I hired Sasha for my recent wedding and have been completely blown away by his work. I used Sasha's services when I proposed to my girlfriend. The proposal was fairly elaborated. It involved being on the beach, then swimming, then going on a surfboard, and then proposing to my girlfriend.  I can't say enough words how much I am happy I went with Sasha. He has a lot of experience and as I was sharing my plan with him, he brought up a lot of good points that I didn't take into consideration like best angles, lighting, and positions. All those really made everything look better. This review is long overdue, but Sasha is fully deserving of his perfect 5 star rating! Having a photographer capture the moment was the only request my fiancée had made so I knew I had to deliver. Five days before the magic date, the original photographer had to cancel as they came down ill. As you can imagine, the near last-minute cancellation was very stressful, but Sasha soon came to the rescue. Within 30 minutes of my inquiry on his availability, Sasha responded to my email confirming he was available, and we were able to hop on the phone the next morning to talk through my vision for the proposal, organize logistics, and how we'd get this to work. We used Sasha as our wedding photographer and while I have only seen sneak peak photos (which look spectacular) I have a strong confidence in Sasha's abilities and I could see that he was capturing every singe moment of our big day. He worked the entire time and was always shooting photos. He was very charming and making fun jokes to get us through some very long photo sessions and he gave everyone direction on what to do in the photos (which is really important to me because we are not professionals and I wanted that direction). He had me do some awkward feeling poses but they came out looking great in the sneak peak (this is a normal experience as some things feel weird but look amazing on camera)!! I got married sept 2017. i had been following sasha's work for a long time. i liked his style over the typical journalistic approach and, therefore, our pictures came out great, especially our fine art prints. I just wish I had agreed to more of those because i only asked for 5. Just a suggestion, I'd do creative shots with the family as well & incorporate more fine prints with those. I'm so glad he decided to pursue his passion full-time because couples and families need this insightful man. Sasha is unique because he is analytical as well as creative. What this translates to is the most efficient use of your time. You get the most efficient and awe-inspiring results. There are a lot of photographers out there. There are a lot of vendors you have to pay for on your wedding day. Lots of budgeting you have to do. Sasha is worth every penny. Professional: I had my own bridal suite at Casa Real and as soon as Sasha and his assistant arrived - he was professional as can be. Dressed formally for the occasion and had an immediate presence of respect and sophistication. He arrived earlier than we agreed to and I found that very kind and showing a high level of service. During the wedding ceremony and reception, at times you couldn't' tell that he was there. We were having a good time and he was managing to capture it all. Like a ninja! Sasha the Ninja! During the family portrait/group pictures, he used the photo shot plan my husband and I worked on. He was very kind and respectful with our family. He even spoke Russian to make it easier for everyone to understand. Fast & Efficient: We got 9 sneak peek photos within 24 hours of our wedding day! He asked when we were leaving on our honeymoon. I said a few days after the wedding. He said he'd try to get us something before then. We really weren't expecting to but we should have! Sasha is someone who keeps his word and he values each of his clients. He values our time, our money and the huge responsibility given to him to take photos of their magical days (whether its wedding, baby, engagement, etc). We got all of our 1K photos within 2 weeks of our wedding day. I asked if he rushed and the answer is no. No, he didn't. Why? Because he's that good! He's efficient, quick and delivers every time. Amazing results: WOW! I mean, I knew he does photography for Rockstar couples but damnnnnnn! He is spot on. When we met before our wedding, he asked us to send pictures of ourselves or us together that we really liked. Basically photos that we liked so that he could get a sense of how we see ourselves and what kinds of photos we like. He took in everything he learned about us during those meetings, from those photos and that translated to amazingly poignant, romantic and sweet photos. They were photos that we hoped we would have. I wanted to note as someone else had written in their review that I thought was spot on - that Sasha is a terrific DIRECTOR as well! I don't normally do reviews, but my experience with Sasha and his work product in taking maternity pictures was so exceptional that I had to. If I could leave 10 stars, I would. To begin I had scoured pages upon pages of yelp reviews of 4-5 stars maternity photographers. Then meticulously went through their portfolios for those who matched my style and what I was looking for. Sasha's photos really stood out. Not only does he have the "eye," but I believe his third generation professional photography lineage gives him that extra edge that cannot be easily duplicated. Sasha was super responsive when I inquired about his rates and availability. In fact, his rates are extremely competitive or much better than what others were charging. Even though he already had a pretty full month booked, he graciously accommodated me (it was my fault for trying to do this last minute). His communications thereafter continued to be prompt, friendly, and easy. On the day we took pictures, at beautiful spots at Golden Gate Park, local urban buildings, and the beach, my boyfriend and I were a little concerned due to the overcast SF weather. But he assured us lighting would be fine (which it was). I'm naturally very shy and not very photogenic, but Sasha quickly made me comfortable, beautiful and at ease. He directed us how to pose, where to stand, what to do your hands, face direction, etc. and at the same time, let us act, pose naturally. I also gave him a sampling of the types of pictures and poses I was envisioning, and he incorporated them into our photo shoot, but with his Sasha touch to them. The end product. What can I say. Amazing!! The happiness and emotions he was able to capture and bring out in us. His professional eye in determining colors, angles, lighting, etc. enhanced all the pictures. I was thinking there would be handful at most that I would like, but I love them all. Within a week's time, he sent a couple of samples. Soon after, he sent us a picture video clip that we were able to share online. Then the whole picture gallery came. He gave us the option of enhancing five pictures complimentary but they are all so perfect that I will just leave them as is. Thank you Sasha for capturing this magical moment in our lives.
