed images, some sweets, and other thoughtful details. It was the perfect finishing touch to a genuinely wonderful experience. I wanted to replace a professional portrait that I had been using for about ten years, and I chose…read moreS72 because Jeff's portfolio looked different from the usual corporate headshots. His portraits seemed to tell a story about the person rather than simply produce a flattering photograph. That was exactly my experience. Jeff gave very clear direction on posture, positioning and expression, which was particularly helpful because I don't naturally know how to pose for a camera. He worked remarkably efficiently; the actual photography took very little time, but he produced a wide variety of genuinely different images. What I particularly appreciated was that the photographs didn't all tell the same story. I ended up with a traditional executive portrait that works perfectly for professional purposes, but also some less conventional, more editorial portraits that show considerably more personality. They are all recognizably me, but different versions of me. The hardest part was narrowing down the photographs I wanted to keep. There were simply a lot of good ones. Jeff isn't inexpensive, but the quality of the work justified the cost for me. I expect to use these photographs for years. In a competitive professional world, how we present ourselves matters. A good portrait can give you an edge. Jeff knows how to find and sharpen that edge.

He has been doing head shots for over 15 years and really knows his trade. In less than an hour Johnny took over 350 pics of me at which point we downloaded the pics onto his p.c. and then reviewed all the different shots. If I didn't find any of the pictures to my satisfaction, he was willing to take another set of shots. However, the pics were great, so he put them on a disc and I was on my way. My cropped out home photos that I'd been using were clearly not going to cut it. In a panic I scoured the internet and came across Brian's work. He managed to book me in at short notice and gave me tons of good advice in preparing. The shoot itself was a lot of fun, and it really felt like we we collaborating together to get the perfect headshot. His photos were instantly loaded up onto a computer screen so we could scroll through and tag the good ones together and change looks and outfits. Brian made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. After the session was over, he worked on a very tight timeline to get me the processed photos before my deadline. Several attendees even commented on how much the photographer's behavior detracted from the experience. Instead of documenting the event, the photographer became the center of attention -- which significantly diminished the overall quality of both events. While I'm sure the photos turned out well, it came at the expense of the guest experience.
