In all honestly I APPRECIATED when the vet and staff urged me to wait when I called in panic to avoid running tests or paying for unnecessary treatments. Its the first time I worked with an office clearly looking in me and my dogs best interests. I admit, when you are panicking it can be hard to hear lets sit and wait (I am sure my tone in response to hearing this was not appreciated) but my dogs are happy, healthy and I was able to calm down and make clear decisions. The staff love their job, they even helped me set up check-ins and appointments, even removing the cancellation fee ahead of time in the hopes everything was ok and it would be unneeded BUT having the appointment set as a backup put an ease on my mind. I hope they get more locations throughout CT to possibly get closer to Milford but I will continue going to Westport for their care knowing my dogs are getting actual CARE and not a sales pitch/guilt trip.

I called Final Gift Cremation Services in Oxford, CT, that's how I found out that my pet's ashes were delivered back to Bond Vet on the 12th. Today is September 21st and I don't have my pet's ashes. Bond Vet has strange hours. The reason they have strange hours is because they can't find vets to work for them. Bond Vet doesn't have direct phone numbers to their clinics. When you call them, people from other clinics or who knows where, answer your call. I have a feeling that they have done something with my pet's ashes. I am ready to call my credit card company to dispute the charges. I will also call the Attorney General. I will also take them to court, If you don't want to experience this, do not use this vet. I should have gone to VCA. Do yourself a favor. Don't use Bond Vet. And by the way, Google has 2 'Executive Office's" listed in NYC: both are apartment buildings; one is their clinic. Shady. The CEO is Garrett Lewis but no way of contacting him.

Holistic Mobile Veterinarian - Dr. Anna Gurevich

She was truly an invaluable partner in care when my beloved Brittany Spaniel, Brownie, was diagnosed with liver cancer. I'm certain that he lived longer and with a greater quality of life due to Dr. Anna's expert care. She was so caring, empathetic, and truly there for all of us during that very difficult time. I am forever indebted to her and cannot recommend her highly enough.

All of this began after she was spayed at 6 months and developed a staff infection. I followed traditional medical treatment for years using steroids, creams and shots which only helped on a temporary basis and her condition continued to worsen. I then changed her diet to a raw and grain free food and began a more holistic approach to her care. I saw improvement but not rapidly enough. After reading about the benefits of Chinese herbs and acupuncture, I searched for a veterinarian that used these tools in their practice. I was very fortunate to find Dr. Gurevich to treat my dog, and the results so far are more than favorable. My observatioan of Dr. Gurevich is that she is a very knowledgeable and dedicated young woman who clearly has a great love for her profession and the animals that she treats. She examined my dog and reviewed all her medical records and stated that she would work along with my preferred vet if I wanted her to. After her evaluation, she prescribed two Chinese herbs to help with her skin and inflammation and then performed acupuncture and laser which also treats her skin and paws. After two series of treatments and several weeks on the herbs, my dogs coat is beautiful, and her constant licking of her paws has subsided to where the fur is starting to grow back. Her energy level is astounding to me! She has the energy of a puppy! The best part is that Dr. Gurevich comes to my home to treat my dog which has completely eliminated the stress and anxiety factor of going to the veterinary clinic! I am so pleased and grateful that I have found Dr. Anna Gurevich. I highly recommend her services for alternative therapies in treating your pet.

He is communicative, caring, and has a great bedside manner. It is clear he truly cares about his patients and their owners. He gave my dog his wellness checkup last year. On the other hand and unfortunately, unfortunately, there are absolutely NO good things I can say about Dr. Schoenhut. She didn't return calls on two occasions despite our reaching out multiple times and being told things like, "oh she'll call in in 30 mins;" "oh, she was supposed to return your call after lunch;"; "I'll remind her again in just a minute;" "She's currently in with another pet but she'll reach out before she leaves (which she didn't). It took three more calls the next day (with similar excuses) before she called after the practice had closed for the day. I had brought my dog in for a number of reasons because he had a lot of muscle and overall weight loss in a very short period of time, could no longer jump up onto even the couch, his face had become gaunt, and his face and body (particularly the former) had been turning gray very quickly. Based on his condition, I was pretty sure that he had cancer. I've attached two pictures. The first is what he looked like during his wellness exam with Dr. Nolan about 8-ish months before I came back. The second is what he looked like the month after the exam by Dr. Schoenhut. He wasn't quite as wasted away at the time she examined him, but it wasn't much better. After Dr. Schoenhut examined him, she ordered a number of tests. When the results came in, she started breezing through things without defining the medical terms. I had to stop her, asked her to break it all down, and what it all meant. I asked her to explain the results and just to be straight with me if it looked like it was cancer--particularly because of the way he looked. She was kind of vague, talking about how certain markers *might* indicate the presence of cancer, and then recommended other tests that could be performed--including something like bone-marrow extraction--that would have cost over (if I'm remembering correctly) about $3,000 to $3,500 if we wanted to be 100% certain. I later learned that one of the markers on my dog's original test was in the 9,000 range but normal was in the 300 range, and that plus another elevated marker, together with his physical condition as shown in the picture below were sufficient to diagnose the presence of cancer without the need for the other really expensive tests In both visits Dr. Schoenhut--unlike Dr. Nolan--made me feel like she was just rushing through the appointment to get onto the next appointment. Literally the worst vet experience I've ever had in the 21+ years I've been a dog owner. But for the fact that Dr. Nolan and the staff are so great, I'd have rated the business no higher than 2 stars. If you do choose this practice, make sure you ask for and get Dr. Nolan.
