There's a great deal of trails and rivers. Most of which I didn't have time to fully discover but everything here is well maintained! Thankfully not alot of people come here but this place also features an outhouse and a grill. Definitely reccomend coming here!

Although it is a very short walk, this trail offers a quiet, secluded experience with a great view. And is a wonderful location to be alone with a good book. There's not a lot to see, but if you relax at one of the many overlooks you'll be serenaded by frogs, trapped by the beauty of the colorful water lilies and blanketed in silence. There is one picnic table at the foot of the trail (no grill) & a small area where you could unload a canoe or kayak. It is also a good place to walk your dog if they have behavioral issues as there is very little traffic on this trail.

Yet another section of Portages Hike & Bike Trails, this particular section has an interesting…read morehistory @ the very end of the trail. If you start your journey from Vaughn Road, you can see where nature has carved out large sections of earth & see beautiful ledges peeking out of the soil. Unlike the less visually appealing section that starts near the rubber factory, you are surrounded by woods & farms on either side...and if you have a appreciation for trains/local history; then you'll enjoy walking the trail as it used to be part of the railway that ran through Mantua. Although the entire trail is part of the rails, there is a large plaque at the end of the trail (going towards Garrettsville) that explains the sad but inspiring history that caused a terrible train wreck so many years ago. This section is also well shaded and smooth, you could easily push a stroller or pull a wagon. It is also great for walking dogs that have behavioral issues as it is not well used & relatively quiet.

With the exception of a few residential properties, Morgan Park is the only nice thing in the area!…read moreWith the ugly turnpike on one side & yet another dollar general...this large and quiet park is easy to pass by but not easily forgotten. If you do happen to notice it, you'll enjoy the large open field, beautiful pergola with its swinging bench and wildflowers or (if you enjoy studying insects) being swamped by grasshoppers. Although the signs might boast about the stunning & underestimated dragonfly & how many different species live at the park- I've never seen so many grasshoppers in all my life! However, another not so great pest also resides here.My very first visit here ended in me pulling ticks off of my dogs so make sure you use bug spray & tick preventative since each side of the path is surrounded by tall grasses & weeds. The pea gravel path loops around so you can't get lost. If you use a stroller, mobile wheelchair or even a push one all can enjoy the relaxing environment. There is a path at the very beginning of the woods but it's always flooded so I'm not sure of the difficulty level for this trail.

A great park area w picnic tables and grills! The Park with the actual trails are located across the road. The huge limestone rocks are covered w pebbles that are embedded. There are caves, canyons of rocks w deep crevices and waterfalls !! A great Park for adventure! Definitely recommend and would love to go again! So fun and peaceful

It is a smooth 50 minute drive from downtown Cleveland. Taking 422 most of the way there with back roads the remainder. I was there in know time doing the speed limit. There are a few locations to pull off I noticed. So make sure you choose the Nelson Kennedy Ledges state park for gps. Have walking tennis shoes or boots on. Do not wear flip flops. The trail can be a challenge in anything else. You will fall in love with the beauty of nature. And of course the glass bridge is something that is amazing. I throughly enjoyed it and am already planning it trip back next month. Get there. You'll be glad that you listened and went.

The gravel path is an old railroad line that went from Cleveland and split toward Chardon and Middlefield. Signs tell the history. The Blue Heron rookery is way out in the woods, and is not visible to see.

Flat trails nice for running. Ends with a golf course view. There are restroom facilities and pavilion rentals we did not utilize.

I'm from the east side, and for years I've driven over the bridges telling myself, "One day I'm…read moregoing to stop and wander through that park." I'm so happy I finally did. Now I already know I'll be back, because we only explored part of it -- but what my sister, her pup, and I wandered through was fun, peaceful, and a little adventurous. At one point there was literally a giant mallard just standing in the middle of the woods like he owned the place. And then there were stairs that climb straight up the side of the mountain -- okay, hill -- but it felt like a mountain in the best way. The whole walk made me feel free. If you ever find yourself wanting a moment outside, a breath of fresh air, or just a place to wander, stop here. It's worth it.

Rocky River Reservation is so pretty. There are many trails and walking paths in this park. They…read morehave a popular nature center as well. The park has plenty of parking, depending on what area you would like to explore. There is a golf course and multiple areas for fishing. You can also take your kayak and kayak the emerald necklace. Very pretty during the fall. I recommend bringing a picnic to one of the many picnic areas or sitting on one of the many benches throughout the park and enjoying mother nature.
