As we were discussing my past experiences that made me into the person I was, we discovered that growing up with divorced parents with addiction that the best form of treatment would be a program called ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics). As we worked through the program I was able to learn and love my parents for who they were/are as they were doing the best job they could, and not my thoughts on who they should have been. What a freeing feeling to discover as I let go of my expectation of them and realized they are human too. Every session Joe would greet me with positive compliments and every time I would just shrug it off as not significant until I started to believe that I am worth more than what I thought of myself. I learned to love my messed up self and my confidence boosted and I started focusing on the positive things in my life and not the negative. It's been about 2 years since we last met and the lessons I learned through the ACOA program and his help in guiding me to love myself has continued to grow. Joe is a very genuine person and wants to help everyone whom he comes in contact with. After seeing a counselor, you can ask them to refer you to a psychiatrist, if you need to see one. It's a very comfortable environment and I would recommend this place to anyone. It has a private practice feel to it, unlike some of the larger counseling centers, that make you feel more like a number and not patient.

Horrendous is too kind a description for her services. Her license should be yanked. She is harming her clients rather than counseling them. The front desk staff could not be more professional, compassionate, and friendly. The doctors are amazing. The building is clean and conveniently located. I would highly recommend Churchill Counseling but if they recommend Kim refuse her services.

Kim Lydic will lie and do her best to make the other parent look abusive and deny custody. She is biased and will write reports against fathers, no matter how good of a man you may be. Kim Lydic does not follow any of the ethical behaviors of the Counseling Board and she should lose her license. If she wants to get involved in your custody case, then do your best to avoid meeting with her because she will write anything she is told to against a father. No matter what is said in the counseling session, she will spin it against the father. Don't let this happen to you!

I came to them because they had a five-star rating back in the day, but they are quickly declining, because they simply don't care. My Therapist, I won't mention her here because she was awesome and kickass, left to seek better opportunities, and I don't want to include her here, the rating is for the company, not her. After she left she had advised me to contact Blue Star and tell them I am seeking a new therapist, which I did, they told me that I have to go back into the waiting list because that's how their system is, I said ok, it's been more than a month and I decided to call today to find out where I was in the mix, they said that after an update to their system, I needed to reapply with intake. I wasn't even on the waiting list like they told me before, and on top of that they didn't even contact me to inform me, they were just going to let me sit here and rot. no fucking care in the world. not one email, not one phone call, not even a text. please seek help elsewhere, although the therapists and psychologists that work here may, that is MAY care about their clients, the company as a whole does not. as a side note, my girls have been on the waiting list since last year, we finally decided to try one health Ohio, at falls family care and warren west family care, you will get better service with them than anywhere and they'll see you immediately even though it's just one guy John Kelly, it may be two weeks, but no waiting list. The girl told me to do tele-health I agreed to it then she informed me that it was not covered by my insurance and they were charging me $50 due to late canceling. I was cover by my insurance. They DO NOT care about the patients well being they only care about money regardless of what life may throw at you and how your health is mentaly or physicaly they only care about the money and not about you. I do not recommend going to this place
